“The rooms are large and definitely upscale. We had to move rooms but the staff was helpful and accommodating, they went out of their way to correct the problem.”

• The decor was nice.
• The room was musty, damp, small. Remodeling was going on. no ice.

“The room was decorated nicely but it was damp and musty. The air conditioner did not work properly. There was no continental breakfast. There was no ice machine or vending machines on our floor. Our floor was in the midst of a remodeling project. I would not stay here again.”

• Rooms and physical facilities are very nice.
• Feel nicked and dimmed to death here charge for internet cannot get a cart yourself have to tip bell boys, etc.

“Pretty, comfortable rooms hotel undergoing renovation so disruptive. Additionally internet is not free, and for almost anything you need a bellboy brings it so you are constantly tipping it getting it yourself is not an option.”

• The hotel is being remodeled. I love new facility out there.
• The swimming pool should always be clean. It was not.

“Perfect regardless of business or private trip. The hotel is working on update its facilities and interior to keep the latest standard. You will not be disappointed unless you use the swimming pool.”

• The room was comfortable and location was great.
• The remodeling was loud and there was a strong odor throughout the lobby from it.

“The hotel location is great. The staff was great. Our room was very nicely done and comfortable. The only issue in the room we had was with our iron which had black stuff on it that I didn't notice until after I had heated it up and put it on my clothes. The hallway was not as nice as the room and there was some construction on our floor that was noisy but fortunately didn't start until later in the morning. You could hear quite a bit of noise of other guests walking through the halls at night which was somewhat annoying. And then the worst was there was a bad smell from the remodeling in the lobby that made me sick to my stomach and I had to hold my breath whenever we walked out the back to the parking lot.”

• There was a mini-fridge in the room.
• Horrible check-in staff. They did not meet our request for an upper floor room, plus they were extremely rude.

“The check-in staff was horrible. Not one polite person did we encounter. They must not know the word "thank-you." Painters, carpenters, etc. were all over the hotel and the smell of paint was awful. They should have to completely close corridors where renovations are taking place. I was very disappointed in this hotel.”

• Helpful staff, able to get small refrigerator in room at request.
• Under construction, my floor on the side of shabby, no spa.

“When remodeling is complete the rest of the hotel will look as nice as the lobby. No buffet or free breakfast included. Nice spot outside to smoke, but no smoking rooms. Very convenient to shopping. I honestly expected a little more from a Hyatt. This one is only 4 floors and lacks amenities of other similar starred locations.”

• The eating was way to expensive! $11.00 for pancakes!

• It is somewhat dated but is being renovated.

“We love the location of this hotel because it near great shopping, multiple theaters, and wonderful restaurants. Although the hotel is somewhat dated, it's in the process of being renovated and should be a beautiful place when finished. The bathroom was a little small, but the room was spacious with enough chairs for us to relax comfortably. The bed was very comfortable and I liked the bed linens. It was a good experience altogether.”

• Didn't advise hotel under construction. Very noisy.

“They were doing room construction over the entire hotel. There was not a wing of the hotel that was quite. I went on this vacation as a Mother's day gift from my kids for peace and quite. I definitely did not find that at this hotel. Even though it was a weekend, the workers were there working on the hotel.”

• My bed and room amenities. (iron, hair dryer, coffee).
• I was charged for a phone call that did not even connect to my dialed destination.

“Hotel was under construction, so that took away from the aesthetic part of it. I was impressed with the lobby area. Very attractive with the grand piano and lounge surrounded by water. My bed was very nice. However, I really hated my view. Couldn't see anything, and the part that I could, was under construction. The bathrooms were pretty clean except for some dirt on the tiles. Room service ended at 11pm, and I think they should extend those hours. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience, and I may stay there again in the future. Very conveniently close to Woodsfield Mall, they also provide free transportation, and there is a avis rental car station next to the front desk.”

• The entrance is beautiful.
• The carpet in our room was nasty.

“The entrance to the hotel is beautiful but the room was gross. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant and for 1 order of pancakes, one order of French toast, one sausage wrap and 1 cup of coffee it was $60! Not worth the money at all! Very business traveler friendly. They had 2 pools and a hot tub and all three were closed.”

• The hotel was beautiful, pool was clean, exercise room was very nice, and rooms were clean /nice. Comfortable. No complaints.
• Maybe that the only ice machine we found was downstairs?

• Hotel lounge was closed and couldn't find a working ice machine.

“I have stayed at this particular hotel on many occasions and been pleased. However, they are currently doing some renovations and it's looking a little bit dingy. The Koi Pond in the lobby is usually an attractive feature, but it was partially shut down and portions were dry and portions were just dingy "still" water. Looked trashy. Overall it is looking a bit aged and the lounge is shut down and a temporary "bar" is located in the lobby which is not a comfortable place to relax. I am sure that once renovation is complete it will be a fine place to stay again.”

“We expected more of a three star hotel with the Hyatt name. Overall the beds were comfortable, yet room was small, no view. TV channels were sparse. Bathroom was very small, dirty floor, hair on ceiling and shower walls.”

• The bell woman was the best.
• It needs serious updating. I stuck to the carpet in my room.

“I would not stay at the property again unless it was totally renovated. The first room they put me in had such a strong smell of cigarettes and "spray to cover the smell" it was just wrong. They moved me to an "upgraded" room (it was the same room on another floor) and I stuck to the carpet, the bathroom was umber tiny, I had to put a towel on the chair because it was filthy, and I kept on falling into the pit in the bed. This place needs to be gut renovated; even the store in the lobby left this ugly hotel! Instead stay in the Renaissance across the highway, it is beautiful and a true 4 star hotel. This is more like a 2 star.”

• I cannot do it in 20 words or less.

“Changed rooms 3 times before getting an acceptable one. No water pressure in the first two made shower almost impossible, bad sewer gas odor, woke up by construction. Upon checking in (my daughter was with me) I was told I was checking out Saturday. I corrected her saying Friday and she said I was paid through Friday with a departure date of Saturday. Assuming I made an error, I went along with her date. When I returned to my room on Friday evening, after attending a family funeral, my key would not unlock my door. I was then told at the desk that I was to have checked out on Friday. I had to pay for that night. As I am disabled, I parked in a handicap spot. When I went to my car in the morning my spot wasn't even shoveled. I had to climb over what the plow shoved in front of my car. The parking lot was extremely slippery with ice and there was no salt for protection. All in all, my stay at that hotel was very, very poor.”

“The restaurant was awesome. I have never had such a fantastic meal. The chef was very nice and bought our dessert. The only complaint that I have as that there is only an outdoor hot tub and it is outside and closed for the winter.”

• The rooms need much work, too pricey for the atmosphere.

“This is not a typical Hyatt stay. You can tell that this did not used to be a Hyatt but that the Hyatt is now redoing much of the rooms. We had to switch rooms due the crack in the ceiling and the unevenness of the floor. The bathrooms were something you would find out a Motel 6 (and probably not as nice). The bed was in a awkward position to the rest of the room. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.”

• Nice location for shopping. We needed to switch rooms and the staff was very accommodating and even offered free breakfast.
• There was an odd (skunk like) odor in our room which worsened the longer we were there.

“Great hotel, but would have thought that a hotel of this caliber would have internet included. Stayed at a Howard Johnson in Jan. A few miles down the road that was just as clean, included breakfast and free internet.”

• It was quiet.
• The room was horrible.

“1) Staff was not friendly. 2) Room was cheap! 3) Broken iron. 4) Broken coffee pot. 5) Red message light on phone would not turn off. 6) Bed linens were cheap, not comfortable, and flimsy. There is no way this room should be rated a 3.”

“This is an excellently located hotel, adjacent to Woodsfield Mall and IKEA. Numerous shopping and dining opportunities near the hotel. Conveniently located right off the interstate. Hotel could use some remodeling in the rooms, especially in the bathrooms.”
