“This is a very comfortable and modern looking hotel. The room we had was smallish, but very tall ceilings made it feel spacious. The bed is amazingly comfortable. Had all the amenities we needed!”

“Very nice room, great location near river walk, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel lobby, bar and restaurant area were very nicely decorated and laid out. Would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.”

• Small bathroom, no alarm clock, no fridge, pricey parking, had to pay for internet!

“TV system hard to navigate, and impossible to stop when I watched my free 4 minute music video, so I was charged over $15 for 2 minutes that I didn't even want to see. They took it off my bill when I complained, but the whole system was not user-friendly. Otherwise, the room was nice, loved the soft sheets and down comforter and variety of pillows on the king bed. Lobby was trendy and attractive.”

• Very clean, great location, lounge area very nice, comfortable bed.
• The pillows were way to fat and hard. Mine and husband's neck hurt the next day. Most hotels these days have very nice pillows.

“Very nice experience. Besides the pillows, the only complaint was there was no where to get a convenient cup of fresh coffee in the morning. I had to go to the restaurant and order a cup of coffee from the hostess, wait for it, was brought out on a tray with cream. Had to stand at hostess desk and fix coffee. Need coffee stand.”

• It had a great boutique feel and the staff was great. Location was great too.
• Cleanliness of the bathroom area was lacking. Mildew and dirt, as well as hair all over floor.

“Great location, friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful dining and bar areas, has the feel of a boutique hotel. The quality of the housekeeping staff was lack luster a 4 to 5 star hotel. When we arrived out bathroom had not been cleaned. Even after they had arrived to clean, the bathroom had mildew, etc in it.”

• Classy hotel, awesome location, we could walk to everything.
• The hotel staff promised 2 double beds and when we got there they had overbooked.

“The hotel was great. Clean and good customer service with the exception of a manager who blatantly insinuated that I was not telling the truth about calling 3 weeks previously and requesting a room with 2 double beds. The other desk clerk was very helpful and got an air mattress up to my room free of charge very quickly.”

• Nice hip and contemporary and 24 hour room service was great to have.
• The toiletry products were a bit cheap and generic. paying 20 bucks to self park seemed way too steep.

“Very friendly staff, and had a nice, hip, contemporary look to the place. Everything was clean, and they checked in with you after an hour or so upon arriving at your room to see how you satisfied with your room. I definitely would stay here again, though they charged 20 bucks to use their parking/shared ramp with other companies in the complex. Seemed to steep for this inconvenience.”

• Noisy neighbor on the second night/last night of our stay.

“Great hotel, great staff. Very nice rooms and the bar/lounge was great. The restaurant was very nice as well. The fitness room was well equipped for my liking, I enjoyed the sauna and steam rooms in the locker rooms. Overall a great place.”

“Lobby and bar area was elegant. Room was ok, it was showing its age, broken and dirty duct work, bathroom very small. Dark environment, need to lighten up the place a little, seem like a retirement home, expected better for 4 stars.”

• Loved the comfortable bed and pillows.
• Disappointed in that there was only one cup of coffee in the coffee maker.

“The hotel was lovely, decorated nicely and the bed was comfortable. I would like more coffee and possibly a place to keep my leftovers from dinner cold. The hotel was quite and it was easy to sleep. Overall I was impressed and would stay there again.”

• I did not like listening to our neighbors talk all night.

“The hotel was very nice and the staff was great. However, the walls at the hotel were paper thin and you could hear the neighbors talking all night. We also had some unexpected knocks on the door during the night.”

• There was no swimming pool.

“Loved it! Would stay again. Sorry no swimming pool though. Loved the Modern decor, just minutes from the Bradley Center. We walked to the Bucks game, maybe a 7 minute walk. Great flat screens in the room and finally a shower with pressure!”

• The price I go the room for, the big bed, lots of pillows and it was very clean.
• The comforter was thin, another blanket would have been nice. (We checked the closet)

“The front desk was welcoming and very accommodating. The staff in the bar and Kilowatt were very professional. The hotel was within walking distance to bars and restaurants. Everything was hip and trendy so it made you feel like you were in New York City. We will recommend this hotel to others!”

• It was very nicely decorated and the room was large with a separate entry suite.
• No mini fridge, room didn't have all items we needed (like cups for the coffee).

“It's a nice hotel, but housekeeping was horrible. On our second morning, our room was left as is, with only the bed made. Trash was left, and surfaces in bathroom and main rooms were not cleaned, towels were not replaced. We asked the maid if she was done, she said yes. We asked desk for a second cleaning, and sheets were changed, but everything else was the same. Really disappointing for the type of hotel this is supposed to be.”

• Everything was nice and clean. Bar and restaurant were a lot of fun.

• Bathroom is very small. Used valet service and was shocked at what they charged me.

• Room is too small, ceiling too low.

“Recently remodeled however its still got that old feeling because of the room layout. Heavy Goose Down mattress tops plus 68 degree minimum room temperature makes me feel like sleeping on a toaster. Could use better bedding.”

• The staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean.
• The parking price and parking spot availability.

“The hotel was nice overall. The beds were not very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking was terrible! We left the hotel to eat out and almost did not find a spot when we returned. We drove around in the lot for over a half hour before miraculously finding an open spot. Parking rates for hotel guests did not appear to be discounted.”

• The value is amazing, GORGEOUS, modern hotel. Great staff.
• Lobby smelled funny both times I've stayed, like urine (sorry).

“Hotel is gorgeous, very modern and not what I would expect from Milwaukee. Value is excellent, beds are SO comfortable, and TV is modern. Overall great experience.”

• The location was perfect.
• Small room, obvious updates were needed throughout the room, not that clean, no pool, staff unfriendly.

“I would not stay at this hotel again. I have been to other Intercontinental Hotels and this one falls short. The others were definitely 4-5 star this one not even close. The rooms are too small, not at all attractive, or overly clean.”

• The staff was great, the location was great, bed was comfy, and tons of pillows!
• TV could be mounted higher up in bedroom. (then again. not much TV. watching in such a great room!

“We would stay there again the next time we get to the city! the show at the past was great too. It was great having it attached to the motel, no having to walk out in the cold or wearing our heavy coats to the show. Staff was great too!”

“Hotel is in excellent location in the entertainment hub of the city. Easy walking distance to most major attractions, lots of great restaurants and pubs right off the river walk. Rooms are classy, large, and comfortable with great beds. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel bar "clear" is a great gathering spot at night chocolate bar was a decadent fun surprise!”

• Nothing.

• Very modern and located close to most of downtown Milwaukee.
• The bridge on their street is currently under construction. Also parking is expensive.

“This is a newly remodeled hotel that has really captured the look of a 21st century hotel. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on, but the suite furniture was a little too modern stylish, but uncomfortable and not really practical. Two plasma screen TVs in the room and high end toiletries provided as well. Very trendy bars, restaurant which are also 4 star quality. The bar area has a late night chocolate bar. How fun!”

• Nice bed, wonderful linens.
• 2nd floor restaurant expensive and food not very good.

“Modern colors w/deco design -- dark brown, lime green, orange. Although not my personal choice, very bold. Hotel staff was a+; very friendly and helpful. They took the time to recommend restaurants nearby the hotel. Parking situation is horrible -- 4 story underground facility difficult to get in and out and the parking stalls are meant for compact cars, not extended cab pick-up trucks. Will stay in this hotel again upon return to Milwaukee.”

• The decor was stunning.
• The shower Curtin was moldy and they did not tidy up our room after the first night.

“Very modernistic and stylish. The rooms were well renovated with the exception of the shower/tub. It was older and the Curtin was moldy. I'm not extremely fussy, so it did not detract much from my overall experience.”
