• Hearing the person above me walking.

“It could up their ratings by having a workout room and sauna instead of the pool. Business travelers would like to get a workout in even on business. I will be looking for a hotel with a workout area in the future.”

• There was a tiny bit of growth in the shower area.

“This hotel was close to a mall and dining, it was a little difficult to find the entrance and the breakfast was great for a continental breakfast.”

• Staff very personable and friendly!
• Sagging sofa bed, hard king bed, very slow drain in tub, some towels stained.

“Traveled with spouse and 2 small children. I realize this is on the budget end of the Marriott hotel chain; however, I was really disappointed in the very poor quality/comfort of the sofa bed & king bed. Sofa bed sagged in the middle and there was no "cushion effect" left in either sofa bed or king bed. The towels appeared clean, but some had stains on them - which made me question the entire supply in our room. We were happy that it was only a 1 night's stay.”

• The size of the room/suite was more than adequate.
• Halls and elevators were filthy. They looked like they had not been vacuumed in weeks.

“The location of the hotel is next to the interstate which makes it convenient for travelers. I ordered a suite, so the size of the room was excellent. The free internet access is also a plus. The cleanliness of the halls, elevator, and lobby was sub-standard. I would not stay at this particular hotel again unless I was assured they had cleaned things up.”

• Location was very close to the mall and good dinning, recommend the Red Lobster. Staff are wonderful.
• The door to the bathroom would not close unless you pushed hard and it made a lot of noise and someone complained about the noise.

“Lees Inn next door is much better; better breakfast better staff and nicer pool for the kids at about the same price.”

• It was clean and attractive.
• Very loud and a fight going on in parking lot and no one cared.

“The hotel was clean. The problem being the toilet would not flush right and this is a problem. Upon calling the desk she said the plumber would be in at 3 am and not before and the hotel was booked and so were others in the area and she didn't know what I wanted to do about the situation no one did come to check it out I fixed it on my own. I guess thats what you do when you go to a nice hotel you provide the service to fix broken things for them at a nice price. I think I won't be going back to this particular one.”

• Room was smoky and turned down our offer to go to another room.

“They said that they had just gone to being completely smoke-free and that they were "working on" trying to get the smoke smell out of certain rooms. When confronted on it, they did not try to offer us any alternatives even though they were not at capacity. Pool, lobby/breakfast area, hallways, and rooms were in good shape though, other than the smoke smell.”

• Room not at all clean - free breakfast ok first day, almost not there second day even though I was there same time.

“My room was not clean, sticky glass rings on table and desk, mold in bathroom, carpet was dirty with a lot of build up in the corners, linens were very wrinkled. I just was not comfortable. I would be unlikely to stay at this hotel again and would have second thoughts about any Fairfield Inn.”

“The rooms are clean and more than acceptable for any type of stay. The continental breakfast is better than most other places I have stayed. However, the toilet broke and the hotel switched us to another room because there were no maintenance workers available to fix it, which was fine.”

• They found us a non-smoking room at another hotel and paid the difference in cost.
• They only had 2 rooms available, both were smoking room. We won't stay in a smoking room.

“We had requested a non-smoking room, they did not reserve a non-smoking room for us, and only had 2 rooms available when we checked in, both were smoking rooms and smelled like it. They agreed to find a non-smoking room for us in another hotel and pay the difference. We would have preferred a non-smoking room at the Fairfield, but we accepted their offer and stayed at the other hotel.”

• Pool shut down too many times for adding clorine, should be done at night

“As mentioned in last statement pool is shut down alot ,at least once a week, the staff should add chemicals to pool and whirlpool on third shift when noone is in the pool. I work cunstruction and look forward to getting the whirlpool after a 12 hour day and when i get to hotel and pool and whirlpool is down it wrecks my whole day”

• I liked the location and the staff was very friendly.
• The hot-tub was poorly maintained and no workout room.

“The location was great! Staff was friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the hot-tub not kept clean, which then made me question if the pool chemical levels were maintained, because the pool water was also a little cloudy looking. Adding a fitness room would be a great addition.”

• Friendly staff, complete breakfast, surprisingly comfortable to be there
• I really enjoyed my stay

“The hotel was very busy, but they were professional and expert in making everyone happy. The "continental breakfast" expectation was a box of donuts, but what they had was eggs with do it yourself waffles, fruit, coffee, juice, bagels etc....the pool is a little small but you dont need a big pool to have a nice time, the pool hours gave plenty of time for enjoyment. Hotel is located in the mall area, so shopping and eating is readily available. Lots of fun things to do there.”
