• Classy, modern, great flat screen TV in rooms comfy bed.
• There was no swimming pool.

“Loved it! Would stay again. Sorry no swimming pool though. Loved the Modern decor, just minutes from the Bradley Center. We walked to the Bucks game, maybe a 7 minute walk. Great flat screens in the room and finally a shower with pressure!”

• Downtown location was good.

• The price I go the room for, the big bed, lots of pillows and it was very clean.
• The comforter was thin, another blanket would have been nice. (We checked the closet)

“The front desk was welcoming and very accommodating. The staff in the bar and Kilowatt were very professional. The hotel was within walking distance to bars and restaurants. Everything was hip and trendy so it made you feel like you were in New York City. We will recommend this hotel to others!”

• It was very nicely decorated and the room was large with a separate entry suite.
• No mini fridge, room didn't have all items we needed (like cups for the coffee).

“It's a nice hotel, but housekeeping was horrible. On our second morning, our room was left as is, with only the bed made. Trash was left, and surfaces in bathroom and main rooms were not cleaned, towels were not replaced. We asked the maid if she was done, she said yes. We asked desk for a second cleaning, and sheets were changed, but everything else was the same. Really disappointing for the type of hotel this is supposed to be.”

• Everything was nice and clean. Bar and restaurant were a lot of fun.

• Nice updated modern decor in room and facilities.
• Bathroom is very small. Used valet service and was shocked at what they charged me.

• Nice staff, impressive lobby, convenient location.
• Room is too small, ceiling too low.

“Recently remodeled however its still got that old feeling because of the room layout. Heavy Goose Down mattress tops plus 68 degree minimum room temperature makes me feel like sleeping on a toaster. Could use better bedding.”

• The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean.
• The parking price and parking spot availability.

“The hotel was nice overall. The beds were not very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking was terrible! We left the hotel to eat out and almost did not find a spot when we returned. We drove around in the lot for over a half hour before miraculously finding an open spot. Parking rates for hotel guests did not appear to be discounted.”

• The value is amazing, GORGEOUS, modern hotel. Great staff.
• Lobby smelled funny both times I've stayed, like urine (sorry).

“Hotel is gorgeous, very modern and not what I would expect from Milwaukee. Value is excellent, beds are SO comfortable, and TV is modern. Overall great experience.”

• The location was perfect.
• Small room, obvious updates were needed throughout the room, not that clean, no pool, staff unfriendly.

“I would not stay at this hotel again. I have been to other Intercontinental Hotels and this one falls short. The others were definitely 4-5 star this one not even close. The rooms are too small, not at all attractive, or overly clean.”

• The staff was great, the location was great, bed was comfy, and tons of pillows!
• TV could be mounted higher up in bedroom. (then again. not much TV. watching in such a great room!

“We would stay there again the next time we get to the city! the show at the past was great too. It was great having it attached to the motel, no having to walk out in the cold or wearing our heavy coats to the show. Staff was great too!”

• Outstanding location beautiful comfortable room, great beds.
• Expensive parking.

“Hotel is in excellent location in the entertainment hub of the city. Easy walking distance to most major attractions, lots of great restaurants and pubs right off the river walk. Rooms are classy, large, and comfortable with great beds. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel bar "clear" is a great gathering spot at night chocolate bar was a decadent fun surprise!”

• Hotel employees made several recommendations for restaurants that where excellent.
• Nothing.

• Very modern and located close to most of downtown Milwaukee.
• The bridge on their street is currently under construction. Also parking is expensive.

“This is a newly remodeled hotel that has really captured the look of a 21st century hotel. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, but the suite furniture was a little too modern stylish, but uncomfortable and not really practical. Two plasma screen TVs in the room and high end toiletries provided as well. Very trendy bars, restaurant which are also 4 star quality. The bar area has a late night chocolate bar. How fun!”

• Nice bed, wonderful linens.
• 2nd floor restaurant expensive and food not very good.

“Modern colors w/deco design -- dark brown, lime green, orange. Although not my personal choice, very bold. Hotel staff was a+; very friendly and helpful. They took the time to recommend restaurants nearby the hotel. Parking situation is horrible -- 4 story underground facility difficult to get in and out and the parking stalls are meant for compact cars, not extended cab pick-up trucks. Will stay in this hotel again upon return to Milwaukee.”

• The decor was stunning.
• The shower Curtin was moldy and they did not tidy up our room after the first night.

“Very modernistic and stylish. The rooms were well renovated with the exception of the shower/tub. It was older and the Curtin was moldy. I'm not extremely fussy, so it did not detract much from my overall experience.”

• $20 parking, restaurant service.

“The decor of the place was beautiful and our style and the bed were so comfortable. It was right downtown and walking distance to everything. The valet (although we did not use them) were very helpful directly us to were we wanted to go.”

• The modern decor, public art and the staff was very accommodating.
• When we walked in to register there was a "musty" odor, similar to the smell of a dirty mop, used to clean the floor?

“I would recommend the Intercontinental to anyone who is visiting Milwaukee. The surrounding area is loaded with beautiful architecture, river walk and the lakefront is only a leisurely stroll away!”

• The valet was slow and little pricy for the area. Also thought the shower supplies would be higher end for a 4 star hotel. Bathrooms were very small.

• No shuttle service.

“Rooms were very plain, worn furniture and lumpy pillows. Bathroom needed a good cleaning. Parking was $20 a day, very high since nearby ramp showed price of $10 day. Okay when needing a room to sleep in, but not a place Id enjoy spending time in the room otherwise. There was a musty smell in the halls. Fitness room was nice. More of a 2 or 3 star hotel, certainly not what I expect from a 4 star property. Staff was courteous.”

“I can not say enough about my experience at the intercontinental hotel. From the minute I walked into the lobby, I knew that my stay would be memorable. I am amazed at the attention to detail. Not only in the rooms but throughout the hotel. Couple this with the staff's friendliness and genuine concern about your comfort, and you can not wish for more. I have told many of my friends about the intercontinental and I hope that the next city that I travel to will have an intercontinental.”

• Attractive, luxurious, good food, friendly service.
• Not enough valet parking staff on duty, internet access too expensive.

“Nice large luxurious rooms with flat screen, high def TVs. Good food in bar and breakfast in restaurant. Bar closes a bit early during the week. Also, not enough valet parking staff on duty, especially on Sunday night. But staff that was present was very friendly and helpful. Overall very nice hotel for business travelers.”

• Modern, hip without being trendy, sufficiently upscale.
• Front desk staff was a little in love with themselves and the staff at the Zen lounge? Please.

“Other than the faster, this is my favorite Milwaukee hotel. While the faster is all things traditional and old, the intercontinental is young and modern. The staff at the Zen lounge, however, should be smacked. I'm from Chicago and if servers or bartenders ever behaved so dismissively here, they would be run out of town on a rail. I realize that the lounge is considered very hip, but seriously - it's Milwaukee, not Manhattan.”

“Great hotel for non-smokers. I felt mislead by the hotel and customer service person. I spoke to was not very helpful when I called to see what other arrangements could be made. My husband is a smoker and I go to great lengths to book smoking accommodation.”

• Bedding was very comfortable.
• Had a hard time with the temperature control in the room. Also, paying for high speed internet access.

“Very modern/well updated. Furnishings were very comfortable and high quality, felt luxurious. Loved the vibe in the lobby/bar area late night. Seemed comfortable and welcoming, yet upbeat. Biggest letdown was $10/day for high speed internet when so many other establishments seem to be trending towards free internet.”

• It was very clean, fabulously decorated, and a grand presence.
• The room doors slammed shut throughout the night waking me up every 45 min or so.

“Overall it is a good hotel. Staff was excellent. I did not get much sleep because of the way the room doors slammed shut. Anytime someone entered or exited their room on my floor, I heard and felt it.”

• It was a very clean, neat, professional, upscale hotel from the lobby to the rooms (including the lounges).
• The staff was not very friendly or accommodating and always seemed preoccupied even though there were plenty of staff members.

“The intercontinental Milwaukee is a beautiful hotel located in a wonderful area of Milwaukee. You can walk in any direction from the hotel and find plenty of restaurants, bars, and entertainment. The hotel is definitely upscale in terms of its appearance, amenities, and room accommodations - but the staff wasn't as accommodating (or as friendly) as you would expect for a hotel of this Nature. Regardless of the staff though, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• Very nice rooms & an excellent location for touring.
• Concierge service was a little slow - they seemed unfocused or overwhelmed.

“The intercontinental was an excellent hotel for our short weekend getaway. The beds were very comfortable, the room was modern, and the amenities were kept clean. For downtown Milwaukee touring (eating, night life) the location of the hotel is fabulous and we were able to park at a self-park which was $20/night and you could come and go as you pleased. Our only complaint was that the concierge services were moderately lacking. The employees seemed either overburdened or unfocused. They forgot to bring us the menu we asked for, didn't always know about the local attractions, and when we asked for directions they weren't always sure. ”
