• Pool is small. Parking was a bit much ($96 for 2 nights!).

• The bed was extremely comfortable.
• Parking was incredibly expensive.

“This hotel was wonderful - the location was great, the staff was friendly, the room was nice and clean. The happy hour and breakfast in the morning were a wonderful bonus and definitely made the price of the hotel worth it. The AAA rate was also great at this hotel. We very much enjoyed our visit and would absolutely stay at an Embassy Suites again!”

• Price and location made this a decent place to stay. Nice hotel for the money.
• Small pool, expensive bar, poor breakfast set-up, carpet in the halls.

“We chose the hotel over others because it sounded like it would be a good place to be if our kids were a little noisy. That worked out great. It is a nice, clean, safe place and worth the price. Our backyard swimming pool is bigger than this one. They tell you to be at the breakfast buffet to avoid lines before 8:30, so everyone showed up before 8:30 and the lines were empty at 9:45, but breakfast is free. Bar is priced at airport prices.”

• Excellent price, the hotel suite was beautiful and comfortable, the breakfast a real treat.
• Long lines on the ordered breakfast.

“We had a family gathering in Chicago and booked three suites. We were two seniors, 2 kids (12 and 17) and 4 adults. Everybody was very happy with the hotel experience. Because of a snow storm, we spent a lot of time in the hotel and really enjoyed everything. The suites were very roomy, clean and comfortable, the breakfast and manager cocktails, excellent, the staff friendly. Will go again.”

• Long wait at the breakfast lines and for the manager's happy hour.

“The hotel was what we expected. We actually stayed there for the second time and it was still very family friendly (we were two families with 6 children in total). At the same time it is very clean and run very efficiently. The only thing we did not like as much were the long lines for the included breakfast and the manager's happy hour.”

• The front desk was not well staffed. Desk staff could not locate a package that had been left for me.

• Unsupervised children in pool (screaming and running). Parking high priced.

• The concierge was never there on Friday or Saturday but was there when we checked out on Sunday.

“Overall the hotel experience was good it started off a little rocky with the check in process and did not get a king sixes bed room but a room with 2 double beds but was able to accommodate. All other experiences went well.”

• I liked the suite setup w/sofa bed in a separate room.
• The complimentary breakfast buffet was chaotic and noisy in the big atrium.

“I love the location! The room was very nice, and comfortable. The big atrium was not as comfortable as some, and noisy, but for what we wanted. A good room in a great location. It was all we could want for the price at the busy time of year.”

• I got a smoking room and I had confirmed a non smoking room.

“The hotel was very nice and our room was satisfactory. Most of the staff was friendly, but our room was ok. The remote didn't work, there were stains on the carpet and it smelled badly of stale smoke. Overall, it was nice and the location was good. I was happy overall.”

• The breakfast buffet was great and happy hour too.
• We got a smoking room, but it wasn't the end of the world for the price we paid.

“We had a great time. Walking distance to Michigan Ave shopping and close to bus route, etc. There was a high-end grocery and Starbucks across the street, which was convenient. Staff very friendly and included breakfast and happy hour a treat. We'll go back definitely!”

• The hotel staff was very helpful! I also loved the atrium.
• It is a bit off the beaten path of the Mag-Mile.

“We enjoyed the hotel and hope to return with our nieces some day. The breakfast was a great way to start the day, and cocktails in the evening were a nice way to unwind. I hope we can continue to get a hotel like this for the price we paid.”

• I loved the room at Embassy Suites. It was spacious and clean. The workers at the hotel were very friendly.
• The breakfast was free, but the lines were very long.

“Wonderful hotel. I would like to stay at this hotel every time I go to the city. I did not get the opportunity to use the pool, however it looked very nice. The rooms were big with plenty of room to move around. Great place.”

• I enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning.
• Even though the room was smoking, the room smelled stale and stuffy. I think more ventilation is needed (i.e. ceiling fan).

“I have stayed at Es in several cities and have always been impressed by gorgeous setting of the lobby and atrium. This hotel was extremely disappointing in that respect. The location was wonderful however, and we walked everywhere. Staff was wonderful and helpful and the made to order breakfast was great.”

• I can't think of anything.

“I found this to be the best hotel we stayed in during our stay in Chicago. We also stayed in the Westin and Wyndham and they were not close overall to this hotel. We had a problem with our wireless and this hotel actually sent up a person to fix the problem. Very impressive when most give you an 800 number to call. We will go back to this hotel and highly recommend it to travelers wanting to stay downtown Chicago.”

• Not able to check in prior to 4:10 (from 11am) because no rooms were available.

“Great hotel and location. Only complaint was that we had to go back to the hotel to try to check in. We started at 11 am and finally got to check in at 4:10 pm, tried numerous times in between and were told that no rooms were clean yet.”

“Excellent location, clean, friendly staff, complimentary breakfast with hot buffet (better than other Embassy Suites), reasonable priced for downtown Chicago and it is the perfect getaway for a family with children, close to Navy Pier, Grant park and Magnificent Mile. We booked for 3 days and ended up staying a whole week. Highly recommended. Best price/quality ratio you could find in Chicago!”

• Excellent location within walking distance to Michigan Ave, navy pier, Millennium park, and restaurants.
• Difficult to find the parking garage, took a while to navigate through the streets.

“I loved this hotel. It was extremely nice and the free breakfast was great! They also have a happy hour from 4-7:30 where they have free drinks and appetizers. Great location, would visit again. Navy pier is only about 4 blocks away and Michigan Ave is right up the street. Couldn't have asked for anything better.”

• It was simply decorated etc, but elegant. Very clean.
• A little confusing on 2 sets of elevators. Had to take garage elevators to get to front of hotel.

“This was located a few more blocks off Michigan Ave. than we usually stay, but we actually liked the location. Close to grocery stores, movie theater etc. The hotel was so spacious and the breakfast and social hr each eve was very nice. One of the best places we have stayed.”
