• Charged for water we didn't drink, no towels, a coffee 2nd day.

“Nice location and nice bar, but lots of issues. Key did not work-had to have it rescanned twice. Was charged for 2 bottles of water in room at $4 each when there were actually none. No face towels or wash clothes when we arrived-had to request them. Took until 4:30 the following day to have room cleaned. Then the in room coffee was not replaced so no coffee on the second morning.”

• The rooms were clean, comfortable, and stylish.
• The restaurant downstairs had a small selection and was overpriced.

“Overall the hotel is great. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The hotel is well maintained. It has a nice modern feel, and great views of the city. However, the man we dealt with at the front desk seemed to have a very limited knowledge of the area. Also, all of the guides to the city are kept behind the counter, like they are rationing them. I felt uncomfortable asking for a bunch of brochures, so I didn't even get to browse through nearby attractions/activities. I've never seen a hotel do that before. So, if you don't know the area do your research first, and don't expect the staff or brochures to be of much help (since you can't even get to them). My only other complaints really involved the food. The complimentary coffee in the hallway tasted like burnt coffee grounds (but that's typical of Starbuck's coffee). Also, the restaurant downstairs cost more than room service and had a very tiny selection. The Polaris looked nice, but we didn't get a chance to visit during our stay, so I can't comment.”

• Hotel was beautiful and the rooms were nice as well.
• Biggest draw back is parking which cost $20 for overnight.

“Overall it was a good hotel, rooms were not very fancy but then again it wasn't a 5 star. The lobby and such made it look like a 5 star hotel. Overall the only draw back was the $20 parking fee which would have been worse had we moved the car and had to park again.”

• Nice bed.
• No coffee maker in each room, only provide free coffee in the morning on the hallway.

“It is my first time stay in Hyatt. I am a little bit disappointed with the old interior design and empty lobby. It seems not many people stay in this hotel, however, in the midnight, I heard a group of people talking loudly on the hall way. People who work there are not friendly enough with smile on their face.”

• I loved the location. I liked the lay out of the room, it was great for bringing pack and plays for the babies to sleep in without having to sacrifice.
• For the price, it was a bit dingy. I could tell it was clean, but very dingy.

“It was worth the price. The room was great, had a lot of space in the room, so it was great for us with 2 small children. It was pretty dingy though, things that should have been white, were very dingy in color.”

• Nothing we were redirected to Astor Hotel Milwaukee.
• Horror trip in haunted manor terror hotel.

“Personal at Hyatt was unable to manage the overbook situation. They directed to Astor Hotel. Was old, dirty no AC, antic, sticky etc. We had bugs and spiders in the bed. bathrooms. We did not use. Waited for next hotel. It was a shame for Hyatt. We will complain there directly. Wore hotel we ever had. (Astor).”

• The workout area was great.
• Paying an extra $20 for parking each night.

“On Saturday, night there was a prom going on and the music was very loud and even though we were on the fifth floor it sounded like the music was outside the door. With the open air in the middle the noise traveled everywhere and it was 12 midnight before the music ended. We had to be up for a VB tournament at 6:15 a.m.”

“This hotel is located in the heart of Milwaukee. The hotel is close to Symphony Hall, the Bradley Center and several excellent places to eat and to drink. "Old World" street is full of good German food and drink. The hotel is quiet and very professional. I cannot imagine anyone not feeling comfortable here.”

“We stayed at the Hyatt in Milwaukee. The staff was very friendly and we felt very welcome there. The surrounding area is clean and feels safe. It is only a short walk to the Riverwalk and to some great restaurants. The room and the common areas were very clean.”

• Location. The whole stay was wonderful.
• The parking cost for the car through a third party vendor.

“The hotel was in an excellent location for what we wanted to do while we were in Milwaukee. Hotel was clean and room was spacious. Light was out in bathroom. I made a call down to the desk and in 5 minutes or less they replaced the bulb. Quick service would stay there again.”

• It is excellently run, generally.
• Wireless is too expensive. Documentation in the room was lacking.

“This decent, if overpriced hotel. It is in a convenient Downtown location. Wireless is not free, nor is parking. They fell short on some of the documentation in the room, concerning wireless charges.”

• I made reservations for my friends and they transferred the rooms to their names, but when we got back to the hotel the 2nd night the hotel didn't re.

• The locations great and the Polaris restaurant is a neat place to eat at least once.
• The king size bed was not king at all. It was a queen size bed.

“The Hyatt Regency in Downtown Milwaukee is a very good hotel. It is ideally located: only 1 block from the Bradley center, near many restaurants, and only a few minutes from the lakefront and it's museums. The room was very nice. The only problem we had was with the bed. They stated that it was a king bed room, which we wanted. However, when we went to the room, we found out it was a queen size bed. Then when we both sat on the bed, the box spring frame broke because it was on the wrong sized frame. Unfortunately we were in a hurry and couldn't ask for a new room. After we told them about the problem when we were checking out, they apologized and offered a free breakfast for both of us. The Polaris restaurant on the top of the hotel is a very neat place. It is a rotating room that allows you to see all of Milwaukee.”

• Great location and ambience.
• Hotel staff was not knowledgeable about parking options. They only wanted to sell you their ramp, which was costly.

“Very nice stay. One tip: Overnight on-the-street parking is free. The staff insisted we'd be towed or ticketed, but this is just not true. We saved $40 by using the street.”

• We had my 80 year old parents with us, so being able to stay inside on a rainy day with a spectacular view of the city in Polaris was awesome.
• The bathrooms were sort of small.

“The hotel had very comfortable beds, quiet halls, and the entire facility was very, very clean. The staff helped provide whatever service they possibly could with a smile on their faces. We returned to Hyatt after staying there in the past. We were very happy we were sent to Hyatt. The restaurants were a bit pricey.”

• The glass elevators are a bit scary, but it was still quite fun!

• Hyatt is a really good outfit, although this one is lower end.
• 70s style lobby, kind of tacky.

“I generally love Hyatt, but this one is a little more run-down than you would expect from this brand. Still, the room was nice and the staff very friendly. Location is on the edge of downtown, but still convenient. Parking (at $20) was outrageous.”

• I liked the convenient location.
• No indoor (or outdoor for that matter) pool.

“Extremely conveniently located. Room was clean. No coffee-maker in room. Complimentary coffee in public areas until 11AM, no coffee available after 10pm. No pool available. In-hotel breakfast expensive. Plenty of restaurants, theatres, etc within walking distance of hotel. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff.”
