• I liked it come with kitchen and refrigerator.
• Some stuff like mums, bowls very dirty.

• It had a refrigerator & a good shower head.
• Plastic reflector on heater/AC was broken with sharp point.

“This was not a pleasant hotel to stay at. The bed seemed old and hard. Very outdated. We were very happy when it was time to leave this place.”

• The kitchenette was nice.
• No service! The staff was rude showing little to no concern.

“I will not recommend this hotel chain. Granted they give long term rooms with a kitchen, but the rest of the hotel is very poor. The elevator ran poorly. A group of business travelers from overseas was told in front of me their rooms were not ready. The group leader said they were told earlier all was set. The hallways were confusing, and the decor made you feel queasy. The room was furnished okay. The bed was too firm even for me. The pillows were non-existent, and when we asked for additional pillows were told to come and get them ourselves. It does not cost much, but they skipped the free complimentary soaps and shampoos. The place was regrettable. I will not stay there again.”

• The location was convenient and safe.
• We had to pay extra for another bed in the room, there was trash underneath the beds upon arrival, no extras in this hotel.

“This hotel was in a nice area and convenient to get to from the Interstate. We were sightseeing in Chicago, so this hotel was close enough to action. Staff was not too friendly (as we found out when we tried to understand the $10 charges.), and there was trash under our beds upon arrival. The hotel was quiet and 20 mins from the city. It does not include a breakfast, pool, etc.”

“This hotel is ideally located (next to an upscale Hampton Inn). Old Orchard shopping center is less than a mile away. I enjoyed the fact there wasn't much street noise and it was definitely worth the price.”

• Dirty, smelly and flies inside the room.

“Disappointing place. I've been in more than 10 different hotels in the last 4 months, including 2 stars, 2 1/2, 3 and 4 stars. And this is the worst hotel, from the smell of the room to the cleanness of the mattress, to the windows can not be closed tight which led to have flies inside the room. No shampoo in the bathroom. The front desk staff was nice but they look unhappy. All those items are facts.”

• The hotel rooms were all updated recently. Hotel gave a nice appearance.
• Apparently, this type of hotel does not make up the room every day. Had to make our own beds and get our own new towels.

“This was a very average no frills hotel. The rooms were recently updated which was good. However, there was no maid service unless an additional fee was paid. Therefore, the beds were not made up daily and if you needed new towels you had to go to bring the used ones to the lobby yourself for replacements. The rooms had a kitchen which was nice but we were only there 3 days so we didn't benefit from it. There were also pay washers and dryers in the vending machine room. Very nice if you are staying there for a long time. The place was reasonably clean and was good for our needs. One slight issue with this hotel is that it is very difficult to get a room with 2 double beds.”

• This hotel was centrally located near restaurants, shopping and Northwestern University.

“The Extended Stay America in Skokie, IL was very well situated off I-94. The hotel is right off the highway and nearby and the upscale Westfield Mall and within short driving distance to Northwestern University and many nice eating establishments. The hotel rooms were updated and clean, and it was nice that rooms had refrigerators, microwave ovens, sinks, silverware and dinnerware and even a cook top range. The only things that are missing were free wireless internet, a pool, fitness center (although free membership is available to a nearby Bally's Total Fitness Club during length of stay). There is ample parking and easy access from the interstate. The hotel staff was polite and professional and made our stay pleasant too.”

• It was filthy with bugs in the lobby and in very bad neighborhood.

• Clean, quiet and most of all. The suit was like my home.
• Front desk staff was not nice.

“It located in Evanston, safe, clean and quiet. I like this hotel. Easy to access to shopping centers and even highway. Most of all, it has refrigerator, microwave, toaster, oven and sink! It is so family oriented hotel! However, front desk staff wasn't nice. Might she had bad mood to work that day or she doesn't like that job.”

“Spartan, plain and quite boring, but functional, maids do NOT clean the rooms except once a week, as this is an 'extended stay' property, room keys were outdated and somewhat insecure in feeling.”

• The floors in the kitchen area and in to the bathroom were filthy!

“The vending and laundry facilities were suitable. Big enough. The desk staff were polite and helpful. Location - good. No restaurant on premises. The floors in the room, wood and carpet were filthy. My son crawls and his socks and knees were black after 1 hour. The set up of the room was nice and good for business travelers but it did provide a quiet place for us to stay overnight.”

• No pool and nothing to do.

“The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, but if you don't have a car then you can't really get out to do that much. We walked forever to get to a grocery store just to get simple things to keep in the fridge. It is a wonderful hotel, but just make sure that you drive, or bring your walking shoes.”

“Moderate 2 star hotel close to Old Orchard shopping center and Eden's expressway. It has adjoining parking lots with another hotel which has an on-site restaurant in the building. Helpful staff good with directions to local resources (stores, etc). Kitchen facilities in room. No shampoo in room.”

• It offered good accommodations with spacious living quarters.
• It seemed to be rented out as a dorm for college students. The youth were polite, but lot some of the time and the doors had what appeared to be school.

“The hotel was well groomed on the outside, but had little lounge area inside. It was next to a much fancier hotel with more amenities. This made the lack of amenities much more apparent. However they staff was very cordial and helpful. The rooms were good size and well maintained. The location to the freeway was excellent. The halls were a bit musty.”

“I arrived at 4p.m and had to wait for 10 minutes for the receptionist who was in the back room taking a nap. When I made a remark of my wait, she made an attitude. Then I was directed to a smoker room, even though I specified non-smoking room.”

• Nice convenient hotel, quick and late night check in, Friendly staff. Definitely recommend to stay.

“Nice location, big parking lot. 15 mins drive to Howard Red line Park and Ride. Very close to yellow line but due to the time restrictions of yellow line we parked at red line. I would recommend this for those who are on business or with family. Nice kitchen to make quick breakfast early morning.”

• The studio apartment style.
• Bottom sheet kept coming off the bed.

“This hotel was perfect for what we were looking for and was in a safe area. Having the refrigerator was a great benefit, we even ate in our room 1 night. The bed was very comfortable - we usually have trouble sleeping in hotel room beds.”

• Spacious clothes hanging area but no hangers! Not enough pillows.

“Check-in and check-out were easy; hotel was in nice shape and very clean. Accommodations were not plush but that was not expected. Our room was directly across from some students so it was a little noisy but not disruptive. For the king size bed to only have two small pillows, it wasn't enough to sit up and comfortably watch the TV.”

• I liked the kitchenette and the free parking.
• 11 am check-out and the lack of toiletries (shampoo/soap) and no breakfast-not even a bagel or muffin!

“This was actually a very nice hotel. The free parking is a wonderful asset! I wish they offered a breakfast of some sort, but I'll take the free parking instead. The staff, from the desk clerk all the way to the property manager, was very helpful, friendly and attentive. They even assisted me with securing the room for additional nights. The room was clean and quiet. The area outside the hotel felt safe. The proximity to restaurants, shopping and the Windy City was very helpful-especially with the price of gas being over $4.00/gal in the Chicago area. Overall, this hotel met and exceeded my expectations and I would have no calm staying there again or recommending it to my friends/family.”

• Kitchen facility.
• The room has smoking smell even when we requested a nonsmoking room.

“This hotel has good location and security system. The simple kitchen facility is a plus for travelers. But, there is no hair dryer and shampoo in the room and the refrigerator makes a loud noise constantly. The room is smelly.”
