• Clean, fresh, good location.
• Parking was a bit of a hassle, but it was downtown.

“This hotel is confidently located in downtown Milwaukee. It is attached to the grand aver. Mall and about a mile from Marquette university. The rooms and common areas are newly up dated, clean and nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.”

• Great location In the center of Milwaukee yet peaceful.
• There are several hotels In the area that seemed nicer for not much more money.

“Nice being next to the mall but the grand avenue seems to be going down hill a bit. The pool area at the Marriott Is sub par. A fairy hotel overall at a competitive rate. Nice staff besides the grumpy "night guy." next time will spend more for a little nicer place. No regrets.”

“Very good hotel in a somewhat inconvenient downtown location. Road construction made getting in and out a nightmare. Attached to a somewhat dead shopping mall. Overall quality good. Comfortable bed, small, dated bathroom. Free wired high speed internet. Free in room coffee.”

• Location convenient, facilities and staff appropriate.
• Parking is expensive and disjointed access with car damaged twice!

“Good locations. Rooms are small but effective. Served breakfast but closed for anything else. Order in only. Parking close but unregulated properly, since the car was damaged in 2 places. Staff very helpful. Washing machine made noise, but needed two. Would stay again.”

“Excellent location, though be prepared to eat dinner early as there is not much in the way of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Rooms very clean. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone without reservation!”

• Very quiet and comfortable.
• The smell of the cleaning fluid was suffocating.

“The design of the room was excellent. The beds are far from the door so the hall noise is very minimal. The negative side is the smell; the smell of cleaning fluid is so strong in the hall ways that is hard to breath.”

• It has a great location to downtown shopping, restaurants and the best bars!
• Warning: it costs $15 to park in the hotel parking ramp!

“At first sight, the room was beautiful. However, looking closer we noticed that there was garbage still in the garbage can. We also had to call twice to get extra blankets and pillows. Room service never answered their phone.”

“My stay here was great. The decor of the room was nice and warm. I felt very comfortable here. Also, the fact that the hotel was connected to the grand avenue mall made my stay even more enjoyable. I was able to do the majority of my shopping and dining without having to go outside in the snow.”

• The mattresses.
• No king when we called and confirmed k, no smoking and didn¿t know.

“We were told we would get a king size bed but we did not, the hotel website stated all rooms had kitchenettes and we had just 2 beds, a TV and small desk (not unlike any 1 star hotel) but I must admit the mattresses were very comfortable.”

• The room was comfortable and well-decorated.
• The accommodations were not prepared correctly for our stay. Staff was disorganized.

“The accommodations are clean, stylish and comfortable. My only complaint was that although I booked the room for five people, we only received three sets of towels and had to argue to get a cot in the room. The phones were not working properly so I had to dial out to call the hotel desk. I was later charged for the calls. Nice location, generally friendly staff, less than great overall experience.”

• The Parking was easy access into the hotel.
• The room was dirty, crackers on the floor and the room stink like a old dirty ashtray and something covering it up.

“Arrival was good, entered the room to find out it stink. I was taking a quick shower before dinner and a man walked in the room after knocking 2 times Me yelling be their in a minute, he walked in and stared at me struggling to get my towel on. He was dropping of an air cleaner I told him to place it out side my door and I will get it later. Then as I began to open my suit case I started to find Crackers on the floor the room smelt like a old dirty ash tray and it was terrible. Then after eating dinner at Score down the street we came back and wanted to watch some TV the remote did not work. The front desk would not do anything. Every time we called they said they were sending someone they never did. It was a terrible stay and I Purchased Two rooms. I wasted a lot of money and I could of stayed else ware to get the kind of treatment I did. My Husband and my friends from out of town were very disappointed in this hotel and so was I.”

• Most comfortable hotel bed I've ever been in.
• The room seemed damp all the time

“The location is great. It's attached to the mall and across the street from a park which has a farmer's market mid-week. It is one of the only hotels in the city with a pool. The staff was very kind and very helpful (the cook even cut up a melon for me); however, the housekeeping for our room could have been a little better.”

• Interiors very tastefully designed and modern.
• The sheets were dirty with yellow marks.

“Prime location, well designed interiors, modern and artistic taste, good front desk. Only drawback was the dirty sheet. Yellow stains on the comforter showed that the were not changed regularly. I hope housekeeping makes note of this big problem.”

“Would've been a great review, but I was out on business during the day and when I returned in the evening I found the maids had left the door open (with it being propped open). This was a bit disconcerting as anyone could have taken my belongings for a 7 hour period. Although they were friendly, I didn't get the feeling that the front desk was particularly concerned.”

• The staff was excellent and provided some items that you might have left at home. LOCATION!
• The additional costs for Starbucks Coffee and the bottled water in the suite.

“My stay at Courtyard Marriott is pleasant. The location in being connected to the Grand Avenue Mall was excellent. There was a small, but nice pool. The rooms very compact and clean. I likes the free Internet access. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly.”

• Desk staff very rude and unaccommodating.

“Got there for a Thursday-Friday stay - desk staff woman was incredibly rude and this attitude came after waiting 10 minutes for her to stop talking to her boyfriend on her cell phone - nearly ruined our stay. Also, there is a ridiculously long walk from the parking garage to the elevators to the rooms and you have to walk through the main lobby to go from the garage to the elevators - very inconvenient. The $15 parking fee to park in downtown Milwaukee for one night was higher than parking in downtown Chicago - this hotel is one which you do not want to get a room from - stay at the Hyatt Regency in DT Milwaukee instead.”

“Connected to a mall, this hotel has everything one requires to work effectively: quiet clean rooms, access to room service and a short jaunt into the mall for other food options, free high speed internet, a friendly and efficient staff, lots of space and nice beds. Probably the top choice in Milwaukee from a bang for the buck perspective. Not glitzy and glamorous, has everything you'll need for a good night's sleep or for the road warrior.”

• We loved the location - right in the heart of the city, walking distance to many attractions!
• Having to pay the $12 overnight parking fee, the pool was somewhat small, and the access from the mall people through the hotel concerned us.
