• Decorated with class. rooms neat, clean. staff polite, helpful.
• 3 people in the room & only 3 towels. You know women, we need at least 2 for each shower. Left a note for housekeeping to leave more & only got 1.

“Classy facility. Helpful staff. Room neat and clean. Enjoyed the stay! The flat screen TV was an added bonus, as well as the internet connection. Plan to go to Chicago again to visit our son and plan to stay there.”

• I liked the separation between the living room and bedroom.
• I did not like the difficulty of pool access.

“This was a great hotel. The room layout was convenient with French doors between the bedroom and living room and a bathroom that could be accessed from both areas. I'd highly recommend it!”

• Pool down, smell of fuel, hotel did not respond to either.

• Very nice room with HDTV.
• Went to every floor to find ice and none could be found!

“When I called two days prior to our visit to make sure that it was okay to bring our seven year old son along they failed to mention that their pool was being totally retiled and couldn't be used. For those of you with kids, they live for pools and my son in particular. Our first disappointment. On night two I went to fill the ice bucket and they had the ice machines turned off on five of the seven floors and they weren't working on the other two. I went down to the front desk and they told me to go to the bar and have it filled. Nothing was done to compensate either of these things.”

“The hotel was very clean, the room was very modern and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. It is a good accommodation for family trips and business trips. It not too far from Chicago. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Large space, great wok station with large plasma HD TV.
• Proximity of entrance to pool thru a stairwell.

“Great place. I have stayed at many 3 to 4 star hotels in various cities and this hotel is the best as far as the room itself. If you are heading to northern suburb you wont be disappointed.”

• The overall decor of the Hotel` Classy.
• There weren't any restaurants in walking distance of hotel.

“The hotel was very pleasant and nice looking. The room was beautifully decorated. The husband and kids really enjoyed the flat screen TV and the indoor $ outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is a wonderful place to conduct business, or a romantic getaway. I didn't notice any other families. The only knock on the hotel is that it didn't have any restaurants, other than the one in the hotel in walking distance or any attraction for that matter. Overall, Deerfield seems to be a nice suburb in Chicago and the Deerfield Marriott Suites was wonderful!”

• No smoking anywhere.

“Overall nice stay. I disliked how understaffed the hotel was when I got there. At 6:30pm there was only one person at the front desk and it took me fifteen minutes to check in while he was on the phone with other guests the entire time. Otherwise very nice hotel for only 3 stars.”

“Our stay was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the room was beautiful, and the area was quiet and peaceful. This was the first time I had used and would definitely recommend it and will be using it again in the future. The hotel was very clean and was in the process of making even more improvements: new restaurant and work out area. We loved the hotel.”

• Our bathroom smelled of smoke despite it being a non-smoking room.

“Very nice hotel. Helpful staff. Two-room suite was great though bedroom was a bit small. A little tricky to find but generally good location (near I-94). A lot of great local & chain restaurants nearby. Great shopping also in the area (Westfield in Vernon Hills & Northbrook Mall; Gurnee Mills & Lakeside Outlet Center a little further north off of I-94). Try Walker Bros. on Milwaukee Ave. for breakfast! Only 30-45 minutes to downtown Chicago depending on traffic. Would definitely stay here again.”

• Juxtaposition to fine dining is limited--Eggshell Cafe was fantastic.

“Rooms are CLEAN & spacious and have a couch so you can send your spouse there J/K. SERVICE was EXCELLENT. Tub wasn't huge (5'(L)x 17"(D)) but there was a nice shower. Micro wave and Fridge were nice for leftovers. TEMP easy to ADJUST. We had a nice stay as one would expect from a Marriott Suites.”

• Great layout and location. Huge rooms. Friendly staff. Amazingly comfortable beds.
• It's in a business park so there aren't many restaurants or other entertainment very close by.

“This is a great hotel! The rooms are large, comfortable, clean and well decorated. The staff is wonderfully friendly. It's so convenient to the city, right next to 294. There's only one restaurant, other than the hotel restaurant very close by to the hotel, but the rooms are so nice I didn't want to leave to go anywhere, so we ordered pizza. I would definitely recommend it. ”

• The suite arrangement was perfect for an extended stay with a small child.
• Although the setting was nice, the indoor pool was not very appealing.

“Loved it! Easy parking, lovely lobby. Reasonably priced room service breakfast was a real treat! My daughter came down with strep throat while we were in town, and it was so great to have a clean, comfortable, private place for her to relax and get better. I have never enjoyed a hotel stay more than this one! Ultra comfortable bed, and the suite arrangement was perfect. Large bed, small bedroom, very well laid-out bathroom with both privacy and accessibility. Great sitting room (kitchen area).”

• AWESOME BED!! Most comfortable I've ever slept in.
• Directions were a bit shady. Sliding bathroom door knocks.

“Even though we got lost on the way to the hotel, it was worth every minute. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated but the suite was perfect. French doors separated the bedroom from the sitting area. Perfect for those who like the feel of extra privacy. Great price too! We'll definitely keep Deerfield Marriott in our thoughts when we return to the Chicago area.”

• The furnishings inside the hotel was 5 stars!
• The outside appearance was bland and not very attractive

“Don't judge this hotel by its cover. The furnishings and staff are impeccable but the outside appearance blends well with the buisness surroundings. If it wasn't for the Marriot sign I don't think I would have know that it was a hotel.”

• Very spacious suite with separate sitting area and enormous bathroom
• decor is a bit outdated - some chips & dings on sink/bathtub and towel bars falling down

“Excellent choice for a quiet weekend getaway. Hotel was not swarming with kids, but I'd have felt fine bringing mine with. Indoor and outdoor pools a nice bonus. Suites are good size for an all-suite property - could use a little updating in the near future, but definitely a great value for the price paid. We'd be happy to stay here again. Staff was pleasant and not condescending.”
