  • The hotel staff was very helpful. Also, the location was close to soldier field.
  • There were no shades on the window and there was a very bright light outside. Hard to sleep.

  • They had a room open.

“This was by far the worst hotel, accommodations and locality. The staff at the desk acted like I was bothering them to check in, never smiled, and only mentioned that this was a long day. I did not feel really safe once outside the hotel and the distance to downtown was a good hike.”

  • Staff was awesome and location was great.
  • Lots of street noise and older.

“Went to Chicago for an overnight stay so my 11 year old could go to American Girl Place. Hotel was convenient to Union Station and we got on the bus across from Sears tower, which we liked. On the way back, we got off the blue line only a block from the hotel. The location was perfect. Room was comfortable and clean. Had a great time.”

  • My granddaughter really enjoyed the swimming pool on top of the hotel.
  • Nothing really.

  • The only thing that was nice about the hotel is the staff.
  • The location was horrible; there was nothing in walking distance to eat or site see.

“The staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. Besides the hospitality the hotel location was horrible. It was right off the highway, which was easy to find. But there was nothing close to walk to eat or sight sees to enjoy the downtown area. Also the wall paper was peeling in our room and the bathroom did not have a fan. The also did not work and the clock radio was very small.”

  • So noisy we couldn't sleep.

“It was almost on top of 2 very busy interstates and had poor to none at all sound insulation either from outside or between rooms. Small room with few amenities. On top of traffic noise, we were next to the hotel's maids hangout and had significant foul language till midnight and beginning at 5 a.m. What good is a motel room if you can't sleep! ”

“The hotel staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I stayed in an odd numbered room and had an extreme amount of traffic noise from the "l" and highway. Highly recommend you get an even numbered room. The restaurant is a pizza chain with a limited and very "heavy" menu.”

  • It was steps from the blue line.
  • The walls are paper thin. The area is unsafe at night. It was ugly and uncomfortable.

“I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. With a 3 star, I expect a certain level of cleanliness, comfort and overall safety. Instead, I got paper thin walls, a room that was filled with the stench of cigarettes (even though I requested a non-smoking room), the food was awful at the restaurant and I feared for my daughter's safety in the evening when we were outside. I would never stay there again and Iżm having serious difficulty wanting to take a gamble again. I cannot trust its star ratings anymore.”

  • The staff was rude: they added $30.00 valet charges to your bill even if you did not use valet. No assistance with luggage arriving or departing.

“The hotel was hidden, they forced you to pay a $30.00 valet charge if you were a guest there regardless if you used the parking or not. You had to get a cart and move your luggage. We had to change rooms due to a hotel error, I had to leave my sister in the room while the changed keys, because after they changed the key would no longer work. Go get a cart, come back to the room move my luggage from 3rd floor or 5th floor, take the cart back.”

  • Staff were very nice and helpful.
  • No vending machines worked throughout my 4 days, rooms don't have much soundproofing.

“Clean, staff very pleasant and some nice aspects but some aspects of hotel still quite dated and used, location seems a little isolated (no markets or non-hotel run restaurants nearby), and I didn't feel I received a particularly good deal for the money I paid. Others in my group had MUCH nicer rooms, more centrally located, for less money.”

  • The staff was wonderful.
  • The 'restaurant' was a brand name Pizza parlor. No place to have breakfast although room service was offered.

“The location was ok, near bus lines, these were difficult to get to. Had to use a smelly, creepy highway underpass to reach Canal St and Union Station. Needed two small room repairs which were handled quickly and efficiently. Had the feeling the hotel was being spruced up to be sold.”

“The room was clean but there were ants on the tables. We had to have them sprayed 2 days in a row. The bathroom smelled like a seer. There was a drunk in the hallway on Friday night. The food on the buffet was cold and tasteless. There was also one occasion of a lady with a questionable "appearance" (mini skirt and fish net stockings) standing in front of the entrance on Friday night also. Definitely, not a family place.”

  • The bell man Dustin did a great job.
  • The food service lacked variety..$30.00 /night for parking.

“You get what you pay for. Think about it. This hotel was in a good location for the attractions that we wanted to see. The normal price is about 188.00 per night and still charges 30.00 per night for parking. We took a cab everyplace A short walk away is Greek Town, go to the spot called Greek Island, Very Good!”

  • All of the soda machines were empty Sunday morning.

  • It's near the Clinton stop on the Blue line train, and Greek town.
  • It literally stank. The 'amenities' were vastly inadequate.

“Nestled in the armpit of a freeway and with a comfortable view of a parking lot, this hotel smelled bad, looked bad, and felt bad. The best I can say is that there were no actual vermin I could see, and the wireless Internet worked well in my room. The business center is a Dell PC in the crowded lobby. There's no laundry service on weekends and no breakfast. But it's within a block of the Clinton station, so you can get back into town easily enough, and it's within walking distance of Greek town, which is nice. As it is, I overpaid by a huge margin. ”

  • Staff did what they could to try to rectify room problems.
  • Thin walls, leaky ceiling and related mess, no shuttle, pool closed.

“Our room had a few maintenance issues. Additionally, the neighbors who got in at 4:45am had a conversation in which we could hear every word. The breakfast in the restaurant was good. The staff was understanding of our issues and tried to make things right. The hotel is convenient to the train station and downtown, but I think the 2.5 star rating is at least 1 too many stars.”

  • Parking was pretty high, but it is everywhere in Chicago.

  • It was close to nearby attractions and restaurants in downtown Chicago.
  • Parking was horrendous! They basically had a few spaces in the front of the hotel and then this terrible unsafe lot that they charge $30/day.

“We had problems with the first room, apparently someone did some repairs in the room and never cleaned up afterwards. However, the staff went out of the way to make up for this which we greatly appreciated. It seems to attract people who like to party a lot in their room, and I think the hotel needs to be more cognizant of making sure that other guests are not disturbed by some people.”

  • The temperature was comfortable.
  • I do not like a smoking room, or paying $60 for valet that I do not use.

“Overall, I was disappointed with this hotel. They threw us into a smoking handicapped room, that was uncomfortable, and messed up with my asthma. The staff was nice enough, but I did not feel they went out of their way by any means to address my concerns or feelings. I also hated paying for the valet service, that was, $30.00 per night, and we did not even use the in/out option because it was so inconvenient.”

  • It was close to Rush Medical Hospital.
  • I had a handicap rm. with king bed. There was no room for anything else. It was very hard to get around in the room. Parking was too much.
