• Easy access to/from highway.
• Looks like a motel, weird people living there, old building.

• It was affordable.
• The room was dirty,
  no AC, everything falling apart.

“The location was very convenient, but the room was dirty, the shower rod and other wall attachments were ready to fall, there was to air conditioning, and we were not warned that there was going to be many spring breakers there. They blasted music until 2 am, which made it very difficult for my husband, 2 year-old daughter, and I to sleep.”

“It was good for a place to rest your head not a whole lot of extra stuff in house. Was somewhat of a scary area, but you will get that when your in a downtown historical area. A lot of stuff to do close by for the history lovers and close to the pier just don't go late because it appears to be a little rough of an area.”

• It was close to the beach.
• It had an odor.

“The location wasn't so bad. The area around the hotel looked a little dingy, but nothing that made me fear for my safety. The hotel staff was very friendly and the only major problem I had was the musty odor of my room. Overall I was satisfied, especially with the price.”

• The continental breakfast was very good & staff was nice.
• People getting drunk/cursing, dirty room, large roaches.

“On the night we arrived people were getting drunk, screaming profanities at each other, etc. The pool was dirty and had thrash floating in it until hours after it opened. The rooms were very gross, we didn't take off our shoes. The sink would get stopped up with every use. There were large flying roaches on the walls outside. We had to rig the grill so we could use it. The pool was decent (once cleaned) and the continental breakfast offered fresh waffles which we loved.”

• They had a clean swimming pole.
• The smell. The partying. The price for an outdated room.

“The restaurant and the lobby were so overwhelmed with the smell of cigarettes. There were groups of people hanging out in the parking lot at all hours of night. The water leaked in the bathtub and the wall paper was falling off the walls. This is a place for college students that are partying and going Downtown however not a place to bring your family. We booked for 2 nights and only stayed one. We moved to another hotel on the 2nd night.”

• The extra muffins we got for our son even when breakfast was over.
• Bathroom smelled moldy, bathroom door didn't close, loud room.

“Location great to go to Pensacola beach since it is near the highway. Our room was rather bad - right in front of the pool even though they knew we would come with two children (1, 3) so it was very loud over noon (nap time). The high chairs were all kind of dirty. Breakfast acceptable, but not deluxe continental breakfast.”

• The elevator was extremely slow and hot.

“The overall stay was okay. The location was good and staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel needs some major updating. Two of the lamps in our room did not work and there was no overhead lighting.”

• I liked how the staff checked up on me and asked if I needed anything.
• I didn't like how small the room was and far away from the lobby.

“The staff was very friendly and attentive but the room felt really dull and un-romantic and I didn't really feel like I was in a safe environment. But I like that there was a restaurant in the location of the hotel.”

• Clueless, the first room was horribly nasty.

“There is a wide range of room quality, I was supposed to be in a double and had to pay extra to get into the correct room, otherwise, I would be snuggling with my overly hairy buddy. The extra was worth it, the room they moved me to was great.”

“Comments: Multiple phone attempts (four) to resolve issue. Days Inn Pensacola-Historic, considered to be in the Pensacola Bay or Pensacola. Beach area by the hotel. I was sent a $10 of voucher for a future purchase, not much help this. We leave for our vacation today, we hope everything is to our standards.”

• The close proximity to the trains.

“I didn't like my stay at this hotel because I had a room near the train tracks and I heard train late into the night. The other thing that I disliked was that the tub/shower was dirty. The room had everything you would need in it like a refrigerator, microwave, iron, and the beds were pretty comfortable.”

• Filthy room, dirty bedspread, towels smelled, bad area, does not deserve any rating.

“I am appalled you would recommend this. It really should be removed from your list. Dirty and uncomfortable bed, towels had an odor to them, coffee maker didn't work, bed linens were too small for bed so you wrestled with them all night. This is a bad place.”

• The staff was very friendly, and made you feel at home.
• I feel the room could have been nicer. It needed some updates.

“All in the entire hotel was not too bad. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Although, I did feel that the rooms were not the best. The door handles stuck, the bathroom was very small, and there were chips and cracks in the paint and in the bath tub. The room also had an unpleasant odor from the time I arrived.”

• Very loud in the parking lot throughout day and night.

“Hotel had a decent breakfast each morning and free parking. There was a very large family gathering in the parking lot each day of our stay. Could hear most of it from inside the hotel room. Hotel rooms have ironing board but no iron. Sink clogged frequently but room was pretty clean. Never felt unsafe while staying there though.”

“My daughter 8 yrs old was very concerned & bothered by the homeless men. So that was kind of scary for her. My husband each day went and cleaned the debris out of the pool and all the trash left around it so the kids could play. Downtown Pensacola is very scary as most buildings are vacant or very old. We will not be staying anywhere near downtown. The staff was very nice and we had a wonderful time, regardless.”

“This was dirty in the rooms and in the bathrooms. The refrigerator was dirty and not kept and the outside needed work and the pool area was not very nice. They had a good breakfast but the restaurant didn't look so great.”

“It was a nightmare. The room was gross and the trains that are 20 yards from the hotel ran all night. Not to mention about 4 helicopters flew over. It was a horrible experience and after only one night of a 3 night stay I checked out and spent more money to get away from this location.”

• Internet never worked; noisy on both Friday and Saturday with a bar attached.

“This hotel was not quite what I expected. It was not all that clean and there were bars on some of the windows. It was a very noisy stay on Friday and Saturday with screeching cars and yelling people coming out of the bar. The food was good at the restaurant and not too pricey. The breakfast was not as good with grouchy morning people who were not helpful. The Internet hardly ever worked in the room and there was no "business area" to print anything. Not worth the stars.”

“While I was pleased to find I would be in the downtown area near all the things I wanted to be near, I was immediately shocked when I opened my room door. The musty smell of the room hit me like a freight train, and although the room said non smoking, cigarette burns were everywhere. Most of the time I was in the room I had the door open to bring in fresh air as it was tiny, cramped and musty. There was very little room to move, even the bathroom had issues. While it had plenty of hot water and great water pressure the toilet was actually slanted, if you needed to sit down on it you were in danger of sliding off, also the exhaust fan didn't work so when taking showers so much moisture built up on the floor you were sure to slip when you stepped out, there were even cigarette burns on the tub. No fresh linens during the course of the stay, half the time there were no fresh towels after I returned from my day out. This could have been a much better experience with little invested by the staff.”

• Looked descent from the outside, but was not as comfortable. Too much did not work. Not enough towels.

“Nice looking, but not a place I would stay again. Only one set of towels per room and the restroom door would not secure. I had to pay a deposit to get an iron and it was not a very good one. I could go on about what I did not like, but since I am not going back to this hotel, there is no purpose.”

• Smelled like a smokers fart. Everything was worn out.

“Small, cramped, holes in sheets and covers, smelled like a smokers fart. Could hear people breathing next door and outside. Train went by all hours of the night. Hard to get to sleep, hard to keep sleeping. Bathtub was worn out, bathroom door was coming apart. Security would not stop outside partying people from screaming all hours of the night. Place needs to be gutted and redone. Worst hotel I have ever stayed.”

“This hotel was considered downtown but was on the edge of an unsafe, creepy part of downtown. The hotel was situated off the main road down in a pit and did not feel safe. The room was dirty feeling and the bed was uncomfortable. The hotel turned off the water at 8:00 a.m. when most are showering. There was no hot water.”

• Convenient to Pensacola Civic Center.
• Old and worn out looking, not fresh and appealing, not so safe neighborhood, and unable to get desk clerk to notify them that stair lights were out!

• It was a dump and not conducive for business or family environment with people making noise all through the night.

“I had mold growing in several different areas of my room (bathroom tub and ceiling, ceiling in the sink area, and the walls in the sleeping area). The floor had dead roaches in the corners and smelled of mildew. There were people making noise at all times of the day and they looked to be long term guest.”
