• It was clean and attractive.
• Very loud and a fight going on in parking lot and no one cared.

“The hotel was clean. The problem being the toilet would not flush right and this is a problem. Upon calling the desk she said the plumber would be in at 3 am and not before and the hotel was booked and so were others in the area and she didn't know what I wanted to do about the situation no one did come to check it out I fixed it on my own. I guess thats what you do when you go to a nice hotel you provide the service to fix broken things for them at a nice price. I think I won't be going back to this particular one.”

“Convenient location just offs the interstate and in close proximity to shopping areas; room was very clean, attractive, and quiet, with nice work desk. Bathroom was small but completely adequate. Reception was friendly, prompt, and attentive.”

• Good price and convenient location.
• Room was smoky and turned down our offer to go to another room.

“They said that they had just gone to being completely smoke-free and that they were "working on" trying to get the smoke smell out of certain rooms. When confronted on it, they did not try to offer us any alternatives even though they were not at capacity. Pool, lobby/breakfast area, hallways, and rooms were in good shape though, other than the smoke smell.”

• Location was good.
• Room not at all clean - free breakfast ok first day, almost not there second day even though I was there same time.

“My room was not clean, sticky glass rings on table and desk, mold in bathroom, carpet was dirty with a lot of build up in the corners, linens were very wrinkled. I just was not comfortable. I would be unlikely to stay at this hotel again and would have second thoughts about any Fairfield Inn.”

• Toilet broke and we needed to change rooms.

“The rooms are clean and more than acceptable for any type of stay. The continental breakfast is better than most other places I have stayed. However, the toilet broke and the hotel switched us to another room because there were no maintenance workers available to fix it, which was fine.”

• They found us a non-smoking room at another hotel and paid the difference in cost.
• They only had 2 rooms available, both were smoking room. We won't stay in a smoking room.

“We had requested a non-smoking room, they did not reserve a non-smoking room for us, and only had 2 rooms available when we checked in, both were smoking rooms and smelled like it. They agreed to find a non-smoking room for us in another hotel and pay the difference. We would have preferred a non-smoking room at the Fairfield, but we accepted their offer and stayed at the other hotel.”

“This hotel was okay, they are going through a renovation that is needed. The picture fell off of the wall and onto my head when I was watching TV. That is because it was not securely attached to the wall.”

“Pleasant, efficient staff - both at check-in & at breakfast service. Pool seems well-maintained as were the rooms & lobby. Very easy access to indoor mall shopping and the interstate. For my family's needs, it was an excellent fit.”

• Pool shut down too many times for adding clorine, should be done at night

“As mentioned in last statement pool is shut down alot ,at least once a week, the staff should add chemicals to pool and whirlpool on third shift when noone is in the pool. I work cunstruction and look forward to getting the whirlpool after a 12 hour day and when i get to hotel and pool and whirlpool is down it wrecks my whole day”

• I liked the location and the staff was very friendly.
• The hot-tub was poorly maintained and no workout room.

“The location was great! Staff was friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the hot-tub not kept clean, which then made me question if the pool chemical levels were maintained, because the pool water was also a little cloudy looking. Adding a fitness room would be a great addition.”

• I really enjoyed my stay

“The hotel was very busy, but they were professional and expert in making everyone happy. The "continental breakfast" expectation was a box of donuts, but what they had was eggs with do it yourself waffles, fruit, coffee, juice, bagels etc....the pool is a little small but you dont need a big pool to have a nice time, the pool hours gave plenty of time for enjoyment. Hotel is located in the mall area, so shopping and eating is readily available. Lots of fun things to do there.”

• The location of my room had too much outside light showing through even with the curtains closed.

“I was at the hotel because I had to attend a family funeral. The staff was very helpful. They gave me an early check-in and a late check-out because of wake and funeral times. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I've ever had at a hotel(including 4-5 star hotels). Everything was clean, my non-smoking room didn't have the smell of smoke(sometimes they do). They made the unfortunate reason for my stay as easy as possible.”

• Management needs to control their guests and fix it up.

“I have stayed here MANY times over the years. It started out very nice and went downhill from there. The problem isn't the location or pricing as it is the rif-raf from the "hood" in Kankakee that let their kids go there for all night parties and trash the place. The management needs to get a back bone and keep them out. The three other establishments around it aren't that much better....shop based on price!”

• The staff was helpful, the shampoo, soaps and shower was good...
• The hot tub was broken which was a real letdown, the vending machine was broken, at 12 exactly the key cards voided so that was very inconvenient

“It wasn't spectacular but I would stay again out of necessity. I wish the hot tub and vending machine had been working but there wasn't any maintenance person on hand to fix such things. The continental breakfast was pretty lacking and I will never understand why they have to shut them down and take everything away so early.. even the toaster. Don't people sleep in on vacations anymore? I appreciate the lower cost because I wouldn't have paid the original cost for the stay we had.”

“The Hotel was OK, But the first night, there was a loud fight in the room next to us until approx. 4:00 am in the morning. A lot of yelling and threats. I finally went over and told them to "knock it off or I'd call the Police." The next day, we were gone all day, and when we returned, the room had never been cleaned by the maid service. The front desk offered to come up and make the bed, but we told them to forget it.”

“My husband and I stayed two nights for a wedding in the area. The hotel was loud do to construction right in front of my door. Housekeeping never cleaned our room while we were away all day. We had to ask for clean towels. Oh! also the snacks from the vending were stale! The staff we did see at the desk were friendly.”
