“Would not stay here ever again. Dirty, dark, damp and moldy old hotel.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Tim from Fargo, ND
“Upon arrival we found the staff to be very nice. So was the pool area and we really enjoyed the free breakfast. But the room had a very musty smell. The night stand could not have been dusted in a while and we killed three bugs in the room.” Jul 19, 2008 by
David from Green Bay, WY
“Comfy beds, TV with Disney channel for kids. Loved hot waffles for breakfast. Big heated pool. If I go back to Gurnee/Waukegan with wife and kids, will come here again!” Jul 8, 2008 by
Elinor from West Chicago, IL
“The rooms were great with excellent service-pool in great shape& clean. Personnel were excellent-the kids had a great time, and the connection with their father made it wonderful with the graduation.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Brian from Milan, IL
“The hotel over all was a nice but couldnt see the sign because the trees were in the way. The pool was little chilly so my girlfriend wouldn't get in and the hot tube was broke so she was turned off by all of that.” Jul 26, 2007 by
Hb from Peoria, IL
“The hotel is good if you don't like elevators and have a need for exercise by searching for working vending and ice machines. Cleanliness wasn't an issue; however the facility needs to be updated. It is a 2 level facility and I guess management doesn't believe that people with mobility issues have a right to the second floor. The rooms were moderately small and the desk and chair were simply that. A desk and a chair, nothing special. Also, this facility needs better lighting at night, especially around back where they seem to send most of their guests. I loved the full cable TV channels which did include NICK and Cartoon Network, but there is nothing for kids to do but swim. I guess all the fun is reserved for Six-Flags which is fairly close to this facility. If nothing else is available I'll go back.” Jun 6, 2007 by
Sue from Columbus
“I stayed here because my nephew was graduating from boot camp at the great lakes Navy base. This hotel was very clean. The bedding was amazing. The beds were triple sheeted! They offer all guests a free breakfast which was delicious. The staff was extremely helpful. And the location was outstanding. I recommend this highly for anyone going to great lakes but additionally it was very close to Gurnee mills and great America.” Aug 17, 2006 by
Amy from Cambridge, WI
“If you can get beyond the outdated rooms and hallways it is a great place to stay. I will go back after they do a renovation because the staff were all very friendly and helpful and the bar area made for meeting a lot of the locals and having a great experience.” Jun 7, 2006 by
Angela from Nampa, ID
“The staff was courteous, the hotel was easy to find.” Hotel Representatives:
