• Hotel is old. Door frames are repainted and rusting in bathrooms. Room missing microwave and refrigerator and HS Internet.

• The staff is great. Very comfortable beds.
• You have to pay for breakfast.

“I really enjoyed my stay here and so did my girlfriend and 8 month old son. The staff was very friendly and helpful plus they provided a small crib for no extra charge (first come, first serve basis). The place was very comfortable. The pool was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but I still had a good time. The water in the pool is warm, which was great for my son. The only thing I didn't like was having to pay for breakfast...but that is probably because they have an actual cook there to prepare your food the way you like it, such as omelettes, eggs, etc, and they offer a large assortment of food... buffet style.”

• Checking out.

“The exterior belies the poor quality of the rooms. The room smelled badly. Room was a handicapped room with no tub and the shower was dirty and grimy, including the seat for disabled patrons. I would absolutely never stay at this hotel again.”

• Nice and comfortable, good location.
• The staff will not give you a king bed, and I am very tall.

“The hotel is good. In the past they have given me a king bed but now they refuse. It is very difficult to sleep in the small beds in the double rooms.”

• The bed was made with cotton sheets, including the spread, which made it feel cleaner than the rest of the room.
• The front desk was always empty, when the hotel employee did eventually show up he was not helpful and unwelcoming.

“This hotel was an inconvenient distance from 65. The room smelled unpleasant and was poorly maintained: peeling wallpaper, dirty shower/bath, worn furniture, bad lighting, etc. The bedding was better than the rest of the room: cotton sheets and sheets covering the bedspread. All common areas seemed to be poorly maintained and not very clean. The indoor pool was a very small square and the hot tub didn't seem to be in-service, we didn't use either. I was unable to access the internet connection despite multiple attempts with both the wireless and Ethernet connection. The toll-free help line for the internet connection did not seem to be working as I was repeated disconnected after several rings. Most disappointing, the front desk was empty the 3 times I approached. When the attendant did eventually appear he was unwelcoming and not helpful. This hotel was of a significantly lower quality than other Courtyards I have stayed in. It was a very disappointing experience.”

• Ease of check in and comfortable bed.
• Lack of any hand towel.

“The room was comfortable and relaxing. Many restaurants are nearby (even walking distance.) Public spaces can be noisy with groups. The staff was very friendly.”

• A/C unit was a little loud and extra cost for the breakfast.

“Front desk clerk was very professional and polite. Didnt stay very long because of an early meeting. But I would definitely consider staying for my next visit.”

• Very clean & comfortable with a good restaurant within walking distance.
• It was out of the way from the highway we were traveling on.

“The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The towels were so soft - not like sandpaper at another hotel we just stayed at! Also, the shampoos, conditioners, and soaps were upper grade. I would definitely recommend it to others!”

• Unlike other hotels with Lodgenet, the TV in this one was fully compatible with video in devices.
• I have nothing negative to say.

“This hotel is the perfect hotel for business travelers. There are no negatives I can think of when describing this hotel. The bathroom was spacious; the sink offered plenty of counter space, and extra amenities. Hot water was instant, and water pressure was good. The free wired and wireless internet were very fast, and the TV had a full lineup of channels, which is unusual for LodgeNet/OnCommand, as well as the TVs a/v input jacks on the front of the TV working if you want to watch a DVD, etc. The beds were the best part, almost too comfortable; you're remiss to pull yourself out of them in the morning. The staff was great, the gentlemen at the front desk was accommodating in my preference of room type. I was given a balcony room, which was pretty big, and had a few chairs and a table, good for smokers, as courtyards are non smoking. The room itself was very big, and the location was right off the highway, with a restaurant across the parking lot, and lots of stores, and a mall nearby. Courtyards don't typically have in house restaurants as far as I know; otherwise this property would be a 3 star easily. I have never had a bad experience with a Marriott brand hotel, and this one was no exception, absolutely a great hotel for business travelers from top to bottom.”

• It was very nice especially for the price we got.
• We were asked to move at 11pm due to a mix up on the hotel staffs part.

“I would say overall I was very please with our hotel experience. I am waiting on my bill to come in to see if I was charged an additional fee for that if so it will be disputed we had one room with 2 doubles the rest had 1 bed and a pull out.”

“Hotel is very convenient to the Beltline. Staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The available free high speed Internet connection was not used. My room had a sofa and desk table and a balcony to the outside. The swimming pool however is small, and looked dirty. No complimentary breakfast served.”

• Left early in morning 6am - no coffee no staff to be found.

“This hotel is so UNDER RATED and is, to me, better than many 3 and 4 star hotels. Don't know what holds the rating down as it was a wonderful, friendly, very luxurious hotel and I have stayed at many while traveling for business and pleasure. More friendly than the most expensive chains. Got a GREAT deal.”

• The rooms were dirty and the sheets and blankets were still wet.

“I was dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms and the lack of attention the housekeeping paid to detail. The rooms were dirty. On a more positive note the breakfast was great and the wait staff at breakfast were very cheery.”

“Hotel was O.K. but I normally do not stay in courtyards because of complimentary breakfast. They had a breakfast buffett, but price was 7.95.We don't eat that much food.”

“A good value in Decatur, as long as you are willing to be a little bit from downtown. The pool is the smallest one that I've seen in a hotel, but was very warm and just right as long as it was only the 4 of us! The hotel was clean and well cared for.”
