• Holiday times - Several attractive public spaces allowed us to socialize with small to medium size groups, also 24 hr free internet access helped!
• Sort of unfair, a boys hockey team was placed on 2nd floor, led to 1st, 2nd floor odor we noticed - maybe they could have been on higher floor.

“We really like this hotel for the holidays! - It is easy to find and central to many of our family and friends. The social spaces are beautifully decorated and adaptable - tables and chairs easy to move. The exercise and pool area are CLEAN and well-maintained. The staff is pleasant and attentive, and they serve a very good breakfast buffet.”

• Each staff even room clean person was best performance.
• Children running until midnight.

“Very good motivations staff has. Restaurant person very smooth fast too. This is spring break children was so noisy. In the room everyday I came, they clean perfectly. I tip $10. I will go back.”

• Very comfortable bed, clean room, nice furnishings, quiet.
• Getting to & from the hotel was scary. Very heavy traffic and had to pull out onto a busy highway that was on a blind curve.

“It was a very nice hotel & I would stay there again but we didn't feel comfortable getting off and on the highway.”

• Excellent bed.
• Needed more help at check in time.

“Fine hotel. Good bed as is typical. This hotel is difficult to find even when calling for directions. The side of the hotel facing the hotel is considerably louder (traffic). Request a room on the other side as we did the second night and you'll rest much better. At check-in the woman was swamped. Did her best but too much for one person to handle! A hot buffet breakfast available for $8 or 9 - wish it were free. Overall, good experience.”

• Rooms should have a little more pizzas & romance.

“Courtyard needs to have romantic packages such as candles being put in the room before guests arrive, rose petals on the bed along with a few other options.”

• Very clean, comfortable beds, refrigerator in room.
• No complimentary breakfast; one of the treadmills not working.

“Very clean, comfortable beds, quiet, pool area clean and well maintained, fitness center clean but one of the treadmills was not working. Staff friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Metro train station less than 10 minutes away. Would definitely stay there again.”

• Easy access to metro & Oakbrook shopping and dining.
• Access from road (howdy 83) confusing and limited.

• Only serves breakfast, and have to pay for it.

“The pool was great, staff friendly, room neat and clean and spacious. Refrigerator in room but not a freezer combo and no microwave in room.”

• The buffet breakfast, reasonably priced, great quality.
• Not the greatest location.

“The hotel was very clean; recently updated, buffet breakfast was great and very reasonably priced. The location was off busy expressway, not easy to get in and out of parking lot but had many restaurants and shopping areas near by.”

• All of the amenities one could need.
• Too much nearby traffic.

“Overall, this hotel was an excellent value. The pool, hot tub, and exercise room are nice. And the location is central to about everything in the Chicago area. My only suggestion is to avoid a room on the East side of the building. You get a sunny room in the morning and the traffic passing by on Route 83 is very loud.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• No air in hallway, no free breakfast, no lounge.

“The hotel had no air in hall on my floor. The ice was out also. There was no lounge or restaurant, except for breakfast (which was good). Traveling with kids it is nice to be able to relax after a long drive and not have to get back into the car to eat. It was adequate for the price I paid, if I had to pay full price I would be very disappointed.”

• Convenience to Metro train station to go into Chicago.
• Entry on access road is poorly marked; also needed directions to return to hotel from train station that did not involve driving for 3 mi on 1-way to.

“Convenient location to get into Chicago on Metro train or by car. Clean rooms. Hallways upstairs were hot, but they had fans moving air. Ice machine on 4th floor did not work at all. Breakfast was good; almost the same as the complimentary breakfasts at other Marriott's, but it cost about $8 for adults. Pool looked nice but no time to use it. I would stay there again if I got about the same price, and esp. if I wanted to go to the malls nearby or into the city by train.”

• Police came, rowdy teens/beer/noise, big group did not respect others.

“Physically very nice, clean, good employees. Lousy location, hard to get into/out of. Site of teens gathering. Some mechanical problems in room. Tube very hard to get out of. I broke the tub handle.”

“The staff was very courteous, extremely informative, and exceeded our expectations. The hotel was very clean, orderly, and very well stocked with supplies. It was our (family) first trip to the Chicago area and the staff was very helpful and took a lot of the stress out of traveling.”

• The staff was very nice. The fitness room and pool are were clean and inviting.
• No there was not breakfast for the guest; traveling with children you want to eat at your hotel.

“I felt this hotel was very good and I will use it again unless I locate a hotel with the same service and serves a free breakfast to their guest.”

• Super comfy bed. I liked the lightweight comforter instead of blanket.
• Clock radio only received a few stations.

“Comfortable, roomy room. Good location for my purposes, but can only access entrance by heading south on Rte. 83.”

• Under construction, hard to get around, messy lobby due to construction.

“I was disappointed with all of the construction mess in the lobby. Everything blocked off and tight corridors through the debris. I know they are trying to make the hotel nicer. The room was very nice, very clean with what looks like new sheets and comforters. Very comfortable pillows and not too noisy considering it was so near Ohare Airport. It is good for business travelers, but not for honeymooners like us.”
