• It was located very conveinient to what we wanted to do.
• The room and amenities were not up to a 3 1/2 star rating.

• Overall, it was a very nice hotel. The staff was helpful and whenever there was a problem it was taken care of immediately.
• Parking space was limited on the weekend.

“The lobby area was absolutely beautiful with the plants and live fish pond. The breakfast in the morning really made our day and was quite filling. The staff took care of any our concerns and were extremely helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for any type of traveler.”

• Loved the breakfasts and atrium area.
• The pool was so crowded over the weekend that my kids didn't want to swim because it was so overwhelming.

• The room had a big desk for all my paper work and a separate room to get away from all that paper work.
• Seemed to be a lot of children running up and down the hall ways during the evening.

• Very neat and scenic Atriums are beautiful. Very quiet and good for private time.
• It would be nice if hotel staff would offer clean comforter we all know those are barely washed.

“I felt that the staff put me in a lower quality room near the noise of the bar. Also, they checked me out early because I was caught in a snow storm and therefore had no luggage in the room in the morning. Good hotel, but poor staff!”

“Embassy suites in Lombard, ill is a beautiful hotel with inviting open areas and well appointed guest rooms. The made to order breakfast was awesome and truly one of the highlights of our stay. The weight room was a bit disappointing. Overall the stay was well worth it. We noticed many folks during our 4 night stay that annually come to stay at this hotel. That speaks volumes that people keep returning to this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone I know.”

• The sales manager greeting the guest during breakfast.

“Overall, I think Embassy suites is a great hotel, however I had some issues and concerns about the sales manager that were greeting guests as they were entering for breakfast. The rule of thumb at the hotel is to show your key when you want to come in for breakfast. As my daughter and I were coming in I was asked to show my key as a password to get in. As other guest was entering the hotel, they were not asked to show a key; therefore, I felt I was being singled out. He purposely walked away from the entrance into the breakfast area whenever he would see guest coming so he wouldn't ask certain guest show their key. I sat and watched him for a good 15 20 minutes and he never asked anyone else to show a key. I was very offended and insulted.”

• The ability to access the internet in the business center without a charge.
• The loveliness of the bedroom is in contrast with the dark drabness of the sitting room.

“This hotel continues to be a pleasure at which to stay. It is well-maintained, including the outside. The resident outdoor kitten is the unofficial doorman and a sweet sight to see.”

• The manager's reception is a nice feature as is the free breakfast, a way to save on the expense of traveling.
• Parents: control your children too much running.

“This is a very good hotel with friendly staff and shopping nearby, and nice maintained public area, I recommend they put a big sign around the street area otherwise customers will have problem to find it if they can't find the frontage road that connect to the hotel during night time check in.”

• Loud noise of kids running around occasionally.

“Spacious and open hotel with a beautiful atrium that is open on all 10 floors. The only negative is because the atrium is open to all floors; you can hear kids running around the halls even floor below or above you. But at least the rooms have a separate bedroom area that can be closed off totally blocks that noise.”

• The breakfast buffet is excellent.
• The bath drain was sluggish in emptying.

“We stayed in this hotel for only one night. The room was a suite with a two bed bedroom and an outer area that had a convertible couch that looked like it would turn into a bed that could accommodate two more people. The bathroom amenities were first class. The bathtub drain was a bit slow in emptying. The climate control worked very well. Altogether, this was a very comfortable and beautiful place to stay. We had to stand in line a little for breakfast, since there were many people taking their morning meal at that time. The food was abundant and fresh. The tables were kept very clean by the constant attentions of the serving staff. The dining area was terraced with a little artificial brook and waterfall, surrounded by lush vegetation. We did not feel rushed to leave. Overall, this was a very positive experience.”

• Magnificent view within the hotel. The breakfast buffet included in rate.
• The gal that checked us in was rude and matter-of-factly. Not helpful at all.

“I would recommend this hotel despite the one person who could have ruined my experience. The parking could have been better but overall a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. And shopping nearby could it get any better!”

“Hotel was clean, had a beautiful atrium that all rooms faced and a friendly staff. Rooms were full, two room suites and were well equipped with frig, microwave and had a door between living room and bedroom. The complimentary snack at night and breakfast in the morning (chef cooked omelets and French toast on request) was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning someday.”

• Location of elevators and entrance doors, no water available in vending.

“Nice hotel, nicer than most other embassy suites I have stayed at. Location of elevators impractical for rooms at other end of hotel, especially since it's on the opposite end of the breakfast area. Water unavailable in vending machines so we were forced to drink the bottle in room. Small store near front desk, but not open 24 hours. Great location near Yorktown mall; surrounding area has everything you could want for food and entertainment and shopping.”

• The large suits are a terrific break from most hotels. The made-to-order breakfast was fantastic.
• I always find it a bit annoying when hotels of this caliber charge for internet access.

“Embassy Suites has a fantastic floor plan both inside and outside the guest rooms. All rooms face inward on an enclosed park-like atrium which even includes a small stream complete with several Koi fish. The complimentary made-to-order breakfast is served in this wonderfully relaxing location. The guest suites are generous in both size and appointments. These suites are particularly convenient to those traveling on business with companions who wish to work while others of their party sleep or watch TV in another room. The sitting room also provides a terrific location to entertain others in private without inviting company into your bedroom. My single complaint is the modest charge for internet access. It's one of the few nickel-and-dime inconveniences in an otherwise excellent hotel.”

“The bathroom tub was clogged and running water out very slowly. I did complain to management and they said someone was going to come and look into the problem. A big wad of hair was on the bathroom bowl which was quite disgusting. I've had pleasant stays at Embassy Suites but this was not one!”

• Gorgeous lobby and rooms, fantastic free breakfast, pool/spa, convenient internet access, friendly helpful staff.
• It exceeded our expectations. Nothing wrong.

“This hotel exceeded our expectations. The suite was spacious and well appointed. Beds were comfortable. All was clean and in good working order. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with lush plants everywhere, water features and a little "river" with real fish in it (fun for kids to see). Gorgeous. Most free breakfasts are lousy. This was superb cooked to order by a friendly staff. The front desk people and concierge were friendly and helpful. The pool was gorgeous; hot tub, sauna, etc. The lobby was the best. The atrium let in natural light. It was a real joy to stay there. What a blessing!”

• I liked having a "living room" separate from the bedroom.
• There was a huge sopping wet spot on the carpet in the bedroom in front of the sink.

“Not as friendly as other 3-star hotels where my husband and I have stayed. There was no one at the door to help with bags. The hotel was a bit difficult to get to from the highway. We had to make an immediate left turn across 3 lanes of traffic to get to the street for the hotel.”

• The double room suite was well furnished, the 3 sinks most convenient, carpets and bedding immaculate.
• Entry lobby and seating areas were small and few.

“This was a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. Location was not near public transportation but close to toll way. Staff was friendly and efficient. Price was great!”

• The only thing I saw was sly some peeling paint in the pool area.

“This far exceeded my expectations! This suite was sweet in every way! Beautiful accommodations, friendly staff and lots of extras like complimentary drinks and full breakfast! It was great and I have nothing bad to say!”

• Room was spacious and clean.
• Shower was a little difficult to maneuver being in the whirlpool tub. Hard to step up into and the shower head didn't extend over the tub enough.

“Convenient location. Near a lot of eateries, movie theater, and the Oak Brook Mall is not far away. The room was spotlessly clean and organized. Lobby and reception area for Manager's reception and breakfast were nice. Breakfast was very much appreciated and drinks in the evening were nice. The only negative was that the snack mix was a little stale, not a biggie considering the overall stay. Would definitely stay again and would look forward to it.”

• Great lobby, perfect room set-up for traveling with small kids.
• The check-in clerk made us feel like second-class citizen because we got the room half-price.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel or return to it myself. The rooms are perfectly set up for traveling with young kids and it is easy access from the highway, with a very good brewery next door. We did not check-in until 5pm. The clerk told us that we got a smoking room. When I asked if it would be possible to get a non-smoking one, he told us that since we were only paying half price for the room, we could not be choosy. He really made us feel like we were second-class citizens.”

• Newly renovated room was perfect, new carpet, paint, appliances. Atrium was wonderful!
• Certain floors, areas under renovation. Obviously making significant improvements, but was not hardly noticed.

“Great location for easy access to many Chicago West suburban attractions, Oak Brook, many restaurants & mall across the street. Tailors Pub steps away served a fine pint. Atrium, which all rooms overlook, was an indoor botanical garden, well kept. Free breakfast was great, Omelets bar, fresh fruit, staff helpful, but crowded. Girl serving bacon was an adorable delight. Hotel making improvements, but not distracting and for the better. Pool was filled with kids mid morn, but adult swim at night. Outdoor pool patio was small, and squeezed in below a parking lot; a well intentioned afterthought using the last available few feet of property. Room was all new, roomy & comfortable. Pillows too squishy, but otherwise a great stay. Recommend nearby Papadeuxs for a great seafood dinner and fun entertainers.”
