• Rooms decor, size. Kg bed & mattress, staff above average and helpfulness friendly. Food the best.
• Did not have free shuttle to OHare airport. Had to pay someone. Need vending machine with beverages also on your floor. And micro-wave n room.

“Ive traveled domestically and internationally, yet this hotel facility is one of the best of size and decor of room. Continental breakfast rated high. Staff excelled in customer service and responding to the needs of their clientele. Will recommend others who will travel to Chicago. To venture out & come to Lombard.”

• Enjoyed the room design, wide screen TV, and quiet building structure.
• Shower stall (small and dark).

“We stayed only one night, but the Hyatt Lombard was very pleasant and we got a great deal. Quiet, nicely designed, and clean. We plan to stay there next time we visit, and will recommend it to friends. The only down side was low light in an average shower stall. Everything else was most comfortable.”

• Shower area was kind of dark.

“If you have not stayed at a Hyatt Place yet you need to do so! This was our first stay in it and honestly I would go back there in a heartbeat over even some 4 star hotels we have stayed at! The rooms are large and the beds comfortable. The 42" TV was a definite plus and I have never seen a larger or more comfortable couch in a hotel room before. The unique way they do their food service at this hotel was great; my wife had a pizza with asiago cheese and said it was delicious. It filled her up and the price was not out of line with any pizza place. Don't be fooled by the 2 1/2 stars these hotels get, they are better than that and you will not be disappointed!”

• The way the rooms were set up was really nice. The 42" plasma and free internet access was a nice touch.
• There wasn't a hot tub, so I was a little bumbed.

“Stayed at this hotel for my niece's wedding. My kids loved the pool because it was so big. Too bad there wasn't a hot tub. ”

• Totally non-smoking.
• Lack of useable closet space.

“If I was a smoker and had gotten this hotel I would have been very angry -- nothing prepared me for the total non-smoking policy. This policy was great for me but you may have customers who will have major issues when they arrive at the hotel and learn they cannot smoke -- especially in the dead of winter.”

• I liked its location and proximity to the expressway, to shopping and dining, and its friendly staff.
• The layout of the room was unusual. I was assigned a handicap-accessible room and found the room to be unusual in its layout.

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is only 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, and it is close to the expressway and O¿Hare airport.”

• Lack of outlets and computer access even at desk area!

“The phrase "form over function" comes to mind. The room looked beautiful, and in fact the bathroom and lavatory area were wonderful, as was the very attractive and comfortable living room, though the wide-screen TV was very poor quality. However, there was no power or phone line access -- though they provided a phone cable -- in the desk area. A big problem for the business traveler! The bed was so close to the air conditioner as to be difficult to edge past, the beds hard and the cooling system inadequate making the room stuffy. There was no info in the room or on TV about facilities, though there was a bar/snack counter as part of the main desk. The sole desk clerk walked us a through tour of the lobby/breakfast area while guests stood at the desk waiting for assistance! We won't plan to stay there again! We prefer the Homestead Suites in the area -- not high praise for the Hyatt!”

• Beautiful decor, clean, great room, big screen TV.
• Crowded conditions with continental breakfast.

“While we were there they were filming a training video, so the conditions were a little crowded in the lobby. But, the hotel has a beautiful lobby, the room was clean and had nice decor with a large screen HD TV, the staff there was friendly and helpful. We were thanked several times for staying there. The indoor pool was nice. The only complaint I would have is the free continental breakfast was worse than a cattle call. The facilities do no accommodate the number of people trying to eat breakfast. I do not really expect much from a free breakfast, but it was frustrating trying to get a spoon. Overall, my stay was nice and I would definitely stay there again.”

• Was unsure how breakfasts worked if I wanted something substantial...They had it , but didn't know how to take advantage.

“The hotel was easy to find with extremely convenient (free) parking. Wasn't there long enough to take advantage of everything, but having a coffee/wine/beer bar was great. Bed (most importantly) was comfortable.”

“Good location nice entry area, they are remodeling and when finished should be awesome. Was disappointed that not much gym equipment and no microwaves. Needs better maid service. They BARELY do anything because they "don't clean well until checkout" but they should do better!!!”

“The Hyatt was very attractive inside and outside of the room. My expectations were exceeded. The room was fairly new and in excellent shape. The staff was very helpful with directions around Chicago and the hotel shuttled us to the train stop and then picked us back up. This was a nice place to stay and visit the villages in between Lombard and Chicago by train.”

• Usually someone at front door of lobby to greet patrons throughout the day. Check in or out via Kiosk.
• Room not cleaned properly on 7/13. Tub not cleaned at all.

“I can't say enough about this hotel. I was well past what we expected. The buffet breakfast in the morning had hot food, not just coffee and donuts, hot eggs, sausage and make your waffles. Plenty of food. The rooms were large and very comfortable. We are hopeful to return there in the Spring. I would recommend this hotel to any one.”

• The bathroom had a towel from the privious guest on the door and behind the door the floor wasn't cleaned.

“I like the location, but the room wasn't cleaned properly and there were two families staying in the hotel so that there were 5 or 6 people staying in adjoining rooms. These people also took over the pool area and made our stay very unpleasent.”

• Very bad bad...Ridiculously hard. Worst hotel bed!

“Nice property. Great location. Bedding is cheap...and very very hard...so hard that it did not bend enough to provide necessary support for body contours...did not sleep well. I used to sell beds...probably the worst bedding I have ever slept on in a hotel...strong statement but true.”

• Breakfast did not start until 6:30--a bit late for those that may be going to O'hare

“Nice hotel, easy access from I-88. Close enough to O'hare that a shuttle would be a nice touch. The suite aspect is quite nice as well. Overall a good place to stay for a base for Chicago travel”

“We got the lowest priced room for our lowest price paid. It was across from the kitchen for the ballroom. Room quality was fine, but the location was not.”
