• Location
• Small rooms, uncomfortable beds, old tv, pending charge on my account and I was not made aware that it was there.

“Very disappointed and very surprised it has been rated as a 4 star. The rooms were small, the tv was old and had a buzzing sound, the beds were uncomfortable and they put a $25 pending charge on my account and never made me aware of it.”

• Clean, and was friendly.
• We were put on the 6th floor and heard the air conditioning fans out on the roof all night.

“The Hyatt is one of our favorite hotels. We just found out that the 6th floor is just above the roof where the fans for the air conditioners are kept and we heard the fans all night. Our next stay we will request a different floor.”

• Horrible dessert with room service.

“Friendly, well situated with mini-suite format, very conducive for one person, a bit cramped for two. It can be a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the front desk, not good for those with mobility issues. Surcharges for computer in business center add up quickly. Easy access to toll road 294. Great value.”

• Staff was very prompt and courteous.
• Size of room and the thumping in the wall from pipes.

“Pool was not very clean and construction was going on in room to get to pool. 1st Room was not very big and had a noise in wall. Location of hotel was good, but location of rooms were on the corners far from elevators. Staff was very nice and polite. 2nd room was much better.”

• The layout of the rooms with swivel TV, the hotel staff.
• We were only there overnight to sleep, so we found nothing wrong with our stay.

“When the desk clerk saw that we had a child with us, she offered us the option of 1 king or 2 queen beds and suggested that they would be glad to bring a pillow top to the room for the hide-a-bed sofa. For a Friday evening, things were nice and quiet for sleeping. The room felt clean, and that is very important to me. Wish we could have stayed longer.”

• Convenience of getting on and off the highway.
• The bathroom was tiny! Barely enough room to turn around in!

“We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. After leaving for dinner and coming back to go to sleep we pulled out the sofa bed for our two younger boys. The sheets had not been changed from the previous guests! There were brownie crumbs and hairs all over it! We called guest services and they immediately sent someone to change the sheets. The bathroom was extremely tiny. There was hardly enough room for a person to turn around in! The rest of our stay was great and I have no other complaints. The pool was great and the hot tub was terrific! The workout area was also very nice.”

“The decor and sitting room area of this hotel are very comfortable. Nice design layout. The hotel is a bit far from downtown Chicago for the average tourist, but the free parking, pool and layout are definite pluses. A good value.”

• The rooms were incredible, and staff was helpful.
• There is nothing I don't like.

“I highly recommend the hotel. Beds were great, along with nice sheets and down pillows. The bathroom had a nice shower and amenities. There was a separate living room!”

• The hotel was very elegant.
• Didn't have a free continental breakfast.

“The hotel has very prompt service. The hotel has separate sleep area, & lounge area with let out couch. Very nice rooms. The hotel contains a Starbucks for all the coffee drinkers, and lots of conference room to hold meetings, or a nice wedding. Loved the pool, and hot tub. Definitely a winner of hotels.”

• Road construction outside hotel made it a little hard to get to.

• Shuttle was not available because holiday weekend.

“Person at check in said shuttle was not available because of the holiday weekend. Not enough guests to warrant that service. She said would give us a good room. The room at the last hallway from the elevator and had to walk almost to the end of hall. I would not say this was a great room. I have stayed at this location on a holiday and shuttle was available. I have also gotten this room for a much better rate. Much construction around hotel and difficult to get to hotel.”

• The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable.
• The surrounding area had little to offer as far as food was concerned.

“The hotel itself was fantastic. However, we drove around town for nearly 15 minutes before finding somewhere to eat and even then that was just a McDonalds. After another 15 minutes we found nothing else that was open and it was only about 10:00 PM. We would have settled even for fast food other than McDonalds if we had found something. But other than that, no complaints.”

• Small pool, rooms facing highway are a bit noisy.

• Beautiful rooms.
• Paper thin walls between rooms.

“This is a beautiful property with rooms that are comfortable, clean and well appointed in every way. My only complaint is that the beds, while extra-ordinarily comfortable, are bolted to the walls, and rooms are laid out back to back, so your headboard is bolted to your neighbors headboard. This serves to transmit each and every movement you make to your neighbor, and unfortunately, the other way around also. We felt every single romantic gesture going on in the other room and therefore would have to rate this property along the lines of a Roadway Inn.”

• The hotel staff front desk, concierge, and reception area were all very friendly, efficient & accommodating.
• Room service- Housekeeping staff was very slow in responding to requests.

“We enjoyed our stay at this Hyatt! The ambiance in the lobby was one of upscale, understated elegance. The rooms were beautifully furnished with modern-style but comfortable furniture. Even the robe (not too heavy & thick, just right) and the toiletries were tastefully chosen! Kudos. Great job!”

• Rooms were very modern, clean. Staff was great.
• Not too much. Free internet would have been nice.

“A great hotel, very clean and newer. The staff was friendly and responded to all requests quickly. The rooms were well decorated and had nice touches like high thread count sheets and layout was like a small suite. The food was good and room service was prompt. The free, large parking lot was great for a Hyatt. My only suggestion would be to get rid of the $10 a day charge for internet (c'mon, it's 2008 this should be free.). A really great place. I usually don't stay at Hyatt but would stay at this property or recommend to many associates that come into this area for business.”

• Conveniently located off major expressway, clean, comfortable and accommodating.
• Minor, but Starbucks staff was rude!

“The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel location was perfect for my business needs. The only complaints would be the individuals managing the Starbucks stand outside the restaurant were extremely rude and the hotel charged me long distance phone charges when in fact they were local calls for internet access (had to use the old dial up method).”

• I loved the fact that they went out of their way to make my stay comfortable.
• It was very difficult to get into because there was construction blocking the entrance.

“I really enjoyed my stay. I went with my husband and my 19 month old and my 8 month old. The staff did not hesitate to ask me if I needed help with luggage. As soon as I walked into my room, two cribs were awaiting along with goodies (Johnson & Johnson baby products) for my babies. I truly enjoyed my stay.”

• There were children under 16 using the exercise equipment and were taking over the hot tub.

“I thought the hotel was very nice from the minute we drove up. The landscaping was done nicely and there was a very nice court yard with tables and chairs. The staff was very friendly and our room was clean and comfortable.”

“Gorgeous lobby that makes you feel glamorous before you even get to the front desk. The desk worker noticed our three children and gave us a room with a fold out couch without us asking. The in house restaurant was too pricey including the little snack bar. And $3 for a bottle of water in the room? Maybe downtown, but not in the suburbs. It was a great place for us to jump off to all our other destinations in Chicago. Would go there again.”

• Like the set ups of the rooms. They had the feeling of a suite. It was nice to have the separate area with the kids.
• We came in one evening and there was a dinner party. It located right inside the front door. It was kind of odd walking trough.

“The hotel was great. The rooms were big enough for my family of four. The lobby was very nice and the staff was helpful. Other than the dinner party I would say the trip was excellent.”

• Room was smaller than expected, and a hole in chair, and couch seemed worn.

“Overall, this hotel is very nice, easy to find, and the staff seemed friendly and helpful (as long as you ask the right questions, they don't exactly volunteer information). Couple of slight negatives was that the room was smaller than I expected, the couch seemed a worn, and there was a small, but, visible hole in the leather chair. Also, the construction took away from the romantic feel on the outside of the hotel.”

• Customer service was GREAT! We had an issue w/a movie & the staff was super!
• Only 1 TV. & the bed sheets weren't phenomenal (I.E. Marriott @ which I recently stayed).
