• The concierge - friendly, patient and fully knowledgeable; I can't recall her name but exceptional esp. with my 10 yr old son.
• No pool or hot tub.

• The location is perfect, right downtown. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice view of the city.
• When it gets crowded, elevator access becomes increasingly difficult. It's frustrating to wait 5 minutes (or longer) for an elevator.

“We booked the Hyatt for our trip to Milwaukee to watch the Brewers/Cubs series. The location couldn't be much better as it's only a short walk to old world 3rd street, water street, the Riverwalk, and the Milwaukee Public Museum. The staff was friendly and attentive. My room was reasonably spacious and clean, with a view of the city out the window. The only complaint I have is that the elevators take quite awhile to arrive when there are many people trying to use them, such as in the morning. Like other downtown hotels, the stadium is just a short 15 minute drive away. I would definitely stay at the Hyatt again, it's a very nice hotel close to all the action in Milwaukee.”

• Very clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable.
• A little smoke smell to the room.

“It was nice and clean. They are going to remodel the entire hotel -at least new fabric, furniture and carpet. There was a display near the front that showed this. It was be nice when done. There weren't pancakes at the buffet. Disappointing for the children but not the adults. Nice place. $20 parking fee.”

• It was in a great location and the room was excellent. The staff was also friendly.
• Most 3 star hotels I have stayed at have free business centers and WIFI but at this one you had to pay, it cost us $6.00 to print a boarding pass.

“The staff was friendly but the bathroom was dirty. The whole place was in desperate need of a deep cleaning and a remodel. Parking is $20 a night, more if you come and go. I suggest parking at a garage near by they ran between $4 and $10.”

• Great location, secure rooms, etc.
• Slight problem with sink in our room upon checkout (backed up) but brought it to their attention and they were going to have it looked at ASAP.

• Dangerous street at night.

“We were in the town for one night to see a Brewers game. This hotel is just a short walk from the Rt.90 line that takes you straight to Miller Park for just two bucks! Would stay here again for the same purpose if I had too. Downside is that there wasn't a lot to see or do around the hotel and the dining options for lunch were minimal. Also I did not feel safe walking the neighborhood at night.”

“Very disappointing. Hyatt/Milwaukee used to be a great hotel. The room was small and old and uncomfortable, smelled a little of old mold/dankness. Just not what I expected.”

“Stayed two nights with my son while looking at colleges. There are some nice restaurants in the local area. Convenient bus service too. The hotel was fine but we used it as a base to sleep rather than using all the facilities on offer.”

• One of the towels in my room was dirty.

“Overall, my experience at the Hyatt was great. The check in/check out was very easy. The sports bar had good food/drink. The revolving restaurant at the top gave an awesome view of Milwaukee.”

• Great location. On street, metered parking nearby for those not wanting to pay to park in the ramp.
• If you would like to park in the ramp, it's pretty $.

“The room: The hotel room was very nice. It was obviously recently redecorated. There was a computer with a flat screen monitor, a large LCD TV in the living room and a smaller LCD TV in the bathroom. There was a nice sized desk for people working on business and a great vanity for ladies getting ready to go out. The bathroom came complete with a bathroom scale and large soaking tub. The room was clean, but the bathroom didn't look like it had been swept in a while. Location: Very convenient. However, Milwaukee is a big city with some crime issues, so I wouldn't recommend leaving anything in direct view in your car. There is some on street parking, should you not want to spend +$20 per day to park in the ramp. Miscellaneous: There are 3 glass elevators to get to guest rooms. I was on the 18th floor and, although I'm not usually afraid of heights, it did get a little scary after about floor 12. Also, at 2:30 AM, the fire alarms went on. That just about scared the life out of me. I would hope that's not a regular occurrence.”

“Nice location and nice bar, but lots of issues. Key did not work-had to have it rescanned twice. Was charged for 2 bottles of water in room at $4 each when there were actually none. No face towels or wash clothes when we arrived-had to request them. Took until 4:30 the following day to have room cleaned. Then the in room coffee was not replaced so no coffee on the second morning.”

“The location was excellent; we walked to the Old Third Ward area, took a shuttle to summerfest, walked around to several sites, including a river cruise. The hotel was very nice and welcoming, but there was a smell of cigarette smoke in our room.”

“I would never stay here again, the staff was rude, our check in was suppose to be 3 pm and we did not get our room until 4:30 pm. We went to the restaurant for a drink and never got waited on, the list goes on.”

• Waited forever for elevators, terrible room! 1 queen bed rather than king.

“Very disappointing. In the Bus Center, you had to pay for 10 minutes of internet access. Only $3, but really, that is annoying. Our room was very dirty, the air conditioning was inconsistent, and the cleaning service was sub par at best. Good hotel bar and location but that is about it. I travel a lot and see many hotels and this is not even close to a 3-star!”

• Parking fee $20.00 per day! Our room had no towels & shampoo - they did bring it when asked but skimpy amounts.

• The revolving penthouse restaurant.
• Needs updating in rooms and common areas and they will be renovating soon thankfully.

“Great location great Polaris restaurant (revolving restaurant with amazing views). The non smoking room had been smoked in, the hotel room and common areas and restaurant and bar were decorated from 20 years ago or so and are direly in need of renovation and updating -which will be done soon thankfully. Otherwise the hotel is fine.”

• The rooms were clean, comfortable, and stylish.
• The restaurant downstairs had a small selection and was overpriced.

“Overall the hotel is great. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel is well maintained. It has a nice modern feel, and great views of the city. However, the man we dealt with at the front desk seemed to have a very limited knowledge of the area. Also, all of the guides to the city are kept behind the counter, like they are rationing them. I felt uncomfortable asking for a bunch of brochures, so I didn't even get to browse through nearby attractions/activities. I've never seen a hotel do that before. So, if you don't know the area do your research first, and don't expect the staff or brochures to be of much help (since you can't even get to them). My only other complaints really involved the food. The complimentary coffee in the hallway tasted like burnt coffee grounds (but that's typical of Starbuck's coffee). Also, the restaurant downstairs cost more than room service and had a very tiny selection. The Polaris looked nice, but we didn't get a chance to visit during our stay, so I can't comment.”

• Biggest draw back is parking which cost $20 for overnight.

“Overall it was a good hotel, rooms were not very fancy but then again it wasn't a 5 star. The lobby and such made it look like a 5 star hotel. Overall the only draw back was the $20 parking fee which would have been worse had we moved the car and had to park again.”

• Nice bed.
• No coffee maker in each room, only provide free coffee in the morning on the hallway.

“It is my first time stay in Hyatt. I am a little bit disappointed with the old interior design and empty lobby. It seems not many people stay in this hotel, however, in the midnight, I heard a group of people talking loudly on the hall way. People who work there are not friendly enough with smile on their face.”

• I loved the location. I liked the lay out of the room, it was great for bringing pack and plays for the babies to sleep in without having to sacrifice.
• For the price, it was a bit dingy. I could tell it was clean, but very dingy.

“It was worth the price. The room was great, had a lot of space in the room, so it was great for us with 2 small children. It was pretty dingy though, things that should have been white, were very dingy in color.”
