“That Hilton is really meant for air travelers. And we were just trying to find a place in Chicago while visiting our daughter for a baby shower! Our floor carpeting was fine. But my sister who I got the other room for complained that the carpet was filthy in their hallway.”

- The room was very quiet, and the bed was incredibly soft.
- There is no lobby or place to meet, or wait till your room was ready.
“The hotel is very convenient for business travelers. It is right in the airport and the "L" (which runs all night) is also convenient to get in and out of Chicago. The room was very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The bathroom was very small. Travelers beware there is a $25 early check in fee for check in before 2pm.”

“Exceeded my expectations. Airport location is perfect, as you can walk to Terminal 2 or the subway. Rooms are modernized, with new bathrooms, bed and TV. I had a 10th floor window view of the planes landing, but was surprisingly quiet.”

- Toilet did not work, no drink machines in hotel worked.
“After checking into the hotel and getting the key to our room, we got the elevator to the 7th floor to find out that someone else was already in the room that they had given us. We had to haul all of our luggage back down to the front desk and get another room. Then we tried every floor in the hotel trying to get a drink from a drink machine. After giving up and ordering for room service, it took 1 and 1/2 hours for room service to deliver 2 cokes. Just before getting into bed, our toilet will not flush and we have to get a maintenance person to come and again we have to wait another 1/2 hour. This is not a hotel that I would want to stay in again.”

- Room service for $50 and terrible! Small bathroom, room service woke me up each morning even with do not disturb sign on door.

- Over priced all around, poor food and service. Needs more employees.
“Great spot if you need to be around O'Hare. I however commuted to the city daily via the train which took an hour to and hour and a half due to construction going on throughout the line. The room was decent, nice bed, nice TV, decent bathroom (although small). The restaurants are overpriced and horrible. $30 for a breakfast buffet? Please $12 a day for internet? Really?”

- It was very convenient to public transportation.
- It was too convenient to the airport if driving. I had to park remotely. Otherwise $45/day.
“The hotel was very well decorated and had excellent amenities such as full gym, multiple restaurants/bars, connected to the airport via tunnel, extra soft beds, plasma TV, and nice soap giveaways. Also, awesome view if staying in an odd-numbered hotel room. Odd numbers you can see planes taking off, landing, and the Chicago Skyline. Even-numbers you only see the airport and highway.”

- Parking cost, 45 bucks, small rooms, dirty tub/shower and room in need of repair.
“The hotel was a pain when it came to parking. You could park there for 45 dollars, which is outrageous so I had to drive an extra 5 miles down the road following confusing signs, to the economy parking lot, and take a shuttle back to the hotel to even check in. The tiles in the bathroom were dirty and looked to have never been scrubbed and the wall was pulling away from the floor in one corner of the room. Not sure what would cause that damage. The bed was comfortable, but for a 4 star hotel it was by far the worst one I have ever stayed.”

- The room was nice, but definitely not 4 star. It was small.
- Valet was full, had to park and walk 1/2 mile. Parking cost me $24!
“They have horrible parking. Valet was full and hotel had no bellhops I could find. Valet attendant instructed me to park in the airport parking structure. It was a 1/2 mile walk and cost me $24 to park there. They definitely have a parking problem. Room was clean and furnished nice, but by no means was a four star hotel. the room was very small and the bathroom so small you could not open the door all the way. It hit the toilet! Hotel restaurant was very pricey. $19 for a simple two egg breakfast, $4 for coffee.”

“The exercise room was outstanding, the pool area was designed for children which is alright but anybody was not playing. The available games in pool seemed like 5th wheel. When anyone entered the pool the families felt they had to get out of the way. The depth of pool was 3 & 4 feet with net over it for volley ball and other things to throw things at or in. The hot tub was nice but for an adult there alone that was all that was available. Great place for kids and parents tough the pool are. The rooms seemed real small. We had two double beds and barely room to walk in room and beds so tight against the wall that my husband apnea machine had nowhere to set by the available plug. I hated the huge alcohol keeper in the room, the space could have been better utilized. Big screen TV was nice. The easy car was very crowded on the one area they had it. The whole room had the squeezed in feeling. Climate control was great. The parking is a huge problem seems they should have an agreement with the airport for a much lower rate for one night or free parking for guest of the Hilton. That was really bad. Summer time is not bad to go to one of the out lots but winter would be brutal to find parking.”

- The room service food was truly awful!
“This hotel rates maximum on convenience. There is no convenience greater than a nice airport hotel when you are on an international trip. This hotel was clean, very nice rooms, and the TV was fantastic. The room service needs improvement as the food is very low quality. The staff was a nice welcome back to the US, with friendly and professional service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and plan to stay there again.”

- Repair and maintenance was poor; bathroom fixtures and fittings dated and bathtub barely drained at all, so you're left standing ankle-deep after a showed.
“The Hilton O'Hare is extremely convenient, being located directly across from Terminal 2 and easily accessible from all terminals via the tram system. You simply can't beat it's convenience; within 10 minutes of checking out of the hotel, we were checked in for our flight. The hotel is a bit dated now, but many rooms have been renovated. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.”

- No parking, no affordable food service. Inconvenient location. Thin walls. No free Internet in business center.
“It's location and amenities appeal to a very limited set of travelers. The hotel's casual dining restaurant was overpriced (about $14 for a salad) and there were no other nearby restaurants -- unless you took a tram to Terminal 5 in O'Hare airport and then there were only fast food options. The business center charged by the minute for internet service. The walls of the hotel were so thin that it sounded like people in adjacent rooms and the hall were in the room with you. It was very disconcerting to be in the bath and think you hear someone in your room! The isolation of the hotel (it is the only hotel located within O'Hare), the lack of affordable dining and the absence of convenient parking makes it a poor for most travelers.”

- It was very close to the airport so getting to O'Hare is a short walk.
- Food costs were excessive and you had to pay to use the fitness center.
“This is a typical airport hotel. The good news is that it is close to the airport. Costs for food were very high, rooms were basic, elevators were slow and the hotel needs a makeover. It's a business hotel, yet it lacked WiFi or other amenities a business traveler needs. They even charge to use the fitness center and a cup of coffee and juice cost about $14.”

- Luxurious, close proximity to hotel and mass transit system, clean.
- It was very cold in the room and hallways.

“This hotel worked perfectly for our needs, the grounds and rooms were meticulously clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, but we steered clear of the restaurant, just a bit too high for us.”

- It was clean.
- The noise level in the hall each morning from hotel staff was ridiculous.
“Housekeeping arrived on the floor each morning at 8:00 am. They constantly slammed doors for 30 minutes or so loading up their carts with supplies. The air conditioner never quite cooled the room off. The restaurant in the hotel was very overpriced for the quality of the food and the service was extremely slow.”

- The beds were very comfortable.
- The Housekeeping Service.
“We wee pleased with the hotel the first night of stay but after housekeeping came, things changed. My pajamas were on the bed which led to them being taken to laundry, never to be seen again. No reimbursement was offered by the hotel. Housekeeping also failed to replenish some needed items and after asking for them specifically with that department, they still were not delivered. Our view of Hilton Hotels was lowered after this visit.”
