“It was a cheap room, and the facilities look like they haven't been updated since the 80’s, but so what? The bed was comfortable, the premises were clean, and there was free breakfast. The elevators were a little scary, but that's my only real complaint.” Jan 5, 2009 by
Jill from Delavan,WI
“Great location. We checked in at 3:00 and got a nice double bed room right away. Our friends tried to check in at 5:00 and had to wait an hour to get a room. The head housekeeper had the night off (new years eve) and didn't schedule enough housekeepers for the day is what we found out. Our room was clean and so close to The Riverside, t was perfect.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Katheryn from Chicago, IL
“Though this hotel is nothing fancy, I would absolutely stay here again. My husband and I wanted to be close to the Riverwalkdowntown area, and this is the only hotel we could afford. It is perfectly satisfactory but has no frills or fluff. The rooms are small and drably decorated, but clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous but did not go above and beyond. All long as you recognize beforehand that this is not a fancy, 4 star hotel, you will have a good time here and will be very close to many good sites and restaurants.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Amy from Madison, WY
“They let us in easily when the room was ready. The hotel was easy to find, close to the museum and pretty close to miller park and the zoo. Is close to the mall for eating and shopping. I would and will stay there again when I go back. Room was a little small, but it was okay. After all the room was for sleeping.” May 12, 2008 by
Scott from West Somerset, KY
“The hotel was fine considering the price and location. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. We had a few neighbors in adjacent rooms that left a lot to be desired, but overall the stay was alright.” Mar 6, 2008 by
Cynthia from Houghton, MI
“When we first got a key to our room someone was in there so we went to the desk and they assigned us another room.” Feb 13, 2008 by
Caitlin from Minocqua, WY
“Overall, this hotel was excellent. I got in late and was out early, but was just what I needed. I would definitely stay here on my next trip to Milwaukee and would recommend it to others.” Feb 4, 2008 by
Joe from Crestwood, IL
“The hotel is located in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee. They have a bar that serves food and drinks. They have parking that you have to pay separate for about a block away from the hotel. The hotel is very small and can use updating. If youre looking for a place Downtown at a good price I'm sure you could do much worse. I would go back!” Dec 27, 2007 by

“Easy access to airport, would like to see covered parking, very average room.” Dec 17, 2007 by
Alyssa from Manistique, MI
“The hotel was very good for the cheap price that we paid. Our friends stayed down the road at the Hyatt for 4 times the price and werent happy. We had everything we needed at ours. Perfect for travelers who dont know the area like us. We had the Mall, Bradly Center, and restaurants within walking distance. It felt like a safe area also. The bar down stairs was very friendly after the concert and food was great. Our waitress was very friendly and nice even though she was waiting on the whole place herself.” Sep 22, 2007 by
Eric from Hollywood, FL
“Hotel was small but nice, walking distance of theaters, bars and dinning, problem with parking facilities.” Aug 19, 2007 by
Annie from Chicago, IL
“Pretty much what we expected from the star rating old a little dreary in the halls but clean enough. A great location very close to transportation and shopping.” Jul 12, 2007 by
Brian from Alsip, IL
“Our room was not clean when we tried to check in at 6pm. Others were waiting for rooms also. Staff offered nothing.” May 8, 2007 by
Mark from Granite City, IL
“Great location and value.” Mar 4, 2007 by
Dan from Cottage Grove, MN
“Overall my experience was pretty good. Great location in downtown Milwaukee! I'm not sure where the mix-up happened, but I did not receive the room I paid for. When we arrived, our room had two beds. We wanted one. They were booked, but were able to get a one bed smoking room. Not too big of a deal, it worked out overall.” Jan 2, 2007 by
Stephanie from Minneapolis, MN
“Expecting a more upscale hotel, the attractiveness of the room left something to be desired.” Dec 31, 2006 by
Robert from Chicago, IL
“This was the first time I felt we had been assigned a "it" room: small, poorly cleaned. Public areas (halls, bathrooms, lobby) were dirty.” Dec 27, 2006 by
Evette from Zion, IL
“It was very old and dirty. The mattress was broken. When you sat on the bed it went flat. The windows were painted shut. Cigarette burns in the blankets. Just plan cheap and lousy. Star quality needs to be at a one star.” Dec 17, 2006 by
Jeffd from Shakopee, MN
“Clean no frills hotel, decoration is a bit outdated but seemed clean needless to say. Great location if youre doing something downtown.” Nov 22, 2006 by
Lorri from Wausau, WI
“For the price a great value. Excellent location to the downtown. I felt safe to walk. Could have staff that knew the area so they could give directions to the guests. I would stay there again.” Nov 10, 2006 by
Maggie
“Hotel location was great for walking to restaurants and shopping. It's obviously an older hotel, but was clean and quiet. Staff was helpful, but overwhelmed - many people needing assistance and only one clerk at front desk.” Nov 6, 2006 by
Nick from Cohasset, MN
“I don't spend time in the room except to sleep, when I am in Milwaukee.” Jul 12, 2006 by
Stoyan from Chicago, IL
“Nice location old hotel.” Jun 12, 2006 by
Jamie from Fort Wayne, IN
“Nice hotel in a good location in downtown Milwaukee. Typical rooms with small refrigerator and microwave in each room. Only problem was that they have no parking, so you have to park in a parking lot that is a block away from the hotel. The hotel staff was not able to help me understand the parking and we were ticketed. Fortunately they do have a number of customers who this happens to, so they took care of the ticket. There has got to be a better way to handle that situation before it ever comes to getting ticketed though. Overall though, the room was fine and we slept well.” May 16, 2006 by
Connie from Port Clinton, OH
“Nice location downtown if you don't mind walking some. Rooms are adequate. Seems to be always full so make preferred room reservations early.” Apr 5, 2006 by
Dan from Sparta, WI
“Overall not a bad experience. Value was great. Parking, as in most downtown areas, was a challenge. Location was difficult to find because of construction.” Mar 14, 2006 by
David from Lake Geneva, WI
“Liked everything about it but the pizza.” Mar 1, 2006 by
Nate from Madison, WI
“Hotel is clean and in a good location. It is a bit rundown. The parking situation is awful. The hotel rents an unpatrolled parking lot in the behind the building in a not-so-great area. They charge $10/day to park. On the day we visited, the parking lot was completely full due to an event, and people were parking in the aisles. Nobody said anything about this not being allowed, including the guy we paid for parking, and this was being done by many, many people. Unfortunately, this resulted in a parking ticket for a whopping $180! Hotel was not helpful after receiving the ticket and said there was nothing they could do. I would most likely stay at this hotel in the future, but I would not dream of parking here ever again.”
