• Location was close to attraction we wanted to see.
• The room had a extremely strong musty/moldy smell.

“The indoor pool was so cold that my infant son had blue lips after only 2 minutes in the water. The odor in the room was so strong that it almost took your breath away.”

• They have a very good free breakfast bar.
• Not much in the way of dining close by the hotel.

“Very nice hotel close to the city of Chicago. You can have a very short drive or train ride into the city to all of the attractions. Also very close to the Cabela's outdoor store.”

• I found the whole atmosphere to be superb. I always ensure that I stay at Marriott.
• I wish the bathroom wasn't separate from the sink. I do see the logic of the layout though.

“It was cute; the atmosphere was amiable, nicely decorated, courteous staff and just a great opportunity to relax away from home.”

• It is very convenient to where we were going.
• We had a double bed rather than queen or king.

“The employees were very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and were told we could check in at that time (about noon) with a room on the 4th floor or wait about 2 or 2 1/2 hours and get a room on the first floor. We appreciated that information. We came back in about 2 1/2 hours, the clerk recognized us and we received a room on the first floor.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• I liked everything.

• Elevator was down for a short time.

“We were very pleased with this motel. The room was very comfortable, king size bed. Employees were very friendly and helpful even when the elevator was down for maintenance. By paying in advance, check out was very fast.”

• I don't know why, but the air in the room was way too dry. Woke up parched.

• Internet hook up did not work and pool closed.

“Overall for a traveler that needs a place to stay overnight it's a good locale and easy to find. Service was great. Internet would not work not my comp. It worked at all the other hotels I stayed at. And when I made the reservation it was not mentioned that the pool was closed for renovations. Otherwise it was fine.”

“The hotel was confidently located from all of my destinations. I was there on business and I was very pleased with the hotel and the accommodations. When I checked in, the clerk informed me of the hours of breakfast. The next morning before departure, I was expecting pastries and juice, well to my surprise; I had a variety of options for breakfast such as waffles, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, cereal, coffee, juice, toast, etc. The cafe host was wondering. I would recommend this hotel to friends, colleagues and family.”

• Within walking distance from the travelers information center. Cookies and juice was offered once. Shopping and restaurants within 15-20 minutes.
• The toilet did not flush thoroughly. The room was not cleaned one day. Room service stated we had to be out by 9-10 AM in order to be cleaned.

“I would recommend this hotel again. Check toilet first. Room should be cleaned no matter what time you leave the room. Evening snacks should be offered every night. Excellent with printouts of maps and restaurants.”

• The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and competent.
• Friends we were traveling with were not able to get satisfaction.

“We were pleased with the hotel with regard to cleanliness, staff, and service. The only negative part of our stay was that the couple traveling with us were placed in a room next to guests who stayed up all night and made considerable noise. Security requested them to be quiet, but was ignored. The hotel security then told our friends that the noisy guests paid for their room too, so they would just have to put up with the noise. Our friends were not able to get any rest all night. I feel the hotel could have handled this better.”

• Were not able to darken the room at night due to bright street light and hidden curtain.

• It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Continental breakfast was a plus.
• Located in the middle of huge construction zone, which understandably cannot be helped.

“Our room at the Fairfield Inn at Hammond Indiana was beautiful and immaculate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt it was a tremendous bargain. I feel like we were very fortunate to stay in such a nice hotel at such a small price.”

• We really like receiving a morning newspaper every morning!
• This was a great motel. So if I have to gripe about something- it would be not having de-cafe coffee also in the room....only regular.

• The staff was more than pleasant, and yet did not interfere with my agenda. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
• Location. had to search to find it : the last one in a circle of hotels.
