• Location for shopping at Woodsfield Mall was perfect.
• The hotel still has smoking rooms.

“Hotel was very nice. Very convenient to IKEA, Container Store, nice restaurants and Woodsfield Mall. My only complaint was that the hotel still has smoking rooms. And my experience is that you are probably going to get stuck with a smoking room and we did. The staff was quick to put a deodorizer in the room, which was nice of them, but it did not really affect the bad smell. Hopefully someday all hotel rooms will be non-smoking.”

• Good breakfast, nice work out equipment, convenient location.
• The room did not appear to be cleaned very well and one bed wasn't changed after 3 days.

“This comfortable and conveniently located hotel is a great place to stay for any traveler. It is located in a quiet spot, but there are many attractions, such as shopping a restaurant just a 5 minute drive away. The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone for a reasonable price. Free room internet access also is a plus.”

• Rooms and beds were very comfortable.
• Hotel much disorganized, front staff very under trained.

“Was told each time that a King nonsmoking was guaranteed. When I went to check in at 5:00 day of arrival there was one front desk person. There was one family ahead of ours. It took us 50 minutes to check in, and then told that I could only get a nonsmoking room. After asking for a manager, and checking to see if any rooms were clean, I was told that I couldn't check in for another 2 hours if I wanted a nonsmoking room.”

• The front desk staff wasn't as friendly as I anticipated them to be especially in an upscale hotel.

• Great coffee, comfortable mattress, and flat TV.
• I got a smoking room, and I didn't smoke.

“The front desk person gave me an occupied room, so when I went into the room, someone's luggage, clothing was there. It took more than 30 mins to reassign the room. I stood and waited for 30 min at front desk. It was unpleasure experience.”

• Lobby is tiny - would impact business get together.

“We checked in around 4 pm, we called more than once to get bath towels because we had only one bath towel in the bathroom, however till the day we left nothing done, the only excuse is the house keeper will get it in 30 minutes. The front desk staff in another instance failed to send extra pillow for a child joining us in the room, in spite of their promise to do so.”

• Very nice - comfortable bed.
• My only disappointment was that there was no whirlpool by the pool- it was a let down.

“I loved the atmosphere and the location. The only reason I would not recommend this hotel to others is the lack of a whirlpool by the pool. I was really looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub with my husband on our romantic getaway. I wanted to switch hotels only for that reason. Otherwise it was very nice.”

• Wonderful bedding, enjoyed the pool, good TV, convenient access.
• No free WIFI. In today's world, this seems like a given, especially at a 3 star.

• The outside looked old.

“The staff was very helpful and nice. The pool was small but adequate for my two children. The room was really nice and newly remodeled. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.”

• Staff was most helpful in a way.
• We had to pay an extra $10.00 a day on a five day stay for microwave and fridge.

“Over all our stay was very good. Only we had a five day stay, and the hotel charged an extra $10.00 a day for a fridge, and microwave. The staff is exceptional. My favorite thing was the warm cookies.”

• Overflowing garbage ran outside for 12 hrs.

“A terrific price on this nice hotel. My husband travels all over the country for business and was impressed with the room. Nice flat screen TV, new bedding and window treatments. Spacious bathroom with granite. Perfect for a couples weekend away!”

• Rooms--I have a lung condition and was required to sleep in smoking room! I was awake the whole night!

“Smoking room really smells--they dont even change the linens. They too small. Curtain has visible dust on it. Windows cant be open. Too bad that most other comparable hotels provide breakfast for this price while this hotel does not. Pool areas and entrance of the hotel is like 1960s. Too out fashioned. This hotel needs some face lift urgently.”

• No brochures of things to do in the area.

“My wife and I went to this hotel for a night away from the kids. It was about 150 miles away and it was worth the trip. There's lots of shopping and good places to eat in the area. The hotel is within a mile or two from the Wood field Mall and other places of interest.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful, gave us warm chocolate chip cookies on arrival.
• Nothing to complain about at all!

“The staff was friendly and helpful, greeting us pleasantly and giving us warm chocolate-chip cookies upon checking in. The room was nicely-appointed with large soft towels and good-quality toiletries. We slept-in on Saturday with a "do not disturb" sign on the door and the housekeeping staff left us a note offering clean towels or other services if we desired.”

• Very Clean, Nice in-room furnishings, friendly staff.
• I was surprised to find that the internet access was a $10 per day add on.

“This is a very nice, conveniently located hotel with good staff. I enjoyed my stay here. The only negative was the extra $10 cost per day for internet access in the rooms. Even the cheapest of hotels can offer free wireless in-room internet access. This was like a paper cut to me. Small issue, but it bugged me my whole stay.”

• Lengthy complex public transportation to downtown.

“Great for the price, friendly and nice staff, room and services were excellent, good location and decent proximity to downtown Chicago via personal vehicle, to avoid confusion would recommend personal transportation, also with personal transportation proximity and convenience to downtown area/attractions is not too difficult (practically interstate from door to downtown).”

• The bathtub needs to be replaced and pillows too soft.
