“The smell of the hotel was horrible from the moment we walked in the front door. The staff seemed unhappy to be there. We had to hold our breath in the hallway to our room because the smell was so awful. Our room was the worst Ive ever stayed in, there were clumps of hair all over the floor, the bed spread was also full of hair. We thought the pillow cases were dingy, but when we took them off we saw it was the pillows themselves, they were so yellow w/ stains that it showed through the pillowcases. When we asked for new pillows they were so lumpy you could barely sleep on them. In the cabinets were tons of food crumbs. Inside the dresser drawers were leftover items from the previous people including hair items full of more hair. The bathroom door and inside wall were filled with bugs and the floor was so dirty it was almost black. When we went downstairs for service we waited about 5-8 minutes and nobody ever came to the front desk, and that was after we opened the front door for the bell to go off alerting people we were there. We ended up cleaning up the hair off floor as well as the bathroom door and walls because it was literally making us ill. The condition of that room was unacceptable for even a motel or economy room. We stayed the next night in a hotel across the street owned by the same company and it was perfect.” Oct 1, 2007 by

“Overall very happy with this hotel. I would definitely recommend or stay with again in the future!” Oct 1, 2007 by
Wade from Chagrin Falls, OH
“No towels, no washcloths, no remote, no coffeemaker. Was told the hotel was full.” Sep 30, 2007 by
Suzanne from Muncie, IN
“This Is a basic hotel - clean and simply decorated. It has a small kitchenette with stove, sink, microwave, and fridge, and Iris, coffeemaker. It would be a nice hotel for a longer trip for those who do not want to spend an outrageous amount. We did not experience any problems while we were there and would stay again.” Sep 11, 2007 by
Marcie from Northbrook, IL
“I walked up to the front and there was a group of men standing outside the front door smoking and drinking beer. I walked in, a woman alone and had to wait 50 minutes for the desk clerk. I tried to ring the lobby phone to alert someone, but no one came. One of the men who were standing outside informed me that the desk clerk "was not really into his job and should be back soon". .” Aug 23, 2007 by
Angela from Crystal Lake, IL
“The rooms were like a hospital room. Very sterile and uncomfortable. The air-conditioner was extremely loud. The water smelled like dirt. I would not stay here again.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Chenita from Bellwood, IL
“The stay was o.k. I was not expecting one staff member to do so many tasks. We had to get our own towels. We had to clean our own rooms. It just seemed they were short staffed to me.” Jul 24, 2007 by
Ashok from Schaumburg, IL
“Great location. Right off I-90 in Schaumburg and just 2.5 miles from Woodsfield mall. Room was very clean and nicely furnished for a 2-star hotel.” Jul 24, 2007 by
Chris from Round Lake Beach, IL
“I find the accommodation perfect, suit my need as a traveler.” Jul 19, 2007 by
Tabitha from Pinckney, MI
“You get what you pay for! It was supposed to be 2star. I was very disappointed. The room was actually pretty clean; however, there were stains on the sheets and towels. We got in at 2 in the morning and there was no one there to check us in. Fortunately, we were able to find someone to ask for new sheets and towels, which we changed ourselves. It is nice to have the kitchenette, but there are no hotel amenities. Not even a hair dryer at the front desk like all other hotels. I will definitely stick to 2.5 stars next time so I don't get stuck in another one.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Larry from Muncie, IN
“Summary: Small 19" TV. No input jacks. No coffee mugs no face towels, Terrible pillows (flat as a pancake) and no extras at the desk.” Jun 12, 2007 by
Ramanathan from Forsyth, IL
“Nice hotel. Good for business travelers.” Jun 4, 2007 by
Mary B. from Munhall, PA
“It was just like any other extended stay property I've stayed at. The hotel staff left a lot to be desired, though. The kitchen was nice, though actually cooking something proved difficult, as our room was only provided with half the cookware/cutlery/dishes it was supposed to (I'm guessing that previous guests stole some of them and the hotel never replenished the supply). All-in-all, it was an okay stay. It definitely should be a 1 star, though, not a 2 star, imp.” May 30, 2007 by
Chandil from Rochester Hills, MI
“We lost our way while driving to this hotel and called to get the directions and I was shocked to see that my call was directed to the voice mail saying the normal business hours are between 6 am and 11pm - I was calling few minutes past mid night. I have never heard a hotel having limited number of business hours. Then I had to talk to the national support and they took my number saying someone will call me with in five minutes and that did not happen. I was at a total loss with my family in the car not knowing how to handle the situation. Finally I managed to find this place myself and all we wanted was a few hours of rest in that place to continue with our onward journey to Wisconsin.” Mar 29, 2007 by
Mehdi from Hoffman Estates, IL
“I think this hotel has a great location, good building just need to be more disciplined (cleaning the room timely every week, greeting the guests), I believe the thermosphere is more like a place to stay for a while as a temporary residence not like a formal hotel which you expect a timely by default good quality service.” Mar 15, 2007 by
Tim from Fort Wayne, IN
“The hotel offered to upgrade, at a price which later changed to a higher rate, had missing amenities, and a wireless service that charged for access, had the wrong information on printed sheets in the room, and even when contacting their customer support for 2 hours (off the number scratched on a note at the front desk) was still only able to stay connected for 5 minutes max. The evening staff could not speak English in but very limited ways (Where is the ice machine? no clue, found out later they did not have one). The last person we talked to there finally took the issues seriously - and to their credit for this one good employee - refunded the entire stay.” Feb 28, 2007 by
Matthew from Appleton, WI
“This is a basic hotel. Nothing fancy, but certainly not a dump. Just a basic, clean, regular hotel. The kitchen facilities in the rooms were very handy, but for shorter term stays, a continental breakfast option would have been nice. The staff seems hit or miss. Of the three people I spoke to, one was nice, one didn't seem to care, and one was difficult to communicate with. Overall, it was a decent stay and Iżd be more than willing to go again given the price.” Feb 20, 2007 by
Thomas from Calumet City, IL
“Great place for the price. I'd stay repeatedly for the rate I paid.” Jan 17, 2007 by

“If you want convenience and kitchen facilities, this is the place for you. If you want courteous prompt help from the staff, this is not the place for you. Be prepared to wait at least 10-15 minutes for any question you may have (extra washcloth, extra key, etc). ” Jul 22, 2006 by
Ferdinand from San Francisco, CA

“Staff was friendly. There were staff members training at the front desk when I arrived. The fire alarm went off and I walked to the front desk to see what happened and there was a male employee at the desk laughing saying one of the staff members burned some popcorn, so I thought that was not professional. The hotel was clean.” Hotel Representatives:
