“Right off of Michigan Avenue. There is great parking at the self park for $35.00 which takes Cash only, but really great.”

• Rooms were large and hotel had excellent location
• Valet parking was only hotel option and it was $45.

“It is literally right next to the Hancock building and right by Michigan Ave. shopping. Only downside is parking. $45 for valet parking at the hotel, which is your only hotel option. Other parking nearby is available for $30 per day. Overall, the hotel was gorgeous and had everything I needed.”

• The front door is not stroller friendly.

“This is a wonderful hotel located downtown and close to major attractions. The Hilton was clean, fresh looking and staff was always ready and waiting to help. I completely enjoyed my stay at the the Hilton Suites Magnificent Mile.”

• Great use of space in the room--felt like a suite!
• Price for wireless was high.

“We loved staying here. The hotel was so comfortable, we spent much of our vacation indoors! The pool and whirlpool were amazing and offered great views of Lake Michigan. Great upkeep and friendly staff. The only downside was the price for wireless use which caused some issues for us.”

• The valet parking was made very easy by staff.
• The living room had a flat panel TV but the bedroom did not.

• The room was a little plain.

“The hotel is in a great location near the Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The room was of decent size and was very clean. It could have had better furnishings for the hotel. The pool is on an upper floor which provides beautiful views of downtown and Lake Michigan, however as many hotel policies are it closes early, at around 10 pm. It has a cafe and one restaurant / bar but our group ventured more downtown for food and nightlife, which is walking distance away from shopping, bars, restaurants, etc.”

• Convenient location & excellent rooms.
• Workers were on strike in front of the hotel!

“The hotel was very conveniently located next to downtown, shops, restaurants. The red line was only a few blocks away which made for cheap transportation to Wrigley Field. Although the hotel was conveniently located, we did drive right by it! The entrance is on a side road, almost an alley that we were not aware of until we drove by.”

“The staff was very friendly and helpful and facilities were standard but overall a very nice hotel. The location was excellent. I especially liked the convenience of the swimming pool and having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I would definitely return to this hotel.”

• Staff was extremely accomodating.

“The hotel was well located in downtown Chicago. We arrived about an hour before check-in, and the hotel allowed us to check-in early without any issues. Staff was very friendly and gave us many recommendations for nearby restaurants and nightclubs. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel was very quiet. I would highly recommend staying at this establishment.”

• Loved the suite and loved the French doors!
• I have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

“My mother stayed at this hotel during her visit to Chicago and LOVED it. Also the suite was a little small, it was perfect for one or two people. She loved the French doors and like the mini-kitchen in the room. Her only complaint was that there was no mini-fridge in the room.”

• The location was great. I liked the suite set up of the room.
• The Starbuck's service was slow and expensive, and ran out of food. The hotel staff was not very attentive.

“Overall, the experience was very good. The location is perfect. The rooms are comfortable. However, a light was out in our bathroom and was never replaced. We asked for a cart and were told one would be sent to our room, and it never was. My husband had to carry all of our luggage by himself.”

• Good location behind the water tower.
• Late checkout requested and items were thrown away. Hotel staff found some items but really didn't make things right.

“This hotel was great until we asked for a late checkout. The maid came in and threw away our items. They found some things, kept some items and other things (minor things) were at our lost. Almost suggested we were lying about items. I would not stay here.”

• Thin walls.

“The Hilton is conveniently located two short blocks from the water tower and across the street from the John Hancock. The room was a 1br Suite that offered a separate bedroom and office/den area with a TV in each. The room was also equipped with a wet-bar, microwave, refrigerator, small coffee pot, and desk area (with an extra roll out desk). Unfortunately, the couch wasn't overly comfortable (it would be best used as a meeting area vs relaxing area). The bedroom offered a view of the lake (between two large buildings) and floor to ceiling windows. Here too, the room looked nicer than it was comfortable since the windows were poorly insulated and the heating made it hard to find a comfort zone. In addition, the bedroom walls were a bit thin, and we could hear our neighbors talking in the late evening. Overall, the room and hotel offered the services you'd expect from a hotel of this quality, and my listed complaints were, in truth, relatively minor. While the hotel isn't flashy, its a very decent and nice.”

• Comfortable bedding, mini fridge for personal use, very clean and right off Michigan Ave.
• The sink, toilet & shower were all in one room which surprised us for a room that can sleep 6.

“Little housekeeping issues impacted our overall impression of the cleanliness and upkeep of this property, although hotel management quickly responded when brought to their attention. Hallways were not swept the entire time we were there. Housekeeping totally overlooked cleaning our room one day. Coffee packets in the room were not properly replenished. Little things all added up to impact our overall impression.”
