• EXCELLENT: Location, quality of room for the price I got, staff, breakfast and the fact that the manager served free drinks between 17.39 and 9.30.

“I would warmly recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, appreciative of your business, which I found to be a great way to show their interest in having you as guest, excellent location, excellent breakfast, excellent room! My room had a nice view toward the lake.”

• Parking cost a lot, internet access cost extra.

“The Embassy Suites was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay on our recent vacation. It was so nice to be right downtown, within walking distance of shopping and many restaurants. Our room was very spacious and had a nice city view. The breakfast was simply amazing - a great way to start the day! We would definitely come here again and will recommend Embassy Suites to our friends.”

• The location of this hotel is very convenient. Our room had a fantastic panoramic view of Lake Michigan. The atrium was beautiful.
• We felt that the parking garage rate was extremely high and its entrance was not well marked.

“Our stay at the hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The only negative about our room was that the bed was full size, not queen. However, the magnificent view of lake Michigan from our window - which we could look at from the bed - more than compensated. The food on the breakfast buffet was very good and there was a nice variety of items from which to choose. But, the scrambled eggs were powdered and tasted absolutely horrible. The buffet lines would move much quicker and more efficiently if service was from both sides.”

“We were overall very impressed with our stay. It was convenient for dining and shopping which was our main purpose of the trip. The staff was excellent, very convenient parking accomodations, and absolutely love the cook to order breakfast and drink reception at night!”

• Good location and very friendly staff.
• Lobby is on the second floor and the bell captain and cab on first floor.

“This hotel is very nice when traveling with small children because of room set-up. It was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Located close to Michigan Ave and the shops there.”

• My husband and 2 children, ages 7 & 10, enjoyed the big breakfast each morning and the glass elevators. The suite was clean and comfortable.
• Visitors were not allowed to use the hotel luggage carts if they were self parking.

“Great location for family access to tourist sites and Miracle Mile shopping. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms large and comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Very close to Navy Pier and Dick's Last Resort, 2 blocks away from bus routes and shopping, across the street from a grocery store.”

• Beautiful view of harbor; location close to Navy Pier; within walking distance of Magnificent Mile; convenient layout in suite.
• Cleanliness was below par (stained comforters, dirty coffee pot in room, ring of dirt around inner pool rim).

“Nice facility, good location, convenient room layout, but needs attention to cleanliness. The complimentary breakfast is very good in both taste and variety, but get there early for the tables fill quickly.”

• Free Happy Hour, location, hotel room was spacious.
• Too many kids in pool/hot tub, we were not able to use either. Loud kids in next room.

“Great location. Free evening happy hour was a nice perk. I would stay here again for those 2 reasons. However, this hotel is very family-friendly, which was very annoying since we were not traveling with kids. There were too many kids in pool/hot tub, even at 10:30pm and we couldn't even get in. Also, there were loud kids in the room next to us, and also rowdy kids running up and down hallways, etc. Fridge in room did not work (door was broken), and toilet flush handle was broken.”

• The bed was extremely comfortable.
• Parking was incredibly expensive.

“This hotel was wonderful - the location was great, the staff was friendly, the room was nice and clean. The happy hour and breakfast in the morning were a wonderful bonus and definitely made the price of the hotel worth it. The AAA rate was also great at this hotel. We very much enjoyed our visit and would absolutely stay at an Embassy Suites again!”

• Price and location made this a decent place to stay. Nice hotel for the money.
• Small pool, expensive bar, poor breakfast set-up, carpet in the halls.

“We chose the hotel over others because it sounded like it would be a good place to be if our kids were a little noisy. That worked out great. It is a nice, clean, safe place and worth the price. Our backyard swimming pool is bigger than this one. They tell you to be at the breakfast buffet to avoid lines before 8:30, so everyone showed up before 8:30 and the lines were empty at 9:45, but breakfast is free. Bar is priced at airport prices.”

• Excellent price, the hotel suite was beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast a real treat.
• Long lines on the ordered breakfast.

“We had a family gathering in Chicago and booked three suites. We were two seniors, 2 kids (12 and 17) and 4 adults. Everybody was very happy with the hotel experience. Because of a snow storm, we spent a lot of time in the hotel and really enjoyed everything. The suites were very roomy, clean and comfortable, the breakfast and manager cocktails, excellent, the staff friendly. Will go again.”

“The hotel was what we expected. We actually stayed there for the second time and it was still very family friendly (we were two families with 6 children in total). At the same time it is very clean and run very efficiently. The only thing we did not like as much were the long lines for the included breakfast and the manager's happy hour.”

• I liked the suite setup w/sofa bed in a separate room.
• The complimentary breakfast buffet was chaotic and noisy in the big atrium.

“I love the location! The room was very nice, and comfortable. The big atrium was not as comfortable as some, and noisy, but for what we wanted. A good room in a great location. It was all we could want for the price at the busy time of year.”

• I got a smoking room and I had confirmed a non smoking room.

“The hotel was very nice and our room was satisfactory. Most of the staff was friendly, but our room was ok. The remote didn't work, there were stains on the carpet and it smelled badly of stale smoke. Overall, it was nice and the location was good. I was happy overall.”

• The breakfast buffet was great and happy hour too.
• We got a smoking room, but it wasn't the end of the world for the price we paid.

“We had a great time. Walking distance to Michigan Ave shopping and close to bus route, etc. There was a high-end grocery and Starbucks across the street, which was convenient. Staff very friendly and included breakfast and happy hour a treat. We'll go back definitely!”

• The hotel staff was very helpful! I also loved the atrium.
• It is a bit off the beaten path of the Mag-Mile.

• I loved the room at Embassy Suites. It was spacious and clean. The workers at the hotel were very friendly.
• The breakfast was free, but the lines were very long.

“Wonderful hotel. I would like to stay at this hotel every time I go to the city. I did not get the opportunity to use the pool, however it looked very nice. The rooms were big with plenty of room to move around. Great place.”

• I enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning.
• Even though the room was smoking, the room smelled stale and stuffy. I think more ventilation is needed (i.e. ceiling fan).
