• The bed and linens were awesome, as were the bath products.
• Bigger glasses needed for the citrus water located in the lobby.

• Service, staff was excellent until check out day.
• Didn't receive requested wake up call last day nor was room service late.

“The facility and location was excellent. As mentioned the service level and quality of food was excellent except on check out day...wake up call was 20 minutes late and the room service coffee was about 30 minutes late...other than the above I would recommend this property as an 8.”

• close proximity to the tollway, nice & clean
• Vending machines were out of common beverages (Pepsi & Iced Tea)

“Location was great. Hotel is a bit aged, but updated nicely. Pool on the roof had nice views, but hard to see because the protective panels were either dirty or pitted and hard to see through. Also, a hot tub would have been really nice. Staff was nice & helpful.”

• It's right next door to the Oak Brook Mall!!
• During busy dinner times, sometimes hard to find a parking spot due to restaurant next door.

“I have stayed at this hotel several times and love when I get it, as it is my favorite place to stay in Oak Brook. It is right by the mall, so there is lots of shopping and many restaurants to choose from (right next to the hotel is a Cheesecake Factory). The staff is always very friendly and the rooms are always clean. I love the Bath & Body lotions and shampoos that they have for use in the bath area. If your looking to shop, this couldn't be a better location!”

• Breakfast buffet was not adequate. Only 3 hot items.

“This is a great hotel for someone looking to stay in the Oak Brook/Downer's Grove area. Very convenient to many of the major corporate headquarters offices and right next to Oakbrook Center. I would highly recommend.”

• The room was very clean, the staff very friendly. We had a wake up call with coffee waiting at the door.

“The whole experience was wonderful. There was free parking right by the door, the staff all smiled and greeted us every time we saw one, and we were right next door to the Oak Brook Shopping Center. I could step out the door and go shopping within a few minutes. They had complimentary snacks in the bar, and with our wake up call, they had a newspaper and complimentary coffee waiting at our door. It was the best stay we have had in a long time. We were delighted! ”

“This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. The location is awesome, convenient to Chicago but in the suburbs, next to premier shopping mall and wonderful restaurants. Great value.”

• Had expected a 4 star hotel and it seemed 3 star - airconditioner didn't work correctly

“Good location next to mall and Cheesecake Factory - staff pleasant - breakfast good - good fitness center - rooms alittle spartan but nice and clean - no coffee makers in room which seems to be standard with any other hotel... however, coffee in lobby was better than typical room coffee. Morning paper delivered free. Other hotels in area provide FREE internet access but they charged $10/day for access.”

• Despite being a hotel with more than 30 years of service at the location, it was well maintained.
• The walls between the rooms are not well insulated and resulted in our complaints to the front desk about loud conduct at about midnight.

• Great location! Very friendly, accomodating staff. The exercise room and pool were very convenient as well as all of the other services.

• The location, service, large rooms
• It was too cool to use the rooftop pool and no inside pool or hot tub

“This is a very nice hotel, next to Oakbrook center and the Cheesecake Factory. Parking was easy and free and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would have liked a jacuzzi or hot tub and it was too cool to use the outdoor roof pool, but otherwise we'd stay there again and recommend it to friends.”

• It was elegant, spacious, and clean with all necessary amenities.
• The location was a bit inconvenient on the other side of a toll booth.

“The hotel was elegant, spacious, and clean. I received good service. Various amenities were available. The staff was helpful. There were only two minor problems. One was that my room was located near a club" whose entertainment sounds penetrated my space till midnight.”

• Didn't get the type of rooms we requested

“I requested two rooms with two queen beds and two non-smoking rooms. I got one room with one queen size bed (non-smoking), then 1 smoking room with 2 queen size beds. They tried to charge us when we left for a room we had already paid for.”

“Our stay at the Renaissance Oak Brook Hotel in Oak Brook was beautiful from the moment we stepped in to the entryway. It was elegantly decorated. Even the little neccesities in the bathroom were arranged beautifully.”

• It was convenient to the shopping, restaurants we enjoy. Would love this hotel in the summer due to the outdoor swimming pool.
• I would have preferred a regular room to the handicap.

“The service was very good, friendly and outgoing. The room was nice and we would like to try the Club 2100 restaurant and bar area on our next trip. The pool is attractive to us for the summer months and will hope to get this hotel again.”

• Easy to get to.
• VCR didn't work, couldn't get it fixed. No coffee in morning, had to call 3X.

“When we had a problem with the VCR in our room. A phone call to front desk wasn't enough. It was shift change and they forgot about us until we called back, 45 minutes later. Then no maintance on duty it couldn't be fixed. In the morning coffee was supposed to be delivered at 8:45AM, we didn't receive it untill we called 3 times (around 9:30AM).”

• The location was conveniently located adjacent to the Oakbrook mall.
• No coffeemaker. No indoor pool. Small pilllows. Small room.

“I felt I overbid this room. I expected an indoor pool and hot tub, a coffemaker, a hair dryer, a larger room with a large bathroom and nice bedding. But I have stayed in nicer rooms for less money than this one. And the restaurant was expensive for breakfast. I feel this hotel should be rated three stars.”

“Very nice hotel. Hard to find for sure, but worth the hunt. High-rise hotel with a nice view. Great Staff. Free parking in a safe location. They bring free coffee, tea, or hot chocolate to your door with your wake-up call in the morning. That was a delightful surprise. It's not anywhere near any attractions, but if you are in the neighborhood for business, it's a good bet.”

“This motel was amazing. Hot tea, coffee, or cocoa was delivered to your door each morning, if requested. The room was comfortable and really nice. I especially appreciated the lighted makeup mirror that was installed in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful.”
