• Clean, friendly, quiet and safe.
• No safety bar in bathtub, no fan in bathroom.

“This is the third time that I have stayed at this Amerihost and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, helpful and caring about your needs, especially when my dad passed away and we had to stay on a short notice.”

• Several amenities, great location.
• Rooms little out dated.

“Staff very helpful and pleasant. Nice pool and business lounge with computer. Overall, really good hotel. Would definitely stay again.”

• Staff could not do enough to please or accommodate you, friendly and professional, the best.
• We aren't crazy about the round about entry way to get to the motel entrance.

“Wonderful service, spotless rooms, people are always very friendly and accommodating. We stay there when we can. Would recommend it to anyone else traveling thru the area. It is like our home away from home.”

• I liked the refrigerator and the microwave in the room.
• The room was not very clean.

“The reason I was staying in an Amerihost Inn room was to visit my daughter and her family. I wanted them to spend time with me at my hotel. I thought it would be fun for us to visit and swim in the pool. But I was told there was a 4 person limit in the room and in the pool. There was no one in the pool area except us. So I guess I will not be staying with Amerihost Inn again.”

• Nice, clean room and hotel. Great breakfast. Nice, clean pool area, friendly staff.
• Location near interstate and abandoned store. The outside of the hotel needs painting badly and a facelift. The inside could use some new carpet.

“The hotel stay was worth the price we paid. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was great with a lot of choices to eat. The pool area was very nice. When you pull up to the hotel we were scared it may be a dump by the looks of the outside appearance. It needs some talc. It could also use some new carpeting inside. It is looking worn.”

• Liked that it was quiet and close to the highway. That there was bus service to the airport just down the street from the hotel.
• Nothing.

“The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Liked the pool area and how it was open all night. The breakfast in the morning was great, loved being able to make our own waffles. Liked the idea of a fridge and a microwave in the rooms, we had bottled water and little cans of pop that we could keep cold. Hotel was right off of the interstate and restaurants and business' were just up the road. We were able to find my friends house really easy from this location. Liked that there was wireless internet and a bus service to the airport just down the road since my husband was flying out of Chicago, so we didn't have to battle morning traffic. Overall, we had a good experience at this hotel and will probably stay there again the next time we visit Hammond.”

• 24 hour swimming pool and spa.
• The driveway was hard to find.

“This hotel is very nice, comparable to a Courtyard Inn. The staff is wonderful and cheerful. The pool is open 24 hours. What a nice thing when you are an adult and want to have some pool time to yourself without screaming children.”

• The staff was really good they made me feel at home and comfortable
• I didnt like the carpets in the public areas they were stained and faded

“For those visiting in the South Suburbs Namely Calumet City Il The location is Ideal Microwaves and Refigerators were so convient. The rooms were modern and clean Staff was nice and accomodating. My only problem with this hotel was the lobby and hallway carpet it was stained and faded and needed to be replaced. Over all it was a plesent esperience and i will probably use this hotel again when I need to plan a fam reunion etc.”
