• Beds are exceptionally comfortable.
• Sometimes can hear noise from adjoining rooms.

“For the price, it can't be beat. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. Great flat screen television. Staff is always able to recommend nearby restaurants. Easy to find and very accessible. Clean, comfortable, and quiet.”

“It was a very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and the beds were so comfortable. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area. It was also very close to everything so it made it very easy to get to even though I was from out of town.”

• I love the location. The bedding was great and very comfortable room. Pool area very nice other than the noise from construction. Bar convenient.
• The staff was not very proactive. They were not that pleasant either and the Starbucks never had anyone working. You had to find someone.

“In fairness to the hotel. It is under construction in the lobby. There was loud noise all the time. Couldn't relax in the spa, etc but I'm sure it will be very nice when complete. It looked very updated and nice from what I saw by the time I left. I would definitely come back on my next trip.”

“I went here for a short honeymoon since I could not afford the fancy until next year, I was really happy with the room, the price I paid for it, and everything. Only that when I checked out they tried to charge me for services I had not used but everything got straightened out quickly.”

• Stains on the chair in the room; no free wifi; vomit on the walk near the front door.

“We mentioned the vomit on the front walk (right outside the main lobby door) to the woman at the desk at check in and she did absolutely nothing about it. Seemed unconcerned. For the level hotel this is trying to be, the cleanliness factor is very low.”

• The shower did not look like it had been cleaned well the vent in the shower hadn't been cleaned in months.

• I was disappointed there were no smoking rooms or indoor smoking areas.

• Very comfortable luxurious beds, nice pool to swim in.
• Hotel was older, our view was of another part of the roof, the hotel was on a more business like location rather than commercial.

“For an older hotel, very well taken care of, great beds and great staff. Coffee shop had very limited selection of morning pastries, but they were good. Pool was nice for the kids but very dark. Location was out of the way from commercial areas we were interested but not a far drive.”

“We shopped at wood field mall and this was an ideal location with restaurants nearby. Also we ordered pizza in and we were happy that this was allowed. Thankful liquor store and star bucks close. We had adjoining rooms and plan on staying here next year.”

• This hotel was very conveniently located near Woodsfield Mall. The staff was wonderful. I had a drink and ate dinner at the bar, very good.
• Can't think of a thing.

“I stayed here one night, and shopped at nearby Woodsfield Mall. The hotel staff was excellent, helpful, very friendly. The hotel room and lobby was well done, comfortable, and clean. Nice touches as complimentary water bottles in room, apple cider and cookies in lobby in afternoon, and citrus flavored water, croissants, cookies in the morning. The room had a coffee maker, and a nice desk set-up for a business traveler. I really enjoyed this hotel and would stay here again. The staff gave me a gift bag at check-out with a bottle of water, and granola bar, for the road. Nice touch.”

• Standard room was a little small.

“Loved almost everything about this hotel. Excellent service, good location, indoor pool, etc. Room was a little on the small side, but we didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room for it to matter. The King size bed was way too soft for me, but my wife loved it! Room was very clean, including carpet and shower grout, two things that almost always seem to have problems at a hotel. Even with hwy 290 right outside our window, this is a very quiet hotel. I would recommended it to anyone wanting to stay in Schaumburg!”

“The hotel personnel were very friendly and the location was great for a shopping weekend with the Woodsfield Mall and IKEA so close by. With Chicago only a 1/2 hour to an hour away, depending on traffic, one could make a day trip to enjoy the city.”

• Maybe being around the ice machine and at end of long hall.

“The things we didn't care for are because "you get what you pay for" and in this case we got a lot more than we paid for. We really liked our stay there.”

• The bed and the view are excellent.
• Lobby is not grand. Not very sound proof.

“Seems like newly renovated room. We are on the 14th floor, which has an excellent view. The bed is soft and comfortable. Sheets are clean. Washroom is bright and clean. However it is not very sound proof. We can hear whenever somebody pass by, especially guests in next room was playing games at 3am.”

• The representative at check in time was not very friendly--very slow.

“Overall, I thought the hotel was nice; however, I was disappointed when I checked in that the reservation did not included my request for double beds. I had to wait until they found me a room. What is the point in calling in advance if no one ensures that your request has been met.”

• Very close to shopping and a nice pool area.
• Our rooms were on the noisy ground floor in an old addition, not the nicer area of the hotel.

“Nice hotel with a nice pool area and comfortable rooms. Good location and relatively quite considering 294 is only 150 yards away. I could have spent the same for a 2.5 star and been at a hotel with free breakfast and some of those other benefits. But it was a fine hotel overall.”

“The Hotel's appearance was very nice both in and out. I was impressed with the polish of the place, both in the room and the foyer. I would highly recommend this to a business traveler or leisure traveler. The bed and the bedding was the best. Never had such a great nights sleep away from home.”

• Messed up the reservations.

“First, they gave us the wrong type of rooms, King beds instead of 2 doubles. When we changed the rooms, 1 reservation was lost so we only had 2 rooms when we paid for 3. The desk could not or would not fix the problem so money was spent on a room that we did not have use of.”

• The mattresses were pillow topped and VERY comfortable with down comforters..
• Would have enjoyed an offer of a continental breakfast.

“This Marriot provided excellent service. At no request from us, they upgraded our room. The hotel was clean, the mattresses were pillow topped with down comforters and the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on in a motel. The location to area shopping and restaurants were excellent as was access to the interstates.”

• The bedding was very appealing and had the most comfortable mattress and pillows I ever had in a motel.
• The shower needs to be separated from the sink and mirror so that two people can get ready at the same time.

“I thought that the motel was great!!! Location and comfort. I just didn't like how they charge you separate little fees for everything, like the coffee, bottled water, (that they have setting out) etc.”

• The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating, the breakfast buffet is excellent.
• The cost of wi-fi.

“Everything you need and more, even with very young kids, located in an easy to find spot near the mall and Ikea. The restaurant in the lobby is good and reasonable (especially the breakfast buffet) and the hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. For example, when I asked where I could use a microwave they offered to bring one to our room! I strongly recommend the Marriott Chicago in Schaumburg to anyone.”

• The bed was very comfortable. Parking was easy .
• The view wasn't great and the elevators were slow.

“The hotel is in a convenient location just off the highway, near shopping and restaurants. It's easy to get to the airport or downtown from here. I was concerned that there might be road noise, but the room I had, even facing the highway, was quiet.”
