“The hotel staff was nice and courteous. I really did not need anything. The tam did not work. There was nothing amazing about the restaurant. Expected continental on the house. But it was comfortable and the staff was nice.”

• I liked the cleanliness and the "first impression" upon walking into hotel as well as our room.
• We had booked for 3 adults. We were given one King size bed! Sofa bed did not have sheets provided for it.

“I would stay there again without hesitation. I was on a tight time schedule so was unable to address #14 issues at the time. But feel certain if I had, staff would have been accommodating.”

• Suites allowed for both family space and private couple space.
• No free internet, and no wi-fi at all. Not comparable to other hotels I have stayed at in Chicago

“The Hotel certainly met, and even exceeded, our expectations in terms of luxury, convenience and price. The internet connection was my only quibble. When I stayed at the Marriott courtyard in downtown Chicago in January 2007, every room had complimentary wi-fi. This would make the rooms much more business friendly. Ten dollars a day for a wired connection is pretty steep.”

• Luxurious room, fantastic bathroom. The colors were gorgeous.
• I got gouged on phone charges and parking.

“This is a beautiful luxurious hotel. The tiny sign made it nearly impossible to find in the dark. I was amazed at the comfort of the room. The room service breakfast was on time. I made the mistake of using the hotel for long distance calls. Parking fee was exorbitant.”

• Large suite, huge bathroom, nice shower.
• $20 a night for parking, fee for internet.

“This hotel was one of the nicest I¿ve stayed at. The suites were large and nicely furnished. Great location, right off of the interstate, 5 min from O¿Hare, and 20 from downtown Chicago. Friendly staff and a wonderful restaurant make this hotel one of the best in Chicago!”

• Location, effective, clean, smooth.
• On Sunday I had to ask for cleaning, but done promptly. Restaurant: food is average, but service was very customer friendly.

“See answers on 13 and 14.At my rate a very good value as compared to the downtown hotels. Worthwhile the trip by train, cab or car to the city.”

• There wasn't access to my hotel floor from the parking garage.

“The room was decorated well, very clean and the bathroom was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. I was disappointed that there wasn't a microwave in the room.”

“Very nice hotel. Modern, nothing was old and out of date. The staff was very friendly. Room was nice and big and the beds were great. Only complaints were the extra fees. $20 a day for parking. No free continental breakfast. No free internet. You get that stuff for free at much cheaper hotels. It wasn't enough to dampen my stay though. I'd stay there again.”

• Even though the price of food was high, there was a grocery store and two restaurants close by with prices more to my pocketbook.
• There was no complimentary breakfast or parking at this hotel.

“The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, the room was gorgeous. My sisters and I liked the location and the room service that we received. Food prices were rather high but there were two restaurant close by with better prices. The staff was very friendly and cordial the entire time we were there. We have decided that this might be one of the places we might frequent when we do our "sisterly get-together" next year.”

• I liked the spacious room and very modern bathroom.
• It is by many businesses, but not a lot of places outside the hotel to eat.

“Its is a great place to stay. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is very modern. We chose the hotel for the convenience to O'Hare Airport. They provide a shuttle that will pick up and drop off right at the terminal.”

• Friendly, easy to work with staff.
• Location. No free parking for guests.

“We heard frequent loud noises as if someone was hammering or breaking down walls. The rooms were clean and decorated for travelers. Staff was friendly and very eager to please. Did not try any meals there. There was a star bucks in the lobby but it was open only at certain times.”

• The room and bed were very comfortable and quiet. I also really liked the bath products.
• The front desk manager was unfriendly (the rest of the staff was great).

“The Renaissance is so close to O'Hare that you can see the planes, but it is very quiet. The proximity to the train station is nice, too. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and pleasant to use. The pool has toys for kids to use, and the staff, overall, was very friendly and helpful. The room service is a little pricey, but all very tasty.”

• Gave taxi refund for incorrect directions.
• Some staff may need to learn location of hotel.

“Front desk staff were helpful and kind when they learned we had been given incorrect directions to the hotel. The staff apologized, asked us to take the nearest cab for which the hotel would reimburse, then followed through on the promise!”

• The staff went our to their way to help us retrieve my wife's cell phone when left in the room on the day of checkout. delivered phone to airport.
• Rooms were a little small.

“I really enjoyed the stay. The property is clean and neatly arranged. It is located next to a CTA stop and their is a chain restaurant located within walking distance of the hotel. Really, really enjoyed the stay!!”

• The parking at $20 a day is too much, we paid less to park in Brooklyn, NY!

• Overall quality was excellent.
• Paying for Internet in the room for a 200 plus a night hotel is kind of stupid.

“The hotel and staff were excellent. The hotel construction and the stand up separate shower was outstanding The only aggravating point of the whole stay was having to pay extra for an Internet connection in the room Paying for an Internet connection in your room for a $200 plus a night hotel is pretty bush league. Charge more for the room if necessary, but even Marriot's cheaper hotels do not charge for Internet in the room.”

• Very convenient to the subway/transfer system and close to downtown. Very clean and light.
• The only complaint I have is that we did not have enough towels or wash cloths and had to ask just about every day of the four days we were there.

“The hotel was beautiful and kept very clean. I was very happy with the service we received, except for the towels and washcloths. The people at the desk were very helpful and they even kept our suitcases. We had to check out the latest at 1pm and we did not have to catch our train back till 6:pm and did not want to carry around town.”

• Housekeeping slow and not thorough.

“ Good, very clean, friendly staff, ample parking, onsite Starbucks, in-room pay-per-view movies and Internet access, windows that open, from I-90 very easy to get to, double-wide shower in suite with a shower head high enough for me to wash my hair without bending over. Very noisy near O'Hare Airport, parking is an outrageous $16 per occurrence, housekeeping friendly but spoke only broken English, no towels left after room was cleaned. Overall a pleasant experience. Marriott is quickly becoming my hotel of choice, although it's more expensive than my previous preferred hotel chain - Holiday Inn.”

• Heavy traffic causes longer travel time to any destination from hotel.

• They charged me for parking without informing me first.

“Hotel was nice and clean. Decent gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi. Room was nice and quite roomy. Location was great, just steps away from the CTA train stop. Room service and hotel staff was friendly and helpful. However, they did charge me for parking without informing me, and they charged me for parking for days when I didn't even park in the garage. After talking to them about it they did remove the charges.”

“I thought it was a very nice looking hotel, and the rooms were very nice and clean. The location was very close to the train station so getting into the city was simple. I was disappointed that when I request two queen beds instead of a king that they did not do that, but they did allow me to change rooms so it worked out OK.”

• I had called before my stay & asked if they shuttle between the hotel & Rosemont Conv Cen, I was told yes, at the hotel they offered me a cab.

“The reason I would not stay again is that I would need to shuttle to and from the Rosemont Conv Cent and hotel did not do what they said they would. They offered me a cab in a very matter of fact manner.”

• I don't think it is a good-looking hotel because of uncleaned facilities and little spacious

• Very nice hotel, loved the divided room and spacious bathroom.
• Parking Fee, Internet Fee, this room cost us a lot more than we expected.

“The Renaissance Suites is a great hotel with excellent accommodations. The beds are incredibly comfortable with down feather pillows and blanket. The bathrooms are spacious and well laid out. Our room even had the bedroom separated from the living area. My only complaints about the hotel are the extra fees. As expected from any upper class hotel, everything is very expensive. Parking is $16 per night, and Internet access is $9.95.”

• The rooms were very clean and bathroom was great. Bed was comfortable.
• No late night room service. Or restaurants or places to eat in walking distance.

“For the business traveler this hotel was excellent. The rooms were inviting comfortable and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was a nice big size. The Bed was very comfortable. Making local call shad a charge is one thing I didn't think was appropriate in this day and age. Also free in room wireless Internet is what most of the smaller hotels offer and having to pay for it was not a good thought. It would have been nice if there was late night room service or somewhere to eat with in walking distance. overall I enjoyed the hotel and the staff were courteous.”

• Room is clean. Some receptionists are very friendly, not all.
• No easy communication or shuttle to convention center.

“Good price, but inconvenient for going to convention center, even though it is fairly close. Some receptionists (late afternoon & evening shift) are very friendly and helpful but morning shift receptionists are not very helpful even on simple task like getting a Taxi.”

• The decor was high end.
• Had to pay 10.00 for Internet access. Iron was missing from room.

“Would be disappointed if I paid the rack rate. Had to wait in a line to check in. No iron in the closet. Had to pay 10.00 for Internet access which is free at most lower end hotels. Had a terrific art deco look. Large sitting room and desk area in the suite. Much more room than I needed traveling alone.”

• Rooms are generally set up with only one large king bed.

• The hotel was fantastic. It was romantic and beautiful. Very clean, and everyone was very helpful.
• We used the shuttle service to go to O'Hare and the driver dropped us off with lots of luggage in the wrong place. VERY inconvenient!!

• Style of room as you walk in.
• No vending machines in hallways.

“This was an amazing hotel. I loved everything about it. From the time I arrived and till the time I left I was in awe. Rooms are very spacious and accommodating Love the style of room when you first walk in. I want to go back.”
