• Recent remodeled rooms in the 4 story side.
• Extremely noisy heater unit. Cheap bedding.

“The motel was remodelled since we last visited 3 years ago. Some improvements. Previous 2.5 stars and current 3 stars are both overrated.”

• Pet friendly.

“Friendly, nice, little unorganized - had to call 2 times for a crib. No cover-up sheet or blanket for the crib that finally got there after 8. (Had our granddaughter) Pop machine and ice on every floor - I think.”

• The hotel was clean, attractive and conveniently located.
• One of the hotel entrances forced us to walk through a lobby display area for a group program.

“This hotel is in the style of the former Holiday Inn Holidomes. The rooms overlooked a central area with a pool and hot tub. The early evening was noisy with swimmers; but, later it was very quiet. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. The room was impeccably clean with very new linens.”

• The restaurant had great rates. The kids eat free was great.
• We did not like that there was a $3 minimum charge to use the Bus Center. We had trouble with the Internet in the room.

“Location was good. It was close to other restaurants and not far from Chicago. The pool closed at 9pm which seemed too early especially when you are out most of the day exploring the city, you have to rush. There are 2 older buildings on site but when asked to be moved to the newer section, we had no problem.”

• The staff was nice. They have a nightmare of a hotel to sell.
• Horrible renovations, no ventilation, unfinished all around.

“Do not stay at this hotel. We travel 70% of the year and this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I never write a review, but I feel the need to do it this time. We got there and were given a room that was already occupied. Staff tried to be helpful and gave us a second room with carpet rolls near the door ready to be trashed, but still inside the hotel. First night the fire alarm went off at 1 am. Second night, new room carpet soggy from a leaking air conditioner. Staff said it would be fixed the next day, the maintenance guy vacuumed up the water! Next night, same problem. No ventilation, windows did not open, so air began to get moldy. Door to the room was buckled and would not lock, and this was the part of the hotel that was newly renovated! We heard such horror stories from other guests we decided to stay with this room and try and work it out. Third night, we asked for help with the soggy carpet and while we were waiting for maintenance, another guest came to tell us that we were in their room! Then another fire alarm went off at midnight this time. Out of four nights there, we spent two outside the front of the hotel while the firemen went inside to deal with the problem. Finally, as we were checking out, the fellow at the front desk asked us if we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. I just laughed! Stay in your car instead.”

• Very comfortable bed and the bathroom was spacious. Also, the parking was free.

“We plan to go back in a month or two and stay at the same hotel. It was very nice, very clean, and accommodating. The staff was excellent and friendly and helpful.”

• The fan for the air conditioner had an annoying rattle which made it hard to sleep.

“Beds were comfortable. Appreciated having a mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room. Room was clean, though older building.”

• Spacious rooms with ample amenities.
• Inside rooms have large windows that face the pool/rec area.

“The atmosphere and amenities were great. The beds were spacious and each room was furnished with a mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, hair dryer, etc. There was no shampoo or conditioner supplied for our room, but they did have facial and body soaps and containers of minty hand/body lotion. Our room was on the inside of the hotel, which had good and bad points - Good: there was a separate door that led straight from our room into the pool/rec area. Bad: there was a large window from our room into the pool/rec area. There were curtains over it, of course, but it was kind of creepy for some reason. The curtains didn't perfectly filter out the lights from the pool area at night, either. All in all, though, it was a fine experience.”

• The location was great for trips to downtown Chicago.
• The rooms are quite small in Building B.

“The hotel was a very good fit for our needs, the rooms were small, but they filled the needs we had. The pool was great, but closed at 9 (as opposed to the 10pm on the signage), the help was available, and offered their assistance quite often.”

“Quality was poorer than my previous stay at this hotel. Lock on our door was broken and reported twice but never repaired while we were there for three nights. The TV remote did not work. The ceiling in the bathroom above the shower needed repair.”

• Clean rooms close to destination, easy acess, and it was in a good area.
• The elevators were not convenient. Long hallways. No extra blankets.

“We were pleasently surprised with a big lobby and well staffed. The pool area was very nice and wish I had time to enjoy it. There was a convenient store off lobby. Everything one would need.”

• Nice people, convenient location.
• Rooms are a little dated, but clean.

“Cater to Priority Club members, free drink and snacks every evening in bar. Friendly people and restaurant was pretty good. Unique twist: every evening from 10:00 - 2:00 am they feature Indian music and dancers in one of the large meeting rooms.”

“This hotel is located quite well if you need to use the expressway. It is an older hotel that has been renovated and added on. The restaurant is an Indian restaurant and the hotel caters to lots of affairs.”

• The drums echoing from the Sunday morning event next to the restaurant.

“I was looking for an inexpensive but nice place to stay with our 2 children while spending most of our time visiting relatives and friends. This hotel gave us nice beds and a breakfast where the kids ate free, had a pool for a morning dip and was convenient to traveling as the highway was just 3 blocks away.”

• The location is perfect and close to emergency shopping.
• The entrance from the west side was a bit sketchy.

“Hotel is going through renovation. Had to be moved to another room twice due to problems with the rooms. First room was already occupied, second room had very bad condensation/leak in the bathroom. The one thing we asked housekeeping to get an ironing board took over an hour to get and took 2 calls to front desk. Garbage was still in the hall when we got back to our room in the evening.”

• I liked the outer appearance. It was very fancy in the lobby. The gift shop was very convenient and pool was nice. The maids were very friendly.
• The front desk staff was not helpful. It smelled bad and was filthy. We had to move three times.

• The pool area is great. And the hotel seems to be kept up well.
• Seems like there is a lot of construction going on all the time. But I understand this will most likely result in a better look.

“The hotel looks good from the outside. But don't let it fool you. Even though the outside looks good, the room was very bad. It was one of the worst hotel we've ever been to. We couldn't see outside from the room and it was noisy. Some facilities were dirty.”

“We were given a non-smoking room with a king sized bed and a view of the indoor pool. Room itself was very spacious with a refrigerator and microwave which was handy to have. Our room was in a quiet hallway. They still are in a remodelling phase in some areas which will make the hotel even better.”

“Nice hotel. Stayed just one night. Attended a wedding reception in the area and requested a late checkout. The hotel was very accommodating, and extended me a 2:00 PM. Checkout at no extra cost. Location is good for business and travel in the area. Nice indoor swimming pool and spacious whirlpool. I did not eat at the restaurant, but it appeared decent. Spacious open areas in hotel.”

• Not kept clean, unbelievably hot in hallways, could not be to code.

“This hotel was terrible. We stayed in what I am sure was the older section of the hotel. It used to be a motel they enclosed. The hallways were unbearably hot. The air conditioners on the walls actually vented their hot exhaust air into the hallway. It must have been 105 degrees in the hall. Once in the room it was ok. The picture on the TV was of terrible quality. A cigarette butt in the stairwell was there all week, never vacuumed. Even the dry cleaning order slip was full of errors - not typos, outright incredibly poor grammar. Limited to 10 times the fry cleaning charge. As an example. There is no way this is a 2.5 star place. My son and his wife moved out after a couple of nights to another hotel and we just ate the cost of that room.”

• We had a dark room.

“The hotel is very dark so therefore depressing. The rooms are designed with no windows on the outside of the building. On the ground floor you face into the hotel. It's built square so the middle is common space for guests and the rooms face in. Not enough light anywhere. Under Side of our sink unit had carpeting just stuck on the upright. Sorry would not have stayed had we known. Staff was lovely though.”

“Hotel is nice. Staff was friendly although some what disorganized. Skokie is well. It's not that close to Evanston even though I thought it would be based on looking at a map. O'Hare to Skokie cab ride is 150% meter - that's unfortunate, but not the hotel's false.”
