• Easy to locate, the staff was great.
• Bed was made but the sheets was not dirty had hotel staff change. Toilet plugged.

“Although I had a few problems the hotel staff corrected them right away. I would recommened to hotel to Friends and Family. I was staying at the hotel for my son Graduation from Navy bootcamp, they provided a ride to and from the base, and direction to resturants and shopping centers in the area.”

• The staff was the most friendly and helpful that I have encountered in many years.

“The hotel itself was clean and well-kept. The staff, however, was the most friendly and helpful that I have encountered in many years. They went more than the extra mile to help us accomplish a couple of technical issues (printing documents from our laptop) and also helped us solve a couple of seemingly minor problems which many hotels would not have bothered with. All the while they were the most friendly and joyful staff in the world! I say this about both the evening staff on duty when we checked in and the morning staff on duty when we checked out, so it is a hotel-wide characteristic. When I return to Waukegan or the North Shore I will stay nowhere else!”

• Good set up of room. Indoor Pool. Free internet access.
• No microwave/refrigerator in room. Big gap between bottom of hotel room door and floor that let in air and noise.

• Big room for the price, great location, & staff.
• Small pool, breakfast hours are very limited during weekdays.

“Very close to great America & Gurnee mills, if traveling w/family it's in walking distance to wall-mart which is helpful for last minute needs or forgotten things! The room was spacious, fridge would've made the room excellent, good breakfast (need longer hours). The pool was a little small but refreshing. I would recommend for all types of travelers.”

• The outdoor gazebo was fantastic for playing cards with friends.
• The in-hotel breakfast was pricey for a small buffet with made to order eggs.

“I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The rooms were very nice; with real hair dryers (my wife liked that). The indoor pool was very nice, temperature about 85 degrees. The hot tub was even better and hot enough for me after a day walking around six flags. Speaking of six flags, it took only about 10-15 minutes to get there, and was pretty convenient. The hotel staff recommended an excellent local pizza place that was just what we wanted. The building surrounded a courtyard/garden kind of place, with some tables and a very nice gazebo that was great for playing cards at night. I can't say enough good about this hotel - it was a great experience. The only thing that we didn't like was the price of the breakfast buffet. I think it was about $10 for a small buffet, with made to order eggs. It didn't seem that they had much different than the normally free continental breakfast items, with the exception of the eggs. We went to a different place for breakfast instead.”

• Elevator smelled like dirty feet or shoes.

“I was apprehensive about out stay when I saw the picture of the room on the website. I was very pleasantly surprised when we got there. The decor wasn't outdated as it appeared on the website. The beds had lots of pillows. There was a small balcony w/a chair a table to enjoy coffee in the morning.”

• Excellent courtyard w/gazebo directly out from our room.
• Staff could not provide a local map w/hotel & restaurant locations.

“Very convenient local with clean, nice rooms & lots of pillows :) Loved the courtyard with the gazebo. Great location for Gurnee Mills, Six Flags, Navy Base. Lots to do & wonderful restaurants in the area. Highly recommend for family stays.”

“We were upset that the Hotel would not allow us to change from the 2 queen size bed room to a single king size bed room even though those rooms were available. You're customers need more info about the rooms before purchase is made and/or flexibility to make changes at the hotel when possible.”

• They have the most comfortable beds.
• They tried to charge me for things in the room after I checked out.

“The rooms are a very nice size, we were able to get a roll-away bed and still had plenty of room to move about. Each room has a balcony which is a plus, but the views leave something to be desired; ours overlooked the highway. There is a lot of construction going on around the hotel, a new Wal-Mart is being put in right across from the hotel. The indoor pool is on the small size, but is a great addition if you were staying with children. One thing I noticed is that it is a very quiet hotel, we stayed for three days and while the hotel parking lot was full, we did not notice any noise from the other rooms or hallways. The only real complaint I have is that the hotel charged me almost $30.00 in fees after I had checked out. When I called to find out why, they couldn't tell me what the charges were for, only that they would have them removed. Now I am sure this isn't something that happens often.”

• The hotel staff were amongst the most professional and customer service aware of any I have experienced in the past.
• Just make sure to place the 'Do not disturb' sign on your door if you plan on sleeping in.

“During our visit we received great service, a very clean environment, and a quiet stay. My wife and I will stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to visit the Chicago/Milwaukee area. Scott, the Hotel's GM, has done a great job at developing a service minded staff that is willing to go the extra mile (or two). Charles and Young were also a very big help.”

• The pool was too cold; the hot tub was way too hot, no fridge or microwave in room. Had to pay extra for breakfast, prices way too high!!

“It was an ok hotel, nothing special about it. For the price, breakfast should have been included. Price for breakfast was way too high. Our stay at the Residence Inn down the street was by far much better. Much nicer facilities, breakfast was super and included. We hope to stay at the Residence Inn on any future occasions.”

• Pretty atrium internet access in lobby- only 30 minutes though.
• No continental breakfast just coffee.- No fridge in room.

“It was tough coming here the night after the residence Inn. Our room was typical motel, a little too dark, no microwave or fridge, table or anywhere to eat with 2 hungry kids. But clean, pretty, with helpful staff.”

• Both the hotel and staff was nice.
• Because off no fault of mind I was unable to get to the hotel on my check in date and the officials was willing to allow me to stay for the third day.

“I have said it all. The one thing that I was not please with is that I paid for three days, but because of an incident with a plane at midway airport I had to spend the night in Atlanta therefore I paid for three days and allowed to stay for two which in up being a bad deal.”

“The hotel met my expectations, except for the difficulty in location. I find it hard to believe people would choose to stay there when traveling to Six Flags, Gurnee. Otherwise a nice place for the 3-star rating. Future construction around the hotel will provide the necessary off hotels needs, such as restaurants.”

• The decore and balcony were very nice.
• The location was a little too far away from everything.

“This hotel is very nice. It's clean and the rooms have balconies. However it is a bit far from anything (Six Flags, more restaurants, shopping, etc). Right next door to the hotel are three restuarants (Denny's, a chinese restaurant and a greek family restaurant).”
