• I did not get cell phone reception in my room.

“Fine for the budget conscience business traveler. I requested a roll away bed as the hotel only had 1 bed per room in all rooms. They moved us to a slightly large room to accommodate a roll-away bed, then I waited an hour called to see where the extra bed was, waited another 30 minutes, 90 minutes total sitting in the tiny room with a tiny 10 inch (I think) TV in a corner, waiting for the roll away bed. I finally went downstairs and waited in line again only to be told that there were no more roll away beds. It took another reminder just to get an extra pillow and 1 blanket (I asked for 2-3 but was only allowed 1) so my daughter could sleep on the dingy floor. The hotel staff apologized saying they were just too busy, yet refused to let me check out and leave. More like 2 stars.”

• Customer service counter was very nice and helpful.
• Multiple times, it took over 20 minutes to bring up towels/bed sheets to our room.

“Clean hotel. Small rooms, but great location. Front desk was friendly, but the service was extremely bad/slow. On two occasions, I asked for room service (extra towels, extra bed sheets). Both times, nobody had stopped by after 20-30 minutes so I had to call the front desk again. Amazing how bad service can possibly ruin an image of a hotel. Not recommended for family's at all.”

• The room was clean and cozy. The receptionists were helpful or at least tried!
• The hallways and common areas were dirty and not well kept. All of the computers in the reception area were not working.

“Nice enough. The room was nice, tight and clean. The amenities were few. The front desk folks offered assistance in finding restaurants. The halls were dirty and very narrow. The slamming doors tilt all hours kept us from sleeping soundly. Housekeeping did a good job. Second time we have stayed same story each time.”

• I liked the security elevators. You had to have a room key in order to operate.
• The twin beds. The mattress was too soft and I could not get comfortable.

“The downside is that when you request two beds, you get twin size, instead of double due to the small size of the room. However, I love the location. It is easy to access via public transportation and is not far from State Street shopping and Grant Park. And they have complimentary services that I think business travelers would appreciate.”

“This hotel is located close to the Federal Building and the Chicago Stock Exchange. It would be ideal for a lower level business traveler looking to save time commuting to these areas, but I would not recommend this hotel for families or vacationers. The hotel has few amenities geared towards families, and to get to the tourist attractions of Chicago, you must drive, catch a cab, a bus, or the Subway to get to your destination, unless the weather is perfect, like we had.”

• This is not a hotel for families. Rooms are too small and single beds!

“There is no pool, there is barely a lobby, the rooms are nice but small. We had kids sleeping on comforters and towels on the floor. The hotel is located in the loop of Chicago with no view other than a dark ally. If you are traveling for business, I could imagine this hotel being convenient and a decent set up for a single traveler. But if you are with family you have been warned!”

• The shower head in the restroom was the only good thing.
• The hotel staff was awful. They didn't care and seemed incompetent.

“The hotel staff was awful. They pretty much blew off the guests in the lobby. I and several other guests had to go get our own luggage that the hotel was holding for us after waits of more than 30 minutes!”

“I have stayed at the Adams Club Quarters twice now, each time the stay has been wonderful. They are currently undergoing construction, but neither stay was effected by this. They are amazingly located, especially for those coming in by train--5 minute walk from Union Station. Both rooms have been very clean, the staff has been helpful and there is public transportation all around. This is becoming a Chicago tradition, along with ordering from Bella Bacon's, which the hotel introduced me to. Note: the room service from there is worth it!”

“I had asked for a double and we had twin beds. I have not slept in a twin, well since I can remember. We were not in the room a whole lot but it was very clean, staff was great. And you could walk around bare foot in the room and your feet were not nasty. I will stay again.”

• I liked the room, it was good and comfortable.
• Other than the renovations, the king size bed was actually two single beds pushed together. It was uncomfortable if you're a sleeper that rolls around.

“The location was great, a large lounge with internet and television was a nice surprise. But I did not enjoy the lack of basic amenities.-No ice bucket and no iron. Our hotel room did not block any inside noise.”

“The Club Quarters Chicago Central Loop has an amazing location in the heart of the City. You're a quick cab ride or walk from some of Chicago's best museums, theaters, and restaurants which is a good thing because you won't want to spend a significant amount of time in the no-frills, cramped quarters of your room. Equipped with just the basics, some of which you need to borrow from a supply closet down the hall, it is best suited for a business traveler. It is however clean and again, in the perfect location. Make sure to visit the hotel pub, The Elephant and Castle, for a taste of the Isles. British pub fare like bangers and mash, lamb curry stew, fish and chips and shepherd's pie is tasty and reasonably priced. Best of all, their selection of beers and scotches could satisfy even the most particular anglophile. Cheers!”

• Small rooms; failed service (slow response to luggage and requests); renovating mess; room alarm not functional; out of water bottles.

“Disappointing. Overpriced. Lacking in basic amenities. Staff not attentive to details. Had to make multiple calls to receive luggage from early arrival storage. Requested iron & board - never received before leaving for the evening - canceled request at desk - iron in room upon late night return. That experience sums up the stay!”

“I was not satisfied with my stay at this hotel. The rooms are smaller than any hotel I have ever stayed in. Limited bathroom space. The hotel was under a major renovation. We were never told that the hotel could validate our parking garage ticket to save us $10.00 per day. They only change the sheets and towels after two days of staying there.”

• The cleanliness and construction. I wouldn't have stayed had I known they were doing construction.

“When we arrived to the hotel, we noticed it was a great location. However, once we entered, there was construction going on. I was really bummed about the condition the hotel was in and the price that we payed. I was expecting a little more. I have bad allergies so with the exposed walls and ducts work; I had a hard time sleeping (there was nothing exposed in our room, the room was in normal condition). I can say that we had a nice view and like I said the location was nice.”

“The room reminded us of a dormitory room for the business traveler. Small, tidy room with very little space to stretch and let your suitcase hang out. My husband & I stayed here and our standard king room was very cramped for two. The front desk had a small stand for local attractions, but overall the hotel was lacking for the leisure traveler.”

• Layout of the room felt small around the bathroom/closet.

“This hotel met my expectations and then some. The location was fantastic and the staff was very professional, yet very friendly at the same time. The room was very clean and the bed was more comfortable than Ive come to expect from non-luxury hotels.”

• Room is a bit small. We got wake up 4 of the six mornings by the noises of the heating pipe at 5 am!
