• The layout of the room was very comfortable.
• The staff.

“After I checked in, I went to my room. I noticed that the shampoo and soaps had citrus in them. I am deathly allergic to citrus. There was a member of the housekeeping staff in the hallway. I requested if there were any other soap that did not have citrus, because of my allergies. They said they would check for me. I went out with friends, then came back and had room service. The soaps were not changed. I could not shower or wash my face in the morning. When I mentioned this to the woman at the check out desk, she said there was nothing they could do because all the big name hotels carried the same kind of soaps with citrus. I informed her that she was incorrect. Many of the other big name hotels ask if the traveler has allergies and tries to accommodate them. She said, well you have a zero balance bill. Have a nice day. Then proceeded to wait on the next customer. The people with room service were more concerned about allergies than the front desk staff.”

• The pool area was nice and quiet.
• The beds were very small.

“The hotel was nicely located by the Morton Arboretum, but far from the other places we planned on going. We were doing some activities in Aurora. We had a double sweet as we had our kids with us, but the beds were more like twins- very small. We had to push the beds together and make 1 large bed to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids. The only real downfall was that the rooms window was so dirty you could hardly see out of them. We didn't know if it was sunny or cloudy outside!”

• The room was nice with a sitting area.
• The hot tub was under construction and not usable. This was very disappointing.

“The entry area was impressive, very modern and pleasing for business or leisure. The room had a sitting area that was separate from the bed and sleeping area, this was a nice feature. The hot tub was under construction which was disappointing. We had a problem with the remote, which the hotel staff quickly resolved. The service was very good.”

• The front desk staff was very professional!

“The front desk staff is great, the room was set up nicely, but the furniture is dated. The bathroom seemed a little small and patched up. The restaurant Chatfield's had great food but the service left something to be desired, like a smile from the wait staff. I would stay there again.”

• The size of the room was excellent.
• I am a non-smoker and got stuck with a smoking room. I think there should be an option somewhere to request a non-smoking room.

“Nice hotel. No one was really around if needed them. You would have to call to get someone. No one greeted me. Lots of construction going on around the outside. They need clear markings showing how to get in the parking lot. Rooms could use a small refrigerator and/or microwave. As soon as one who travels a lot those things are nice to have. Everything else, except getting stuck in a smoking room was fine. For a short stay I guess it was okay.”

• Luxurious, rooms had ample space for family of 4, good internet in room.
• Did not have any porters to help with luggage at 10 PM.

• No vending machines- bring your own snacks!

“This hotel was great for our needs! It was very convenient- located right off the interstate! The room was a small suite, which was great to have little extra room for our small kids. I literally wanted to pack the bed in my suitcase and take it home, it was that comfortable. There are no vending machines, only high priced candy bars and chips in the lobby, so bring your own snacks. Staff was very helpful!”

• The view outside the hotel was great!
• There was hair on our pillows and the sheets were stained!

“I expected better from the hotel. It is a gorgeous hotel, but the hair on our pillows and sink plus the fact that the sheets had faint black stains on them really made it seem like a cheap motel. We were up late because the room next door had a baby who was crying at 2 AM and we could hear it!”

“We arrived late at night with a toddler. Check in was very efficient and we had a great room. The lobby was very nice, the room was clean, nice television, very large and comfortable. We would certainly come here again.”

• The chairs in the lobby were not comfortable (short backs).

“Nice hotel, wood work in the guestrooms could use some updating. Exit from interstate 88 was a mess (not the hotel's flat). Over good 2 nights stay. I would return if in the area.”

• Our toilet overflowed all over the floor after a simple flush.

“I did enjoy my stay at Hyatt Lisle. The staff is very friendly; it's a great location easily accessible off the I-88. However, the room was not exactly up-to-par. It was clean and comfortable but in poor condition. Needs to be remodeled.”

• I liked the decor of the room and the way it was organized.
• I was wishing for the water to be softened and not to have to pay for watching TV. I also thought the pool could have been bigger.

“I enjoyed my stay very much. It was a bit challenging to get my luggage up to my room. In other words, the distance from where one parks one's car to the room was immense and it wasn't clear to me if I could just take one of the luggage carts and move my luggage more easily myself or if I had to pay a porter to do that for me. I loved the decor of the room, the big, plate glass windows, and the set-up of the room. The water was too hard. I would suggest they soften their water. There were lots of amenities, but I did not like that I really couldn't watch TV without paying an additional charge for it. I felt the hot tub water was too hot and the pool water was too cold. I also thought the pool would have been more enjoyable had it been bigger. Overall, it was a great stay though for a good price.”

“First day, pool was nasty, hair, dirt, bugs, no towels. Very busy though second day was a little better, hot tub tiles coming off and falling in the water along with glue, hair, fuzz's. And Luke warm. Also left DVD player in room and at first they were not sure if they would find it, had to call back next day and talk to room service mgr.”

“My friend got to the hotel first and they checked us both in and gave her the keys to my room at her request. I think my privacy was violated. What if she had been lying and we hadn't been friends.”

• Rooms were not sound proof, lots of noise late hours in hallways and other guests and neighbors.

“The hotel was very nice in appearance. The staff was helpful and courteous. But appearance is not everything, I got no sleep when it came to sleeping hours. Children and adults talked and ran the hall ways until the wee hours of the morning. I prefer quiet over appearances. Not good for sleeping.”

• This hotel has a shuttle to the Metro (train) making access to Chicago easy and overall less expensive.
• These rooms need a refrigerator.

“This is a nice hotel. For those vacationing in Chicago, the Hyatt Lisle is a great alternative to staying in the city. Convenient access to the Metro (train), free parking and a free shuttle make it a great way to save on hotel and transportation costs that you would have staying Downtown. It has a very nice restaurant and workout facility. Rooms are very clean, but the "queen" sized beds have somehow shrunk.”

• The bartender and van driver were nice.
• The desk clerk did not know how much a cab would cost from the hotel to our destination and told us inaccurate info about the hotel van.

“That desk clerk really was rather lazy, the van driver knew more about the shuttle and cab service than she did.”
