“Ok hotel, really nothing out of the ordinary at all. Was given a smoking room, when was not requested and they couldn't change it. But it didn't smell of smoke so that was fine. However, I think everytime I use priceline and get a good deal, the hotel then gives you the loud room right by the elevator!”

• Amazing location, spacious & very clean room, convenience!

“I have never stayed in this area of Chicago before, and we do visit Chicago often. We were in town for a concert at Wrigley field, and had wanted to stay close enough to get to the concert quickly via the train system, and this locations was absolutely perfect! Great area, great shopping, and easy access to where the concert was. I would definitely stay in this area of Chicago again. We mainly try and stay in the loop area, and have never been this far out before.”

• Wonderful bedding, shower was good, bathroom was big, very clean.
• There was more talking noise that we heard either in the hall or the next room both at night and in the morning.

• Location was perfect.
• The view from my room was a solid brick wall.

“Nice hotel in great location. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. I was disappointed to see that local calls are 1.50 plus .10 a min. that is excessive! Also, there should be free internet, not 10.95 a day that is just silly in today's world. There are a lot of business travelers, internet should be free. Also, how about a coffee bar in the lobby.”

• Very attractive atmosphere, clean, classy
• Located right next to a hospital - sirens occasionally during the night.

“This hotel was lovely, comfortable and upscale. We would stay here again. Really the only "down" side is the fact that it's next to a very busy hospital and sirens can be heard during the night. We came without a car (via Amtrak) and purchased 3-day passes for the CTA. It was very easy to hop on buses or use the El or subway - driving hassles or parking expenses!”

• Concierge was helpful. Hotel was convenient.
• AC was controlled by the front desk and was rationed.

“Overall this facility was convenient, clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. However we had a problem with our the AC in our room. Evidently the electronic thermostat can be controlled from the front desk and was changed by them on more than one occasion for unexplained reasons. Once confronted on this issue they said we would be placed on VIP status for air conditioning. Very odd.”

“Hotel was hard to find on the Magnificent Mile, we all walked until we couldn't anymore! Overall the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a two double bed room, it was spacious and the beds were very comfortable.”

“Location, location, and location. It is located in N. Michigan where great shops and restaurants are near by. Hotel charges $44 on parking so I parked near public parking for $25.”

• The noise!

“It was nice and clean but the noise was too much, they had construction going on or something but it was too much I kept waking up every hour and I told the front desk lady and she was nice and apologized but I don't think anything was done to correct the problem.”

“Hotel was nice. Beds were comfortable. Staff told us about nearby parking garages that saved our money. Hotel food was overpriced. Location was close to shopping, restaurants and walking distance to Navy Pier. Hotel was across the street from a hospital, so ambulance sirens could be hear frequently.”

• The staff was very helpful and friendly from the concierge to the cleaning staff. All seemed to enjoy their jobs.
• The astronomical price of parking.

“The rooms are very nicely decorated. The hotel staff is very helpful. Any assistance we needed from directions to maps to getting our charger out of our car was given to us in a timely manner. Even with the $44 parking charge I would like to stay at this hotel in the future.”

• The room was not very clean and he heard sirens all night.

“The location was very good for shopping and eating. Sleeping was tough due to the hospital being across the street. The room was dirty (stains on the carpet etc.). Had a high rating but not worth the money.”

• The pool and locker room area was very small and had little privacy.

“This hotel was a great last-minute find! The bathrooms were large and clean. The beds were fantastic and the entire staff was beyond helpful! They were an upscale hotel without being stuffy. The only negative was that the pool was very small and the locker room area was also small and had did not match the upscale feel of the rest of the hotel.”

• A charge for internet access. Are you kidding? Horrible.

“Everything was great - very new hotel with nice guest rooms & friendly staff. I was very disappointed that we were charged for internet access at a hotel this nice. I've stayed at 2 & 3 star hotels that offer free WiFi. This was a big negative as I felt nickeled & dimed to death. Parking fees are outrageous, but that's downtown Chicago.”

• All the staff was friendly; hotel was clean; good location.
• The pool was too small therefore not family friendly.

“The hotel staff and lobby are first class. The room was smaller than expected but nice never the less. The TV reception was poor on some major stations (ESPN for example) and the pool was too small to accommodate the guests. Overall the experience was a good one.”

• The pool was too small and so was the workout room!

“We had good service the valet was wonderful! The staff was friendly. The downside that I had that I was anticipating a big pool! When I saw the pool, I thought to myself that I have seen inflatable pools bigger than this! The pool was pathetic to say the least! Other than the pool, and the workout room everything was great!”

“It was perfect in every way, exactly what I was hoping for, will stay there from now on when I go to Downtown Chicago. My husband and I are both allergic to feather pillows which are what they had and we called down for new pillows and a couple more ash trays. No problem they sent someone from housekeeping up within thirty minutes.”

“It was friendly, convenient, and in a good location. The check-in and elevators were on the second floor and in small spaces. Getting out of the building was more difficult than normal - off one elevator and then on another or down stairs - small hallways in that area also.”

• I went to visit my kids who reside in Chicago; and invited them to spend time with me there.
• I cannot think of anything to say here.

“Perfect location; stunning lobby; great dining room offering delectable foods and outrageously fresh fruits; cozy and welcoming lounge for both family and couples, offering the best iced-tea anywhere; accommodating rooms with beds that offer dreamland sleep; and staff members who are quite friendly and appear to take great pride in their jobs. “Overall the hotel was great. Checking in was not a pleasant experience, the room we confirmed was "no longer available" and the woman at the counter was rude. Other than her the staff was very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay in Chicago.”

“I do not recommend this hotel for an anniversary getaway. There are a lot of nicer hotels that are cheaper near this one. Rooms are small, no views, rude staff and I can go on.”
