“The location of this hotel was excellent and it was near the city, but you never would know that from the view. It was very private yet close to Oakbrook shopping center. We loved its location and would love to stay again sometime.”

• Parking was a hike, but they had valet, but the weather was nice, so not needed.

• The lodge atmosphere.
• Arrived
  at 11:55pm, no valet parking, dangerous.

“Overall, very attractive, clean and welcoming. I was disappointed when arrived for check in at 11:55 and was told the valet parkers were done for the night. I had to park my car done the hill, over the bridge and in a secluded parking lot. As a female traveling alone, I was quite disappointed that my safety was not a consideration, especially since the valet parkers were still there.”

• Mall is close by, staff was very friendly, its quiet and comfortable.
• The swimming pool was out of order due to renovation, they were not able to provide one king bed room and provided us with 2 bed room.

“Overall my experience at this hotel was very nice although I was disappointed to see the pool was being renovated. But they accommodated by giving us a complimentary card to use the pool at a nearby park district and arranged transportation. my stay was very nice. the room was clean and staff was very accommodating.”

“Outstanding! A hidden gem on the beautiful McDonald's corp campus - probably best for business traveler or adult couples although I did see some young families and it has a nice pool - Feels more like part of McDonald's corporate rather than a Hyatt - the sign outside simply says The Lodge and the building looks like the rest of the campus buildings - Frank Lloyd Wright style with low lines and lots of stone -Large modern clean rooms with great views - very quiet, with excellent staff - I would go back in an instant!”

“Hotel appears to be used primarily as a dormitory for McDonald's trainees so they sell off the unused rooms. The hotel was very quiet. Front desk help were extremely professional and helpful. On site restaurants were better than average. Great location, a little off the beaten path but still only minutes away from great shopping, dining, etc.”

• I liked the professionalism and the newly renovated and designed rooms.
• I did not like that we had to pay for use of the fitness center as well as per person and not per room.

“The hotel was wonderful. Its within minutes of two shopping malls and many nice restaurants. I love how the hotel is set apart in a nice woodsy area. The staff and promptness of service is also excellent. However, I did not like that there were no parking spaces at the main entrance. There were only a few spaces that were for valet parking. Also, the regular parking lot is at least a 3-5 minutes walk to the main entrance.”

“This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. It offers quiet park like settings, all in the heart of Chicago. The rooms were amazing complete w/soft pillow top bed, and upscale bathroom. I really want to come back here in the summer to enjoy the many outside trails/lakes.”

“Hyatt at McDonald's is a very nice hotel. The rooms are very clean and well decorated, and the staff is always willing to help. There is a little bit of walk to the hotel entrance from the parking lot, but it may have seemed that long because it was in the single digits when we stayed.”

“This hotel meets and far exceeds my expectations. I've stayed here many times. The rooms are large, very nicely decorated and very classy. The staff is very helpful. My favorite thing about the hotel is the location. There are other four star hotels in the area, but they're in mall parking lots. This hotel is in the very secluded McDonald's Corporate Headquarters. There's a great lagoon, trees outside every room I've stayed in and you feel very secure. It's amazing and I recommend everyone to stay there.”

• It has beautiful scenery with trees, lake, waterfall outside.
• A little noisy as only two floors and openeness.

“It was very nicely decorated inside and loved the view of the outside with lake, trees and trails. I would recommend it to family and friends and go back there if needing a place in the Oakbrook/Lombard area.”

• Huge pool/ whirlpool. Close to shopping.
• Hard to find. No refrigerator in room.

“Husband & I stayed for one night this last weekend & it was a good hotel. It is hard to find, luckily we had a GPS in car. The room was a nice size room with small baloney. Wished the room had Refrigerator & Microwave. You can hear a lot of noise coming from the hallway. Room & bathroom was very clean. There are several places to dine in the hotel. Beware: very pricey. Workout room was very large for a gym at a hotel but there is a charge of $8 a day per person to use it. Pool/whirlpool is huge! Very nice area. Looks like the grounds outside the hotel are beautiful to walk around but very wet & snowy when we were there so we did not get a chance to check it out. We valet park but there is a self- park pretty far from main entrance. Hotel is located less than a mile from Oak Brook Terrance Center and Dining. 20 minutes away from Woodsfield Mall.”

“The Hyatt Lodge is hidden within the McDonald's Hamburger University campus with a beautiful view over a lake and wooded area. Rooms are newly redecorated with flat screen TV, 2 desks, double-sink vanity and large closets. Hard to believe Oak Brook Mall and a busy expressway are just minutes away.”

• Parking is awful and you have to walk 2 blocks, to your car and valet is too expensive $12.00 per day.

“Hotel is beautiful with full amenities. I didn't dine at the restaurants, and the rooms were attractive. The parking situation should be reviewed for you must walk 2 blocks to your car or pay $123.00 per day for valet. If the weather is bad, this is a problem.”

• Although the front desk staff was friendly, the bellmen and valets were inefficient and unconcerned.

“Gorgeous views of a lake, the forest and a lodge like setting complete with roaring fireplace provided a relaxing respite. Although on the campus of the McDonald's Corporation, there were no blatant marketing attempts . The room was nice, albeit small; the marble shower was an unexpected amenity. I'd definitely stay here again.”

“Very nice staff. This hotel is no way
a 4-stars. Our 2-double bed room was a glorified college dorm room- 2 beds, 2 desks, 2 closets, 2 safes. The beds were small and hard (back aches for all of us in the morning). The carpeting was dirty and unravelling at edges and seams. Parking is comical, no good place to park to check in and if you don't want to spend $$ for valet parking, it's a nice hike to the parking lot. We travel to the area frequently, but will avoid this hotel.”

• Sheets on the beds were tucked in such that when you tried to use the bed the whole lot became loose.

• The grounds are breathtaking, and the pool is beautiful.
• The restaurants are expensive.

“We traveled with my sister and her family, and the hotel provided adjoining rooms. The beds are very comfortable. The paddleboat lake is beautiful, and the pool area is perfect. The service is excellent. When we asked for a smaller spoon to feed my year-old nephew, the waitress returned with a brand-new package of child-size utensils. If something is wrong with your stay, they make it a point to make it right.”
