• One employee was very nice but I do not remember her name!
• Nothing worked. TV, ice machine etc. And the room was cleanliness was revolting!

“The hotel was filthy! You could not even take off your shoes in the room because of the floor! Nothing worked! I brought food banking on the refrigerator and that was not the case! The over all experience was more than disappointing!”

• The location.
• Shower broke, floor turned feet black, not enough chairs in dining area, out of food.

“I as not pleased t all with this place. We had to keep socks or shoes on the whole time because the floor turned our feet black, the breakfast room was not prepared for many people. We couldn't sit at a table because there werent enough chairs. The shower in the room was also broke and the ice machine was still broke from who knows when. It was just a place to sleep.”

• Spacious rooms.
• TV reception was very fuzzy.

“Hotel was very convenient to flow with the exit and entrance traffic. The hotel was very close to the Wharf. The hotel also had last minute rooms available for a national holiday.”

• Location was good for the price.
• No hot water and water would turn brownish orange.

“Hotel staff was not friendly. Continental breakfast was ok, but goes early because they do not restock. No hot water and when water turned brownish orange, they would not refund money. Could not use water to shower or brush teeth. Was not as clean as would have liked and cell phone reception was horrible inside rooms.”

• I enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the personnel.
• The ice machine was broken and we had to reactivate our key every night.

“I recommend this hotel to anyone. It isn't too close to the hustle of the beach and it is quiet. The continental breakfast was fresh and inviting.”

• The price was great for the location to the gulf.
• The cleanliness left something to be desired.

“The price on the date of stay was great. Regardless of price, I still expect a clean, comfortable room. The beds weren't very comfortable, and sand began to find its way into the bed as the night went on. I don't know if the pillows had it in them, or the mattress had some residual from the previous occupant, but it was not acceptable. The overall stay was okay. Especially for the price. Don't look for this place to knock your socks off, but it is a good stay for the low price. Don't overspend for this one!”

• I had a terrible experience with the hotel.
• The hotel staff was uncooperative and unhelpful.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The manager refused to give me her name. The staff was unfriendly. The rooms were not acceptable.”

• The location was not bad with location of the beach.
• Falling apart, no refrigerator or microwave, no ice.

“The manager came around to each room to see where each guest was located to update their files because the fire Marshall was coming around. Also, the maids would come around before check out time and wake us up. The paint was peeling off the walls. While I was getting out of the bath tub the tub hand rail fell off.”

“This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my life! We got a room with a king size bed and when we went to pull back the sheets it had more sand in the bed than there was on the beach! It was horrible!”

• No refrigerator; first comfort inn w/o one.

“The front checks in ladies were friendly and personable; the location was good. Comfort inns usually have refrigerators & microwaves but this room did not.”

• Lethargic and lackadaisical staff. Room service almost non existent, scant "continental breakfast" coffee not replaced, urn not washed.

“No previous experience with comfort inn and en roué driving south I stopped at a comfort inn in Greenville, Alabama. Lovely setting, spacious room with amenities. Staff rated superb. Well furnished breakfast bar, clean, quiet and I expected much of same upon arrival at gulf shores and found anything but. It appears to have become a dive for Latino immigrants, apparent five to six per room. I have no problem with Latinos or immigrants and yet wondered in this case if hotel management is participating in fostering illegal immigrants. First am, no juice in dispenser. Clerk at desk, "well, I guess we're all out." ”

• Central location, very nice staff.
• Shower drain was slow.

“The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous on arrival as well as throughout my stay. The room was very clean and neat. The only complaint I had was that the shower drain was slow. I told the staff at the start of my second day, but it still wasn't fixed that evening. We left the following day, so not sure if they fixed it or not. The only other mild concern was that the knobs on the heat and air unit were making shift with no markings. The original knobs had obviously come off and were lost. Over all I was pleased with my stay and price and star rating seemed fair. I would stay at this hotel again.”

• Our air conditioner was broken and leaked all over the floor. The staff did nothing to fix this problem, stating "there's nothing we can do about that.

“The room had a foul odor. Smelled of cat urine. Possible due to the wet floor from the leaking air conditioner. The free continental breakfast was pitiful. Staff was rude and not helpful. Check-in time was different than what was listed on the website. Half of the light bulbs were out. If there were any other rooms available in town, we would have left. It was horrible.”

• There was no ice in the dispensers the entire time we were at the hotel.

“This was a nice hotel. we didn't know what to expect & we were pleasantly surprised the only problem we had was no ice in the ice machines.”

• The location was great - close to the beach and shops.
• There was no ironing board, the TV remote did not work.

“The hotel location was wonderful, however the room left lots to be desired. For 90 dollars per night, there was an iron but no ironing board, the towel rack was pulled off the wall and laying on the floor, the bathroom floor was slippery with a film of stuff, and the remote control for the TV did not work, even after replacing the batteries. I also had to get a new room key 3 different times, they repeatedly would not work in the door. The hotel staff, however, was very friendly.”

• The Staff was nice and the room had a big walk-in closet.
• Kids at the pool cursing. Not the hotels fault though.

“This place is convenient to the coast and attractions. Much cheaper than staying on the beach and lots to do in the area. A new amusement park will open soon nearby and it will be great!!! The staff here are very nice from my experience.”

• The staff was very prompt in getting me a room at their sister hotel La Quinta.
• There was no menus of local restaurants.

“Loved the indoor pool, but wished the staff would have told me about it on checking in instead of having to stumble across it. Other than that I loved it”

• All rooms did not have a water filter. The first room assigned to me did not have a telephone and the toilet was clogged.

“It was clean. I would stay there again.”
