• Lots of great pillows on bed, 2 TVs, suite style set up.
• Very small bathroom, not as nice and updated as the rest of the room.

“Great for a short stay if you are going on to travel from the near by airport, park and fly with free shuttle service is great, very friendly and helpful staff, rooms were comfortable, bedding was excellent, several other hotels around, so, restaurant choices were fair. Overall, excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone who was going to be traveling through the airport, and needed a short stay before or after air travel.”

• Very nice rooms with new decor.
• Parking was the same price as the economy lot at OHare. $12 a night.

“The rooms are a suite style room with new LCD TV's. A variety of food venues within a short drive if you don't want to eat at the hotel restaurant. This is the nicest hotel near the airport that I have stayed in yet.”

• Excellent room, got two suites for the price.
• I liked everything about this hotel.

“This hotel was excellent and super clean. The staff was excellently trained and the suites were fantastic. We had two rooms and each had two flat screen lcd TVs, coffee maker, sleeper sofa, and was very clean and comfortable. I will stay here again and recommend it to anyone needing a hotel near O'Hare airport.”

• Corner suite was nice.
• Late night screaming and running the halls by drunks.

“A rowdy group was screaming and running in the halls at 1230 am. when I called the front desk the person on duty said she would call engineering which is did not understand. the second time I called around 1am I told her if she didn't call security I would call the police. she said she would handle it and about 30 minutes later it finally quieted down. I finally got to sleep in time to get up at 400am.i didn't spend much other time in the room or hotel but it looked nice and the suite was good since I couldn't sleep.”

• I loved the separate sitting area and beautiful lobby.
• Decor in suite just a bit low budget.

“Overall the hotel was very pleasant. The staff was very warm and friendly, and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The bed and pillows were heavenly. The only drawback was the restaurant was closed for dinner the night that we arrived so we had to order in pizza.”

“Won't be staying here! Flight was cancelled and they refused to change the booking costing me one night stay even though I gave them over 16 hours notice. Fly into ORD regularly on long haul flights but will pass on them in the future.”

• I always enjoy Sheratons perfect sleeper.
• See review.

“The Sheraton gateway sets are convenient to hare airport and a shuttle ride is able from the bus station at hare at door 3. It operates every 20 minutes. The rooms aren't luxurious, but are tasteful, most especially the bedroom. The plasma TV in the living room and bedroom is a nice plus. The Sheraton gateway sets prepared me a 0 balance receipt to more easily check out. I gave my key to the front desk and figured I was set to go. Later, I found out that Sheraton over charged me on incidental expenses that I did not use. Now I am waiting for a refund. Make sure you get a final print out of your folio when you check out and closely examine it.”

“I was delighted to stay at this Sheraton to find that it was quiet and non smoking areas were appreciated. Considering the proximity to the airport, it maintained the quietness and serene place to stay.”

• The location. Inaccessible from public transit and not accessible to services.

“The atrium design isn't one I care for; find it cold, loud and lacking in privacy. The rooms were comfortable and had more personality in the design and lighting than is typically true for hotel rooms.”

• "Non smoking" room stunk like cigarettes the whole time.

“We stayed one night (October 16, 2007) at this hotel. The only complaint I have is that the room was supposed to be non smoking but it certainly smelled otherwise. In addition when we turned on the air it smelled like stale smoke air was being pumped into the room. When we got home we had to wash all of our (unworn) clothes because of the stink.”

• I wanted a hotel near Midway not OHare so I was quite surprised by getting this hotel. It did all work out ok.

“The suite I used had two rooms. One in the front and office and a bedroom in the back with a king bed and a bathroom between the two. The room was most comfortable. The staff that I interacted with was very nice. That could be a problem. Also, I selected Midway area as my location so O'Hare was a surprise. Even though the price is good parking rates can be a bit of a surprise and outrageous. If you want, you can call me to talk to me.”

• Not much of a variety in food for room service.

• All rooms were suites. The king bed was beautiful. Two flat screen TV. Pool and Jacuzzi with 24 hour access.
• Taking the hotel shuttle to the train into the city took a long time, but traffic would have been bad too.

“This is a lovely hotel; very close to O'Hare airport. Rooms were beautifully decorated. We arrived very early from a red-eye flight to find the hotel fully booked from the night before. But they got us into a room in a couple hours, many hours before actual check-in time.”

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone that was staying close to the airport. It does not really have a good restaurant or bar but there are several within walking distance. The price for parking was I thought a little high since I was already staying at their hotel.”

“This was overall a fine, luxurious hotel. The view of the restaurant from the elevator and rooms was lovely. We enjoyed the suites after spending many trips in single rooms. Since our party of five was in two cars, we were especially unhappy, however, with the $12 parking. One reason we stay outside of town is to avoid such fees.”

• Confusion about shuttle from airport. I ended up waiting 40 minutes.

“Hotel was fine. Confusion about shuttle service: after 11pm you have to call them to get picked up, but they told me that the shuttle runs every 20 minutes, and no need to call. After I called, they came right away. Total waiting time about 40 minutes.”

• Rooms are beautiful, very comfortable.
• Promised me a non smoking room on the phone, problem when I checked-in.

“Sheraton gateway suite is an ex-embassy suites facility. As such, it has many of the wonderful features of Embassy Suites - large open atrium, spacious all suites rooms etc. Sheraton is doing a nice job with this property. Only problem is the front desk. Two times now, I've called to confirm ahead of time, and they promised me a non smoking room - only to show up (late at night) to find that we're all out of non smoking rooms. Aside from that disappointment (you just don't need that after a 4 hour trip) - it's a very nice, comfortable place.”

• The bed was super comfortable.
• It took me 5 calls to get someone to answer and send the shuttle bus.

“While I was happy with the friendliness of the staff, and the bed was excellent, the room layout was slightly odd and I had difficulty arranging for the shuttle when I first arrived. I wouldn't have enjoyed a long stay at this hotel, but it was very good for a single night layover.”
