• I like the fact the beds were comfortable and the convenience of the location was perfect.
• I understand the construction going on but the 2nd elevator was a little shaky going up and down.

“I don't travel much but thought this hotel was a good location. It had a nice a atmosphere and the hotel staff was very nice. I would love to come back again.”

• Nice room.
• Uneducated staff that questioned items that didnt make any sense.

“The manager of this hotel needs to train his people or get a new job. Did my keys wrong, argued with me about adding my priority club number to my reservation and then found out my number was in the system and gave no apology. Very unprofessional staff that you do not need to deal with after a 5 hour drive. This is my 3rd stay and every time there has been something simple screwed up that other Holiday Inns or chains seem to be able to get right.”

• The hotel room was very clean & well maintained.
• The staff downstairs were very rude & always on the phone having private conversation.

“The hotel was remodeling therefore it was very noisy & lobby was dirty, so was the elevator. The night staff was very rude & did not belong there. She was on the phone the 3 times I came downstairs because the room key wouldn't work. She refused to come upstairs & help saying she was the only one on duty. Looked like she was busy on the phone having a private discussion. I was not satisfied with her behavior.”

• Location was very accessible.
• It currently under construction. Lobby area very dirty.

“When construction is complete it will be a 2.5 or 3 star. Until then 1 to 2 star is where it should be.”

• The location of the hotel was very good for us.
• The lobby and breakfast area are currently under construction.

“The rooms at this hotel were very nice with a convenient set up. However, the lobby and breakfast area are currently under construction and that created a lot of dust. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• I felt very safe in a place; I wasn't at all familiar with, and was very comfortable too!
• Non-smoking rooms only.

• Location was close to shopping. Hotel was clean considering that they were remodeling.
• We were not given the room that we requested and then when they did put us in that room there was already someone in it.

“We are very considerate that the hotel was remodeling. The hotel was not dusty at all. In fact it was very clean. Rugs were soiled somewhat. Rusty hinges on the bathroom door, hallways had an odor, smoke alarm was hanging off the wall (after the room was painted was not re installed), furniture was scarred, elevator was scarred with huge scratches, requested 2 beds and did not receive 2 beds after being told no problem. Tiny holes in the sheets. It was almost like after things were remodeled the job of putting things back was not done very good.”

• Close to Woodfield Mall and IKEA.
• Not clean.

“Hotel was convenient to attractions. However the hotel is under construction. The room we were in had been partially remodeled. It had exposed light bulbs, holes in the walls, sawdust in the carpet. They probably shouldn't book these rooms if they are not finished. What was worse there were construction workers in the hallway early in the morning till early evening which with small children does not make you feel secure. Would not stay again. I think the other reports of bed bugs are true as we were itching most of the night!”

“If you won't mind not having an indoor pool, a great hotel. It's in an excellent location and is easy to get to. It's in the process of being remodeled and updated. Great improvements. Excellent continental breakfast!”

• The guest services staff, in particular, was most helpful during our stay.
• Construction was going on during our stay, but that fact did not detract much, except for some minor problems, such as dust in the hallway.

“There were bed bugs in the hotel. I was scratching my legs and hand all day for the 2 weeks I stayed there. My friend stayed over with me for few days and had the same complain.”

• Room was musty, windows don't open, no exhaust fan in bath, smelled smoky.

“This was the worst room that we have ever stayed in at this star level. The room was non-smoking but the room definitely was previously a smoking room. The carpet was dingy and the room smelled musty. This is because there is no window that opens or a vent in the bathroom. I spent a lot of time with my hotel room open to vent my room. The lobby was okay and breakfast was better than I expected. However, I couldn't sleep well in my dumpy room. We had 2 rooms and the second room smelled even worse!”

• Paint smell, dirty halls, missing light fixtures in room, dirty light switches, stepping over equipment to get in room.

“This hotel was renovating and I didn't enjoy having to be around their mess. Paint smells, light fixtures missing in the room, light switch covers that were dirty and stained, missing TV remote in room. They should not be subjecting guests to this kind of activity.”

• Great deluxe continental breakfast! Nice room.
• We were given a king size bed, but we had ordered 2 queen beds. Motel quickly fixed problem.

• The bed was very uncomfortable.

“I liked the hotel a lot. The only really bad thing was that the bed was very uncomfortable but the hotel is currently undergoing renovations (we stayed in an old-style room which was still very nice) so hopefully they will upgrade their beds!”

“We got two rooms, both were nonsmoking. One room was OK, but the other room smelled like someone was smoking there before. Anyway the environment was good, the free breakfast was excellent. And it is good for the price.”

• The staff were friendly and accommodating, bed was clean and comfortable, nice bath, and body Works bath items.
• The carpet in the room could have used a good shampooing.

“Our stay was OK, switched rooms when we got the dirty one without a problem. Breakfast was so-so, not great. I left my purse behind and had to made 6 phone calls to get it sent back (was transferred twice to someone who didn't speak English at all).”

• The beds were horrible. Too soft, no shape.

“We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was. The room was nice, they only down side was that the bed was so uncomfortable we had a hard time sleeping. It was so sunken in and soft, there was no comfort left at all. They really need to upgrade.”

• Eugene the desk clerk was outstanding through a tough situation.
• Because of severe weather conditions, the fire alarm kept going off, the elevators and Internet didn't work.

“Very nice and clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was conveniently located for shopping and close to the expressway for access to other locations. It was very quiet.”
