• The Location was great.
• We stayed on 6th floor and could hear ambulance outside.

“The location of this Hotel is excellent for Downtown shopping and visiting many of the restaurants. The room was clean, very nice bed, TV etc. I would give it an overall excellent rating with the exception of ambulance noise that can be heard on the lower floors.”

• Was able to check 2hrs early, smoke free hotel, walking distance to bars and restaurants.
• Not much of a skyline view from our room.

“Hotel and staff were pleasant, especially valet parking and bellhop. There was a mix up on our rooms (we requested adjoining) but was fixed by the evening of the first day. Hotel restaurant was very good and family friendly.”

• The king size bed, oversized desk and flat panel television was amazing.

“The front desk staff was very friendly. The king-sized bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The television, over-sized desk, and sofa bed made the toom great for relaxing, working or entertaining.”

• The maid service was top notch, the location fantastic.
• Water pressure was too low in the bathroom.

“This hotel was in a great location, high-quality staff, clean rooms, nice facilities. The only problem was the shower, which suffered from low water pressure. The room had a great view of Chicago, close to the Red Line on the El, overall good experience.”

• Spacious room with a very comfortable bed and nice shower.
• The only breakfast option was rather high-priced.

“My husband and I just spent 3 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. It's quite conveniently located for sight-seeing & dining in Chicago, and the room itself was very nice. Rooms are clean and spacious with plenty of space for unpacking. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. Also, the hotel was very quiet, and the staff we dealt with were helpful & courteous. Highly recommended!”

• Clean room, good location.
• It's near some bars, which at wee hours produced some noisy drunks.

“Nice hotel. My two complaints regarding things that affected my sleep. 1. The hotel is across from a couple of busy bars and there were loud people exiting the bars at wee hours. 2. The bed had a sheet and then a heavy comforter. It was too cold for just he sheet and not cold enough for the heavy comforter. Wish there was a thinner blanket. I ended up just cranking up the AC and using the comforter, which is not the greenest thing to do.”

“The hotel is centrally located close to the heart of Chicago. Much to do in the area. There is always someone around and everyone is very friendly and helpful with directions! Its a must stay in Chicago!”

• Clean, accessible to Magnificent Mile and Trolleys.
• Bedding and Pillows so soft we all had backaches.

“The hotel is well maintained inside and out. On the down side, even though we were a group of four, each day we were given 3 towels and had to call for a 4th. Everything was clean and high quality. We all came home with back and neck aches.”

• Nice pole and fitness center, good location, clean and friendly staff.
• No double bed vas available. Not able to see out on the city on 15th floor blocked by other tall buildings.

“Good location, quality hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, had to ask for to change towels in bathroom and will leave old towels with new ones. Ask for double room got king. Stay on 15th floor but I was over looking other tall buildings. Pool area with lap swimming, whirlpool, sauna, fitness center, outdoor for sun tanning is clean and big. Valet parking a bit pricy ($45.00/per day, in and out privilege). Overall, very satisfied, I would return again.”

• Tastefully appointed, superb soft beds, ideal tourist location and extremely helpful staff.
• Cost of convenience store items in hotel was excessive. $5 for a creme soda.

“Marriott Courtyard was a superb choice for my family and me. Great location for the tourist-right in the middle of the action. Just a couple of short blocks to the Magnificent Mile. Super clean and modern room. Very comfortable and luxurious. This is the best 2.5 rated hotel I've ever stayed in. Pool and spa were fabulous, and the deck outside was so nice and relaxing at night. A great choice for anyone.”

• The restaurant was way too expensive. Not the best of service in there.

“Clean hotel, friendly staff, and great location for North Michigan Ave shopping. Close to bus and train lines. Nice fitness center with pool, spa and sauna that is available to all guests at no extra charge. The room we had, and the lobby, was rather cramped, but not too bad.”

• Excellent location, very helpful staff, rooms were above standard.
• Bartender at the lounge never seemed to be around.

“I would stay at this hotel again. Of course price was wonderful for a downtown Chicago hotel, but we were in a great location, rooms were clean and comfortable. One of our rooms was for our son who lives in Arizona and the staff was nice enough to get the rooms next to each other. I believe the Courtyard should be at least a 3-star hotel.”

• Perfectly clean and well maintained. Dining nearby. Business center with 2 computers. Train stops an easy walk.
• Noise, from the room cooling system and from the street (including the nearby fire station) disrupted sleep many times.

“This was a great convenient location, attractive large room with sofa, nearby shopping and train access. The beds are comfortable; the blinds on the window truly blocked the street lights (a rarity). The coffeemaker in room had real cream ad 2 kinds of tea! My only real complaint was from noisy heating/cooling unit as it cycled on & off, and street noise (even on the 12th floor) which disrupted sleep enough to downgrade my room comfort rating.”

• It wasn't a hotel it was a construction site.

• Very nice & clean with a friendly staff, the restaurant not so friendly.
• $41.00 per day parking! There's a parking garage less than a 1/4 mile and its $12.00 a day. That's what we used.

“It's a very nice hotel, I think it should be rated more than 2 1/2 stars. I would love to stay there again! The staff is so nice and friendly, not to mention helpful. The location was perfect for what we wanted and the hotel over all was very, very clean, which to me & my family is the most important.”

• The overall appeal of the room felt more casual than like a hotel.
• I did not like the fact that the windows in the room did not open.

“The Marriot Residence Inn on Hubbard St. made for a wonderful stay in Chicago; not too luxurious and not too frugal at all. It was just right, or rather, it was very special. Proximity to downtown and public transportation made my stay in Chicago also very easy.”
