• 1/2 inch of dust on top for dresser, put extra pillow up.

“Nice hotel for business especially if you are part of a group with the convention center. Good shuttle service to airport. Not a car-friendly location. $16/night fee.”

• The cookie when I arrived, The friendliness of the people.
• There was no hotel parking. $16 a day is high.

“I cried when I walked in to the room. The room was so much more than I expected. There were 5 pillows on each bed, a separate show and bath, clean tile floors, a coffer maker, two phones. So very far from the one star I got stuck in the night before. I was completely comfortable and blissfully happy.”

• The bathroom was huge, with a large separate shower.
• Extra fees: $13 for internet access, $11 per day parking.

“Nice place, but too many hidden fees. Front desk staff told me internet access would be $10, and acted like that should be cool with me. Then when I hooked up my laptop, the fee was actually $13. Parking was $11, in a garage, and staff did not clue me in that I should park on 3rd floor to access Skybridge, even though I was checking in as a single female at 11 p.m. carrying all my own luggage. Staff was basically not helpful.”

“The hotel itself was very pleasant. However, we had problems at check in. My friends card ended up being charged as well. They also sent us to dirty rooms at check in.”

• Hyatt: bath had some loose wallpaper.

• Best Doubletree we have been in. Clean room.
• The one checking us out was rude and very unfriendly.

“We have stayed in Doubletree earlier and it worried me because we were treated like second class travelers. Not this time. This hotel was clean and we had a nice room. We cannot complain about the room. The service was ok. Front desk clerk checked us out and was extremely rude and unfriendly. She was obviously having a bad day and took it out on the customers. We were accused of stealing out of the mini-bar and they had to send up someone to check it out. Katy offered no apology and continued to be rude.”

“The room service menu said it was available until midnight. When we called at 11:30, the desk clerk rudely informed us that it was closed. When we mentioned what the menu said, she yelled, "Well it's closed! You're just going to have to order pizza!"”

• Staff. Purely obnoxious.

“They state that they run a shuttle service to the airport but don't tell you that they don't provide the service after1 a.m. Someone forgot to send them a memo that flights do arrive at O'Hare after 1 a.m. also. Very unfriendly front staff. Maybe that is all they can afford at that time of the time. There are at least 100 other hotels around O'Hare and none of them are as bad as this one.”

• Clean, nice rooms, large bathroom with a large shower, and comfortable bed!
• Had to pay $10 per day for internet and $11 a day for parking, can hear airplanes during the day.

“Great hotel! The pros: large bathroom with a bathtub and a large shower room, comfortable beds. The cons: close to the airport, so you can hear the airplanes during the day, have to pay for parking ($11/day) and for internet access ($10/day)!”

• I liked the pool and the suana.
• The people at the front desk were not that friendly.

“The shuttle bus drivers were not helpful with the bags. They made no attempt to help you with your bags, instead they sat in the car. The front dest people ask me to my i.d. to get a room key activated. However my daughter told me she saw 2 men get their keys activated without showing i.d's. The business center has computers that have no sound and mess up alot.”

• Our room had no heat when we arrived. The room was switched quickly with no fuss.
• Minor issue - maids did not properly follow through with requests for extra coffee.

“The rooms were beautiful and quite comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The only very minor issue was that I repeatedly requested extra decaf coffee and the maid kept leaving one extra regular coffee - no big problem though.”

• Parking 11.00/day in Convention lot. No notice of cost.

“Hotel was fine, folks friendly. Parking lousy. Being surprised with an 11.00/day charge that was not part of our budget was bad. The lot was super busy and roads in front jammed with illegal parking and 1/2 the street blocked with restaurant parking. We had a shower problem. It shut off then came back on with scalding hot water that hurt my wife. That happened 4 times then she just got out. The engineer said it was a pressure problem. It was not. 2 days of parking were offered.”

“I was delighted to be in the Doubletree. I was registered for a convention across the street and would have been charged more than double to stay in the convention hotel. The Convention Center was an easy, and enclosed, walk from the Doubletree. It couldn't have been a better "match" for me.”

• Very dry air, high room heat, price for parking, price at restaurant.

“Overall very nice hotel, no free breakfast, pricey parking, only validated once. Restaurant was very high priced. Room was clean, very warm, too much so for me. Kids enjoyed pool, advertised as being connected to convention center, but was not.”

“The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. In room internet charge is too expensive, $10 a day. The maids are loud, walked into my room while I was in the shower without knocking, and slammed doors all morning while I was trying to sleep until only 8:00 a.m.”

• I loved the safe feeling as a single female traveler. Also, the layout of the gym and pool, no unseen areas.
• The window was noisy until I pushed it harder at 2 a.m. due to the whistling sound.

• Beautiful room. Excellent bath.
• Unexpected parking fee. Staff was just so-so on friendliness.

• Bed was comfortable.
• They could not find my reservation, took 30 minutes to check in.

“Overall not bad. I do not like paying to park, especially since this was not in the downtown area. The worst part was they could not find my reservation. Even though I called to inform them it would be a late check-in. Luckily the person I spoke to was the one who check me in and saw the reservation earlier.”

• The room was very comfortable and clean and much nicer than rooms I've booked outright for. The exercise room and pool were nicer than most we've seen.
• The down side was the parking. At $11/day, the best parking had no in/out privileges and we felt somewhat restricted.

“Our overall stay was very nice for the price we negotiated. The room and hotel amenities were somewhat upscale and the staff was attentive and helpful. Parking was handled by a third party and didnt provide in/out privileges. Also, nothing was in convenient walking distance unless you are attending an event at the convention center which is only a block away.”

“I booked this stay upon learning that I would miss a connecting flight in ORD. I arrived late and dined in the lounge with the kitchen staff. The accommodations and the hospitality I encountered was welcome after a 12+ hour flight from Shanghai. It was actually one of the best experiences on my trip.”

• Rooms were very nice and comfortable very comfortable bed.
• $11 per day to park no parking validation or free lots anywhere transit station 1/4 mile away was $1.75 per day but then theft might be an issue.

“This hotel had nice comfortable rooms for the price. It is very conveniently located by the Rosemont convention center making it a great choice for business travelers. Chicago CTA blue line station is 1/4 mile walk from the hotel, but a 50 minute ride to downtown Chicago. Parking in the hotel/convention center ramp is $11 per day with a one day minimum no in and out privileges. If you are a business traveler, this is a solid stay. For a family or person with a car who is going to sightsee you may want to find a hotel with cheaper parking.”

• It was very clean and had friendly staff.
• You have to pay for parking. If you stay on the second floor, you are likely to hear a lot of noise; its the floor everyone walks in from the garage.

“The hotel was clean and very nice. The only problem we had was staying on the second floor. It connects to the parking garage and there is a lot of foot traffic. We complained and they moved us to very quite room. They seem to be very accommodating.”

• Bathroom was very spacious with separate shower and tub. Shower was huge. Overall decor was pleasing.
• The room was cramped to force a sofa and table into room. Would have preferred to ditch the couch.

“Very close to Rosemont l train stop. Across the street from convention center and Rosemont theatre. $11/day to park in convention center parking garage was unexpected for a hotel so far from downtown. Other hotels in area had their own parking for free. Police directing traffic (car and pedestrian) in front of convention center blew their whistles starting very early in the morning and was quite annoying when we were sleeping in on Sunday morning.”

• It was a beautiful hotel, comfortable and clean, I really can't say enough about it!
• The food from room service was overpriced and not very good.

“The doubletree was a fantastic hotel. Our room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We stayed just a few doors down from the heated indoor pool. The hotel was located just a couple of blocks from a CTA blue line stop that took us into the city in only 45 minutes. The breakfast buffet was delicious and included made to order omelet's. Wonderful stay! Awesome.”
