• Small, cramped room.

“While the amenities in the lobby and restaurants are definitely 3.5 stars. The bathrooms are incredibly small and inconvenient as well, plus the fee to park was an additional 50% over our room rate. Not what was expected, no bargains here and not likely to use in the same area again.”

“We would not have stayed at this hotel for the normal price that they charge simply because it was too expensive for us. We were so happy to have our bid accepted. It was a nice hotel and the restaurant had very good breakfast.”

“The hotel was very accessible from the highway. There was a lot to do within a few blocks. The bedding was the most comfortable we have ever slept in at a hotel. When we checked in, the only available room had 2 twin beds and was a smoking room.”

• The bed was really comfortable.
• The air conditioning switch was not working. They are in the process of updating the rooms.

“It would have been nice to know that the parking was $24 dollars a night. maybe you should mention that on the price list for the hotel. The bus boys were very helpful. The engineers came right away and set the air conditioning for me. The hotel was very convenient for my sons wedding downtown.”

• Beds were comfy, quiet, plush towels, historic hotel.
• Expensive and unappetizing breakfast in cafe. Expensive parking.

was very quiet and comfortable. The only problem was the shower was walk-in and the water flowed out of the shower floor area making a wet mess on the floor. They need a long curtain that meets the floor to keep the water in.”

• Steakhouse was very good.
• Staff was extremely unfriendly. Staff made several mentions of our third party reservation and placed us in an undesirable room.

“This hotel could be a gem if it upgraded its rooms, refurbished its public spaces, and stopped treating guests with third party reservations like lepers. I am used to a much better product, and much friendlier staff, at Hilton hotels.”

• All the extra expenses! Parking, water, $40 charge on card without warning.

• The bedding was nice, comfortable and clean.
• They charged $24 to park our motorcycle in the deck and we arrived at 8:30pm and left at 10am the next day.

“Priceline option on the room was fabulous--great price. Downside was $24 to park at the hotel for a less than 24 hour stay; rooms very tiny (bathrooms were dinky!); breakfast was $38 (not including tip) for the two of us. Expensive stay. On a good note, itwas close proximity to whatever is going on downtown.”

• All the restaurants in the hotel are
  filthy and serve bad food.

“When staying at this hotel make sure to eat out! The food served in all their restaurants is horrible. The eating areas are very dirty. This hotel is OK but not the best Hilton I have stayed at. It is a very busy hotel so tend to get very noisy 24/7.”

• Nice rooms and downtown.
• Parking costs, pool not included, no extras, just fancy gold plating, all name and no show.

“This hotel was fancy but that's it. The pool (Paradise Landing Waterpark) is not included in your stay. You pay for the Hilton name and the fancy building. Which is neat, but would trade for free breakfast and WiFi and parking any day! No airport shuttle or transportation offered, most Sheraton's will shuttle you anywhere free of charge and do airport transportation. Just really did not impress me nor would I use again for downtown Milwaukee, shoot for the Hyatt or that Comfort Inn on Lake shore Drive.”

“The hotel itself is in a great location, but with the Hilton name you would expect a little more.
The car in the ramp next to me was broken into over the night, the toilet was plugged when we got to the room, there were ants in the room that the hotel staff had to come spray for, and the service in the bar was less than average.”

“Hotel felt very old - but in a good way. I liked how you felt you were stepping back in time. The rooms were a bit run down but nice enough. The corners on the floor looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a long time. I would stay here again.”
