- I liked the outdoor pool/common area. Love the convenience/proximity to the interstate.
- The bed needed a new mattress- it seemed to slump in the middle.
“I've stayed at other hotels in the area several times but never really noticed this particular Marriott. However, I was pleasantly surprised. While the hotel could use some modernizing, it was comfortable and a good value.”

- Hotel at registration was friendly and also the engineering staff who came to fix the bath door.
- $20 per day/overnight parking fee is too much and also bell boy and valet parking staff was too pushy and wants us to eat the hotels restaurant.
“This hotel in general was okay but no way 3 star hotel. $20 overnight parking fee per day is ridiculous as this hotel is in suburb and not in a city and have a huge parking lot. Also, it seems that some staff has been instructed by management to keep asking the guests to eat dinner at their restaurant. Also, the room assigned to us has a broken bath room door which gets stuck every time you open or close it but next day on our request and after their engineer examines it they moved us to a different room.”

- It had a good sports bar.
- It was too far away from where we wanted to go, expensive transport to other locations.

- It could have been cleaner.
“The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. The bathroom was small, but the complimentary toiletries were upscale, and the shower was perfect. There weren't very many television channels, and I didn't like the fact that internet was $12.95 rather than free like most hotels. There was a beer bottle on my balcony which had been left by a previous guest, and the room could have been cleaned better, but otherwise, it was a very good value.”

- Entire staff was friendly and competent. Workout facilities were the best I've experienced.
- Did not like to have to pay for parking.
“I was entirely impressed with how attentive, friendly, courteous and competent the entire staff was throughout our visit. We were always treated with respect and it seemed like it was a goal of the entire staff to make our stay enjoyable. And the workout facilities were the best I've ever experienced! I'd like to stay there longer.”

- The staff was the friendliest staff of any hotel Ive stayed in. Mike the bellman was great...
- Our room was over 1000 ft. From the lobby. I'm a senior with a knee problem.

- Very friendly and helpful staff, great workout facility and beautiful indoor/outdoor pool.
- Location worked well as it was close to the airport and cat; however the train ride was 40-45 minutes each way into the city.
“Next time we'll probably stay downtown, but for our first trip to Chicago this was perfect. Riding the train in and out of the city each day may have taken a bit longer than we would have liked, but it offered age react way to see other parts of Chicago. The hotel was clean, had comfortable rooms and friendly staff. I would recommend it especially to business travelers.”

- All the staff, from the driver of the shuttle to the concierge to the hostess was friendly and helpful.
- The walls between the rooms were thin and noise carried very easily.
“The shuttle was convenient, the food in the harvest restaurant was excellent - there was also a sport bar where you could get burgers and such if you wanted something less fancy/pricey. The gift shop had incidentals such as toothpaste - and the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. The bedding was nice and new - they had those fluffy comforters and nice pillows. There were flight attendants and pilots staying while I was there which seemed like a good sign - overall it was a very pleasant stay.”

- I wanted to be down in the Loop area, but could not afford it.
“The Marriott O'Hare is a good alternative for business travelers when Chicago Loop/Downtown hotels become overbooked. It is a comfortable business hotel with both onsite and local restaurants. The Marriott O'Hare is also a 100 yard walk to the El Train station. The commute to Loop/Downtown is inexpensive and less than an hour.”

- had to pay $20 extra a night to park your car and never was informed on the internet site of the extra charge.
“I was disappointed in the hotel. First of all the internet site stated the room was to have a refrigerator and a VCR, neither was in the room. My husband and I planned to keep food in the refrigerator for breakfast to eat before a 1/2 marathon we were attending. So we had to ice it all weekend. Hard to find something opened at 5 in the morning to eat at. The gift shop was pricey for snacks. I still can't believe we had to pay extra for parking. I have never been at a hotel were they make you pay for your car. We will not be staying at this hotel again. I rather pay more for the room and get more for your dollar, like breakfast in the morning with free parking.”

- Cleanliness! There was pubic hair on the bathroom floor, that I had to ask twice to get cleaned up.
“Okay location. Had problem with cleanliness. The hotel room seemed okay until I went in to the bathroom and there was pubic hair on the bathroom floor. It took asking two times to get it cleaned up. They were very nice about it, but nice didn't mean competent. They then screwed up twice on my bill. They offered to give me a free breakfast, but then charged me for it - in fact, they overcharged me for it. The hotel was supposed to be rated a 3.5+ star. I would rate it, if the room was clean, at a 2.5. With the dirty room, I'd give it a 1.”

- There is an "L" stop in walking distance.
- High-speed internet is $12.95 a day!!!
“This hotel is close to highways and has an "L" stop in walking distance. Few restaurants in the area. Front desk staff is adequate but the managers are good and available. Room care was good but there are not enough electric outlets in the room and you have to pay for internet and parking.”

“Bellhop, chauffeur, and room service were all very nice and helpful. Woman who checked us in was quite rude, however. Carpet in our room was dirty and previous people's items were still in the room. “Still a Marriott, but the bathroom seemed to need a makeover. Tub had rust around drain, and a few of the Marriott standards were missing. Staff was courteous, food was good. I thought that $20 for parking in the suburbs was a bit on the high side. Would have stayed in town, but there was no room in the inn, so I had to stay out in the hinterlands.”

“Great hotel, helpful & competent staff. The pool & Jacuzzi are better than advertised. Right next to the trains, expect a 30 min ride to the downtown area. Rooms are a bit compact, but its a great deal is you're only really going to use the rooms as a place to sleep.”

“Great location, near the O'Hare Convention Center. The staff were very friendly. Rooms were great. Pretty big Hotel w/lots of character. The indoor/outdoor heated pool was fabulous. The Exercise Room was one of the best ever. Parking was Robbery...$20/daily. When most O'Hare hotels charge $12....at the most $15/daily.”

- Extremely professional and efficient staff, my favorite toiletries, and a balcony!
- Parking Fees (but I never like those).
“Overall, I was impressed with the staff (which is unusual for me) as they were not only professional but very welcoming and service-oriented. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable and to my liking (which is also unusual for me). While it wasn't overly extravagant, it still felt more special than "just business" and a little bit of a retreat (especially with a private balcony and my favorite toiletries in the bathroom)!”

- The room was clean and the Bed was fantastic Buffet was great.
- No smoking policy and restaurant menu items.
“We had one problem ordering breakfast from the menu in the Harvest cafe, other than that the hotel is very nice, clean and located close enough to the ball park & downtown. The NO Smoking policy was a problem as we had to go outside to the smoking area. That is the only reason we wouldn't stay here again.”

- Most sincerely friendly staff in the country, from weekly business traveler.
- Bathrooms are the smallest I've seen, toiletries very nice though.
“I travel weekly across the country on business and typically stay at Hiltons, Marriott's, Westins, etc. I have to honestly say that from the service personnel, the housekeeping staff, front desk, valet, gift shop, etc. this is the most personable and friendly group of individuals I have ever encountered. Not patronizingly friendly but sincerely friendly. We were amazed and very pleasantly surprised at how this personality trait was demonstrated at every encounter we had throughout the property. Rooms are so-so, bathrooms are tiny but the staff more than makes up for it. Very pleasant stay!”

- Close to subway station takes you directly Downtown.
- Have to pay for Parking.
“This hotel was very clean and the room were nice. Our rooms was conveniently located by the Indoor/Outdoor pool. The hotel is in very close proximity to O'Hare Airport. The Blue line train to downtown is located in the Adjacent parking lot and is very convenient and will take you to downtown Chicago loop area. I would recommend this hotel for business travelers or anyone looking to stay on a budget for downtown who doesn't mind staying outside of town.”

- Beautiful pool area with Warm water in the pool; great desk area & bed comfy; staff great.
- $16 per day parking charge - didn't expect that away from downtown
“One of the nicest hotels we have visited - everything was sparkling; great view from the room; down comforter; great shower; great large desk; staff very attentive; parking charges substantial at $16/day”

- The bedding was great!
- The parking was expensive, I expected to eliminate this cost since the location was out of the downtown area.

- The room was clean and pleasant. The bedding is wonderful.
- The parking cost an additional $20.00 per night.
“The hotel was convenient. The front desk staff was helpful. We happened to have a room on the first floor with everything nearby. The pool area is lovely. The extra $20.00 per night for parking was excessive. We weren't aware of the time change until we were an hour early for a meeting the first morning. We would choose this hotel again.”

- Heavenly bed!!! I've never had such a good night of sleep!
- Being over-charged for use of the Internet in the business center.
