• The room was good, it had business center with printers, etc which is good.
• I had to call in advance and request for a microwave and fridge. I would expect that to be in the room by default for a 3 star hotel.

“Though I had to request for microwave and fridge, I was given with one on time. I appreciate that. But, for a 3 star I would expect that to be in the room. One of the hotel staff was very good in explaining me about the areas, routes, etc. Where as the other one wasn't of much help.”

• The room was very nice & roomy.
• That we had to pay for computer hook-up & no breakfast unless we purchased it.

• Clean ,convient and good area

“The staff was fiendly. The outside appearance of the hotel is very nice. I have friends in the area and this is very convient for us. I have stayed here before and so has my famly. I would sugest that you mske reservations as far in advance as possible.”

• The hotel staff was very courteous.
• Our toilet ran constantly, and the shower piping sounded like it was ready to explode. (Informed front desk at end of stay.)

“I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The pool, however, could have used some much needed help. It was very very green and hazy. Our daughter insisted on swimming in it, though. That evening, there was also a group of teenagers that were very poorly supervised in the pool. They were very rude and even splashed the adults who were watching their own children. I would recommend this hotel as long as you're not planning on swimming.”

• They made it a point to notice my toddler,thats 5stars for me.
• Snowed a lot they did not dry the floors till my husband almost slipped and fell.

“We got are room quick and with no problems. Our room was ready and in pretty good shape. There was some food like particles smashed up against the closet door and there was a little draft coming from the heater. There Pool was very warm and there was enough equipment in their workout area. My son and I woke up in the morning and went to have breakfast in their restaurant cause daddy was at work. My son wanted to go outside and play but he had no jacket and it was freezing. The chef was at the front desk and she was amazing she asked him if he wanted snow and walked outside made him a snowball and put it on brown paper so his hands wont get cold. The waitress was fantastic she cut the straw for my son without asking me and the chef brought out my food when it was done cooking so that my son could start eating. Mind you this was a breakfast buffet. It was fantastic service overall.”

• The bed was outstanding - pillow top king size bed was great.
• The TV was slow in reacting to the remote - frustrating.

“Hotel is located in the middle of the Woodfield shopping area. Good access to anything you want to go to. Facilities were nice, the bed was outstanding, the service was good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone - business or pleasure. Clean and enjoyable.”

• Location, room size, desk chair, coffee.
• Not having free internet. That made things unnecessarily inconvenient.

“Good coffee, big TV, clean rooms. Just enough space for us. Too bad they don't have free internet connections in the rooms. When possible I try to stay at hotels that have free Wi-Fi, and have come to expect it. Disappointed not to have had it here because it was the only down side.”

• Rooms were very quiet.
• No hot tub.

“This hotel is a little older, but still very clean outside and in. Room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was a little soft for my preference but acceptable. There was no fridge or microwave in room. Every employee I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful, especially the head of housekeeping. The location is nice as it is near numerous stores and restaurants in Schaumburg, but the hotel is a few streets off of the nearest main road to give you a bit of an escape from the busy world around you.”

• Early breakfast, in room flat screen TV, warm cookies, express check out.

“Friendly front desk staff ensured an easy and pleasant check-in experience. Room size was appropriate and bed comfort was good. Breakfast setting was large and spacious. Breakfast buffet was very good and service was wonderful. I would stay there again without question, especially with kids and it was close proximity to Woodsfield Mall.”

• The best part is how clean it was and how comfortable the beds are! We ordered room service and we were very impressed.
• There is nothing that we disliked.

• Hotel is nice, and the pool is open late, and the beds are very big.
• The shower/bath tub.

“The hotel is very nice and the associates are friendly. The pool is open longer compared to others in the area. The only flaw with my room was the bathroom shower/bath tub. The shower/bath tub had a very, slow drain, therefore every you take a shower the water would be over my ankles due to poor draining.”

• We loved the warm chocolate chip cookies that welcomed us and the smiling staff.
• The shower only had cold/luke warm water, no hot water.

“The positives of this hotel were:- We were welcomed to the hotel with warm chocolate chip cookies which was very welcoming and comforting. The hotel room and beds were comfortable and clean. The guy at the front desk was friendly and always had a smile. The negatives:- There wasn't any hot water for the shower, so we took cold showers both mornings. There was only enough coffee in the room to make two coffees, but there were four of us staying in the room. One elevator squeaked; it sounded like something was wrong with it. Our floor was being remodeled, so one night we could smell glue from the wallpaper that was stripped off the wall that afternoon. We could hear the family in adjoining room next to us very clearly. The guy at the front desk was very nice and always had a smile.”

“Although the general outward appearance of the hotel is mediocre, the rooms were very clean and well-kept. Recently renovated furnishing was also a plus. Too bad they charge you for internet access. We would stay there again.”

• The room was clean at arrival, the hotel was quiet and in a great location.
• They did not vacuum the floor or replenish the coffee for our second day stay.

“The front desk staff was very helpful in giving directions and printing out a map for us. The location was great. The room was decorated very nicely. The air conditioner seemed excessively noisy. The $9.95 charge per 24 hours of internet in the room seemed a little excessive, but you could get free internet if you sat in the lobby which had seating for 4-6 people. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• Smoking room smelled so bad!

“They gave us a smoking room. Asked for a non-smoking room. We then asked to have our room re-clean, sheets changed, trying to remove the smoke. They told us we had to leave the room for 1 hour and they would do this, it was not done at all! Asked the next day to have it done while we were out and it was not done again! I will not stay with Doubletree, Schaumburg again.”

“Staff was very friendly and professional, clean, neat and located well. Easy access to main roads yet secluded enough to not have a lot of congestion or noise from traffic. Would stay again anytime in the area.”

• No drapes just sheers, room bright at 5:30 AM no movie channels.

“Drive up has no parking for unloading luggage, hotel van has that space. Lobby and decor satisfactory. Rooms and abed good. TV system limited, only one movie free. Breakfast buffet above average. Breakfast servers friendly but for limited crowd not very attentive. Checkout, no issues.”

• Location for shopping at Woodsfield Mall was perfect.
• The hotel still has smoking rooms.

“Hotel was very nice. Very convenient to IKEA, Container Store, nice restaurants and Woodsfield Mall. My only complaint was that the hotel still has smoking rooms. And my experience is that you are probably going to get stuck with a smoking room and we did. The staff was quick to put a deodorizer in the room, which was nice of them, but it did not really affect the bad smell. Hopefully someday all hotel rooms will be non-smoking.”

• The room did not appear to be cleaned very well and one bed wasn't changed after 3 days.

“This comfortable and conveniently located hotel is a great place to stay for any traveler. It is located in a quiet spot, but there are many attractions, such as shopping a restaurant just a 5 minute drive away. The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone for a reasonable price. Free room internet access also is a plus.”

• Rooms and beds were very comfortable.
• Hotel much disorganized, front staff very under trained.

“Was told each time that a King nonsmoking was guaranteed. When I went to check in at 5:00 day of arrival there was one front desk person. There was one family ahead of ours. It took us 50 minutes to check in, and then told that I could only get a nonsmoking room. After asking for a manager, and checking to see if any rooms were clean, I was told that I couldn't check in for another 2 hours if I wanted a nonsmoking room.”

• I got a smoking room, and I didn't smoke.

“The front desk person gave me an occupied room, so when I went into the room, someone's luggage, clothing was there. It took more than 30 mins to reassign the room. I stood and waited for 30 min at front desk. It was unpleasure experience.”

• Lobby is tiny - would impact business get together.
