• I did not like this hotel at all.
• Older property, hotel is in need of a facelift.

“This is an older hotel in need of work. I did not like the room which was in need of an update and when I called to confirm was told I could not have a smoking room even though one was available. I did get a smoking room when I checked in. I did not discover there was no toilet paper in the room until it was too late.”

• Staff was helpful, pool was bonus, room was clean.
• Parking lot needed plowing.

“Staff friendly and helpful, clean if standard rooms with coffee maker in them, indoor pool and whirlpool were spacious and clean. reasonable price for reusable room for weekend in Milwaukee, $30 plus fees.”

• The rooms older, a fight broke out on our floor, bath tub did not drain properly.

“Drapes wouldn't close, mattress had a thick plastic covering, like a shower curtain that was covered by a flat sheet that was loosely fitted and crunched every time you turned in bed, wallpaper coming off walls, tile coming off walls, no hot water pressure, need to run 5 minutes to get warm water, sink sprayed water all over and one of the pillows smelled strongly of urine and I was put in a room with a view of a brick wall 10 feet away.”

• Amenities were out of service and the staff was not friendly.

“This hotel met none of my expectations for a chain. So well known as the Ramada Inn. I would have left if the cost was refundable. I felt the hotel was not well kept and it misrepresented itself because none of the amenities of pool or sauna were available. The hotel was a dive. The lights in the hotel were dim. The towels were cheap. The rooms were in need of major renovation: cracks and leaks around the door frames and windows, large unsightly beads of chalk in places throughout the room and bathroom. The entrance to the lobby was not appealing: marble floors were dull and dingy looking, luggage carts were rusty and in disrepair; elevators were in need of work(rails missing). I am sure that this is not a franchise hotel, because the Ramada Inn chain would be disappointed in the site. ”

• The hotel was infested with low life customers that yelled and ran up and down hallways. The management was very unprofessional.

“I had rather sleep in the airport than sleep at this hotel. It was very bad. The management could not control the low life guests. They couldn't run their own computer system to even give you a receipt for incidentals. The restaurant is dirty. The room are old and worn out. This is one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I travel every week. I am not that picky. This is bad.”

• My room was clean and staff very competent and courteous.
• Seedy, pool area in disrepair, hooker in lobby, lobby dirty.

“I wouldn't take kids here, obviously. My room was in good shape and comfortable. The staff was kind and courteous. But its outward appearance was terrible. At 4 a.m. I ran into a hooker on her way down from a room. Obviously, they can't control all of that sort of thing, but it didn't help my impression. I wouldn't stay there again. Nice restaurants and other hotels in area.”

• The facility was in need of significant up keeping.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room had a lingering smell. The wall and fixed appliances like air conditioner needed painting. The halls were in need of a significant painting. The facility looked like a run down old not taken care of facility. ”

• The staff was very friendly. A repair to the bathroom sink was handled very rapidly.
• Problems with the bathroom sink hardware. Towels were of a quality of a lower class hotel.

“The location was very good. The staff was excellent including the restaurant servers. The quality of the linens, towels and wash cloths was not up to the quality of the other hotels.”

• Guest room was very dirty including bedding, bathroom and carpeting.

“We will never stay at another Ramada again. I have never been in such a filthy place. There was wet dirty towels still in the room from the previous guest. The bedding had hair in the sheets, the bathroom had hair in tub and sink area. The carpet was dirty and the wall paper was falling off the walls. We were very disappointed and the hotel did nothing to help us in our stay.”

“I would definitely not stay at this hotel again. The hallway to our room and the room itself were musty. The drapes were broken. The walls were dirty. The carpet was filthy. The wallpaper on the walls in the hallway was coming off. The hotel just seemed very old and outdated. It was rated a 2-star hotel; should definitely be rated 1-star.”

• This hotel was not what I expect of a Ramada. Thin sheets, no topsheet on one bed, etc.

“I was extremely disappointed in the upkeep of the hotel. Clean enough, but very much out of date. Pool door by elevator, water on floor and in elevator, broken elevator. Weird smell. Would not stay there again.”

• Fastest check in and very friendly counter people even though they are in the middle of a buy out.
• Nothing negative..altho we start thinking everyone ought ot have a little continental breakfast in the lobby.

“Nice place and a great price for a place to just lay our heads for 8 hours and then leave.They were the fastest check in I have ever had.ALl the paper work was there and it was fast.”

“In general, a nice place to stay. Good location, friendly folks, more than adequate parking. Only minor drawback was general interior maintenance. I don't mean big things - I mean little things. For example, a loose fixture in bathroom, minor wallpaper peeling, etc..”

• Hotel staff was friendly. Room had a balcony and the sink was outside the bathroom.
• The bedroom ceiling had water stains. Tub drained slowly. No free continental breakfast.

• The room was quiet, as was the air conditioning system.
• The place could use a good cleanup on the landscaping and a paint job overall.

“The Ramada Inn was convenient for my business needs, the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the place is a bit rundown and shabby. It could use a good scrubbing and some fresh paint, the hotels in the immediate area outshine it with their better maintenance.”

• The location offers varied avenues of access to the city.
• The hotel was indifferently staffed and maintained.

“This hotel had a number of significant problems which nearly surmounted any benefits gained by the reduced rate. There was much need for cosmetic (and some structural) repair in this none too gently aging building. The walls are thin and afford the visitor an excellent opportunity to hear the staccato banging of any neighboring headboards with great clarity. The charmless front desk staff seemed generally uninformed but resolutely sought to disguise this fact by offering little voluntary assistance. Evidently all involved take the "no frills" approach quite seriously and, to that end, succeed marvelously.”

“ There is obvious evidence that this is an aging building in need of general restoration. The walls are thin enough to admit sound from rooms above. Front desk staff were generally uninformed and not entirely helpful. We might consider staying here again if management had addressed some of these not insignificant problems.”

• A/c blew cool. Close by a lot of food places and gas stations.
• No access to a microwave or refrigerator. Pool could of been better.

“Overall this hotel was ok for the money I paid. I just didn't like the fact that there was no microwave or refrigerator. Clean place. Gas stations and food places really close. Cozy feel. Would probably stay there again for the price but, not a penny more.”

• It was quiet and our room was roomy for 3 adults.
• The level of cleanliness was not very high. Our window in our room was dirty and there were pizza boxes left in the hallway for a long time.

“This hotel was okay for a brief one night stay but I wouldn't necessarily want to return there. The room was okay, but the hallways and lobby floors were dirty, and the window in our room still had sticky fingerprints from the last guests. The person at the front desk was very helpful, though, so that was a definite positive.”

“The staff was not helpful, they wouldn't give us a luggage cart when we left because they were using it behind the front desk. Our bathtub drain didn't work, they promised to fix it, but didn't. They didn't clean our room at all, when I called to tell them, they said they were sold out and had no one to clean it!!!! It was a terrible experience and I hope that particular hotel goes under, they deserve to!!!! It was the worst hotel chain I've ever stayed at!!!”

• Cleanliness - i.e. filthy carpet; odors in room; poor maintenance

“Ramada Inn South in Milwaukee is in dire need of renovation(s). The carpets in the hallway and rooms were old and dirty. Our room had strong odor (probably from too many smokers.) I was not impressed with the friendliness (or lack there of) of the staff. Location is convenient with close proximity to airport and downtown. Although the price was right, I would not stay at this location again nor could I recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“The hotel was extremely old and needs serious remodeling, bugs were in the room, room not vacuumed, room wasnt cleaned in the evening, beds were hard as a rock, and the hotel check in clerk was very nasty and unfriendly. also, this hotel also was a party center for foreign people and had parties every night. this hotel was the dumps and i shouldnt have to have payed such a high price for that run down hotel.”

• A small fridge in the room would have been nice.

“Overall, my children and I enjoyed our stay at this Ramada Inn. We used the pool and whirlpool, watched TV and were able to relax. It had a restaurant within the hotel (however, we did not eat there), which is handy.”

• everything was breaking down.

“Showers run from ice cold to scalding hot. There is no consistency in the water pressure. The drains, sink and tub, would not drain all day. I called for some Draino and it clogged up again the next day. The carpets and bedsheets were not clean.”
