  • Attractive bright decor, friendly staff
  • Halls need more frequent vacuuming; when breakfast items run out, must ask staff at front desk.

“I felt this hotel was an excellent value. The pluses far outweigh the minuses. The decorating theme, "Wake up on the bright side" is very colorful and attractive.”

“We found the room clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. The breakfast included fresh fruit and make-your-own waffles in addition to standard continental breakfast fare. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay.”

  • Everything was clean, people were friendly, breakfast waffles were great!
  • We just stayed at three different hotels. This was better than one and equal to the second.

“The hotel was easy to get to, the room was large, very clean and comfortable. There was fresh fruit, pastries, cereal and waffle batter for breakfast; in a nice large dining area. Check in and out was effortless. It was more expensive than the Candlewood that we stayed at for four nights, but worth the extra cost.”

  • Food was good and the price was good.
  • We left at noon one day and they didn't clean our room or empty our garbage.

“I would recommend this hotel but I was not happy about our room not being cleaned the one day. When I questioned the supervisor she said they leave at 1:30. I've worked in hotels and I have never seen the housekeeping staff leave at 1:30. We left at 12:00 that day. So when we got home at 2:00 am our garbage was piled up we had no clean linens. If their staff is going to leave that early they should let people know, so they can leave the room early.”

“We arrived at the hotel to find the TV did not work. We were in town for a concert so didn't think much of this since we would not be spending much time in the room. We then noticed there was garbage on the floor, including a used q-tip, and the room was not very clean. When we arrived back after our concert, the room was freezing and the heat did not work. After calling the desk to report the TV and heat we were told the hotel was booked up and there was nothing that could be done.”

  • It was very convenient from the freeway and where I wanted to go!
  • The entrance (drive-way) wasn't very clearly marked. Needed a bigger sign!

“For what little traveling I do, this hotel was a perfect choice. It was easy to locate with many stores and restaurants nearby (or within a short drive). The rooms were very well kept and clean. The hotel staff was all nice and friendly. Overall, I look forward to staying there again the next time I am in the area!”

  • Poor service. Breakfast was late, and laundry was unavailable for use.

“The room was very nice, but the lack of service made our time there disappointing. Breakfast was late, and my two attempts to use the laundry facilities were unsuccessful. It was also difficult to find someone to help you when you needed help, and often our key cards would not work on the side doors.”

  • Friendly workers, beds are very comfortable, internet, and a pool and exercise room.
  • Breakfast was not ready by 7:00 a.m.

“We stayed at the La Quinta Inn. It was very nice. The workers were very nice and friendly. They served breakfast, had internet, and a pool! Our stay was short, but I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is in need of a nice comfortable place to stay for a night or two.”

  • The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful.
  • We scheduled a wake-up call at check in and we didn't receive one.

“Overall not a bad 2 star place. Nice people free continental breakfast, and they'll let you check out at 1:00 pm. The rooms were clean but, although we did have a smoking room, they could have done a better job of making the room not smell like an ash tray.”

  • Personnel would not take the alarm out of my room that went off every hour. Door had to be pushed shut to close.

  • Rooms and baths were small, noisy and very smoky.

“Although the location of this hotel was excellent, it was noisy, smoky and the service poor. The television would not work, the iron was broken, the room was very small and it bathroom was one of the smallest I have ever been in. I would not stay there again nor recommend it to anyone traveling for business or pleasure. There are many other options nearby that looked cleaner and "nicer".”

  • It had just been re done very nicely.
  • The cleaning staff was rude and the shower was dirty.

“When we walked in the check in staff greeted us quickly and in a friendly manner. The lobby was very pleasant; they told us about the continental buffet in the morn. All in all it was a very good experience. Rooms were pretty too!”

  • Very nice including the staff.
  • We got a smoking room & it stunk like it.

“Other than the room smelling like smoke (Im a non smoker my hubby is a smoker) it was really nice and I was very impressed with the breakfast they offered. They should spray the rooms with Fabreeze to kill the smoke smell! Oh one other thing not enough big towels for 2 people. I could have asked for more but we were kind of brain dead cause we were there for brother in laws funeral (46 years old!). But would recommend this hotel to everyone!”

  • Staff followed up daily to see if you were happy.
  • Did not have a hot breakfast.

“Overall I was very satisfied with the hotel and the staff. They did everything they could to make your stay pleasant. They would follow up on the cleaning crew and that your room was clean and checks to see if you needed additional towels or anything to make your stay better. Everyone was friendly and helpful.”

  • Gave me smoking room, said reservation didn't guarantee non-smoking, only a room however gave me non-smoking after I complained.

  • It was a construction zone and shouldn't have been open.

“After submission it said that you usually respond within 3 hours but I never heard back. My family and I stayed at the hotel because my husband and son have bad asthma, and our electricity and air conditioning went out. When we arrived at the hotel it was under construction everywhere. The walls were being plastered, the floors were covered with tarps, and there were construction workers and debris in the elevator. There was drywall dust everywhere - it was impossible not to track it into the room. It was like a war zone. The hotel should not have been open to guests during this type of renovation.”

  • Ceilings need work done. bed frame broke the minute we laid down.

“The Hotel seems to be in transition from an old Baymont to a La Quinta. a lot of work needs to be done. When complete, this should be a very nice hotel. we stayed on a different floor last trip and that floor was already near completion and it seemed liked a brand new hotel. I do not know about the rest of the hotel, but the first floor still needs work. All in all, pleasant stay. breakfast staff, very friendly.”

  • I was only provided with one room to sleep with my wife and our 3-year old daughter.

“When we requested if we would have a room with two bed rooms, we were denied that there were no more rooms with two bed rooms. Soon after, we had our friend who just arrived with his kids also, and was offered a room that had two beds. Where did that room come from if there was no other room at the first place?”

  • Friendly staff/good location/cheap price.
  • Broken down mattress/dirty carpeting/tired, tired, and tired.

“This place was not a dump. It had peeling wallpaper, dirty carpets, a broken down bed, and the "discount," was pretty much insignificant. This hotel would have been priced right. There were "guests" with 4 and 5 kids to a room, rooms with big dogs, half-clean bathrooms, filthy windows, awnings encrusted with bird-poop, windows that were ajar (not on the track), this is one-star. Your credibility lessens by keeping this place in your inventory.”

  • The young lady at the desk when we left was the first friendly staff member we encountered.
  • The other guests were noisy and messy, the pool for some reason closed early, our room was not cleaned during our stay.

“This hotel was very poorly managed. The rooms were decent, but the beds were horrible. The laundry room was adjacent to our room which was the cause of a lot of noise. The whole staff, with the exception of only member, was not very competent or friendly. Our room was also not cleaned during our two night stay.”

“It was just ok. Many children running in halls to pool. As stated above, housekeeping wasn't great. Value for the money, but not a "newfound home" when traveling to Chicago. Has potential though. Much better staff and operation than bayonet the former operator was. Several electrical outlets didn't work. Would stay there again, but not a first choice at this point.”

  • It met my usual expectations of a liquate motel,
  • Clearing of snow to facilitate parking could have been better.

“Usual liquate standards. The room was reasonably clean; the motel was fairly clean -- bad carpet stains in the lobby. The "breakfast" was the usual for liquate, but lacked sweet rolls. One day they failed to keep the regular coffee pot full. The failure to get enough of the snow off of the parking lot created some danger (icy) and created a parking problem for me, a senior citizen. An exercise room was available. Also a very nice enclosed swimming pool was available. The pool hours were better than some other motels. It warm and comfortable with freezing temperatures outside, and the pool was kept clean, but there were not many swimmers. The restroom with the room was good, as good as any, more limited than some. The housekeeping in the room was very acceptable. We accidentally broke the "in-room" coffee pot--it was replaced immediately. There was no additional charge for the broken pot even though I offered to pay for it. Overall, the 3-night experience with this motel was equal with a half-a-dozen liquate motels where I have stayed previously. The nice swimming pool gave it a slight edge over the others.”

  • The pop machine gave out 2 pops.
  • I can't say that there was anything that I did like. One of the doors did not close properly. The pool was down.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. My sister left and went to another hotel, so I had to pay for a hotel room that wasn't used. The pool was down the whole time. There was a. on the bedspread. There were also burnt holes in the carpet and they only gave 2 towels of each size which one had the nerve to be dirty. I had never been in a smoking room that smelt that much like smoke. The desk even starts falling apart. I would not stay there again.”

  • Elevator not working, Bo average(need donuts), some staff members not as friendly as others.

  • Good location, right off i80. Room fairly clean.
  • Housekeeping staff very rude to me! They practically kicked me out of my room! If you park behind the building, you have to walk to the front.

“I asked for a later check-out (1pm instead of 12pm) and at around 11:30 a housekeeper was knocking on my door asking me if I was checking out. I told her that I told the front desk that I was checking out later and she gave me a disgusted look and walked away. Then at 12:15 another housekeeper came knocking and had the same attitude. It was very rude! The front desk clerk did not seem to care at all when I mentioned it to her. There is some parking in the front but if it's full, you have to park in the back and walk all the way around the building. Neighborhood is pretty safe though.”

  • The person at the front desk was very professional and friendly.
  • Cleanliness needs to be reviewed and the tub did not work properly and no one seemed to care that it had standing water in it.

  • Can't think of anything outstanding.
  • Smoke from the 3rd floor rooms crept into our 4th floor non-smoking rooms.

“I've stayed here before and been ok, but this is the 3rd time Iżve been in a non-smoking room, and had smoke from the smoking section creep into our space. I'd tolerate it if I didn't have to worry about my baby. Continental breakfast staff was very awkward and inattentive. I had to go into the pantry to re-load syrup, insist on fresh coffee.
