• This was our 55th wedding anniversary and when they heard that, they upgraded us to a suite and sent up a bottle of champagne.
• I prefer a shower head that is attached to a flexible hose.

“Beautiful setting, easily accessible, nice parking and unloading, excellent pool and very nice attached restaurant Super towels, nice closet and adjustable heating or cooling. Bedding and pillows were superb.”

• The lobby was clean and the people at the service desk were friendly and helpful.
• I can't say anything negative. I had a nice experience.

• Spiffy, cooperative staff.
• It is far away from the loop.

“Upscale hostelry located on I-88 with easy off, easy on access. Well appointed. Maintenance staff was very responsive to two minor problems. Great beds. Bar and lounge area was quite attractive with live piano music. Did not have occasion to dine at hotel.”

• The decor was great and the room was comfortable.
• Nothing.

“Inside and outside the appearance of the hotel was inviting. It is decorated very well. We enjoyed the complementary hot water and coffee in the lobby after returning from a day of sightseeing. Out room was large and comfortable. The staff very helpful. We had a delicious breakfast in restaurant and enjoyed the relaxing view. We didn't use the pool, but look forward to bringing our family .”

• The room was very spacious, king size bed & pullout sofa.
• Bed was horrible, bathrooms not the best and in need of repair.

“For convenience to the interstate/major thoroughfares, this hotel is great. However, the bed was awful (my back still hurts), the breakfast buffet was mediocre, and the thermostat in the room was difficult to control and maintain at a constant temperature. While the room looked nice upon first glance and was very spacious, I would not stay here again. The bed, breakfast, thermostat, and bathroom are all in need of upgrading.”

• Our room must have been on the nosiest hallway.

• Everyone we were in contact with was very helpful. Let us park close to the entrance short term.
• Our bathroom was very small good products to use, but small.

“This hotel was very nice. We were in a convenient location for getting to Oakbrook. We were late arriving but the staff at Allayer's let us order a light supper and were very pleasant while doing it. We will try to stay here again. It was easy in, easy out.”

“It was excellent, in a secure and clean area, convenient to highways and rail stations. We had pizza in the bar area, the staff happily set us up in a private area, since we had young children with us. The pizza was more economical than the dining room, especially because of the children, the late hour and the fact that we did not need a full meal.”

• Our room was upgraded to a king with a sofa bed when we asked.
• The hotel restaurant closed as we arrived 10:00 pm, we ate in the bar, very slow.

• The motel was very clean and it was so nice to stay right where the wedding was held
• It was wonderful.

“Our room has very clean and nicely decorated. It had a sofa and nice chair to relax in. The hall where the wedding reception was held was gorgeous. It was all very convienent and accomidating.”

• Internet in my room went down twice and I had to wait for service to come up to my room..It was annoying.

• Maid staff loud in hall and knocking on doors before 8am!

“This is a great hotel normally, but the maids and maintenance staff each morning stood out in the hallway talking loudly and knocking on doors at 7:30am, 7:45 am, etc! I'm sorry but if I were on vacation at this hotel, I wouldn't want to be disturbed before 8am! There is no reason for that.

Also, this hotel charges for internet usage - and only has dialup service. There is a $.75 charge for the first minute and $.10 for each additional minute - which is horrible if you need to use the internet -- and this is supposed to be a hotel where you can do business. These things were very disappointing!”

• Great front desk staff.
• There was a loud group that was never asked to be quiet.

“The hotel was almost perfect. The heater was a little loud and there was a large group that made a lot of noise well into the early morning that was never asked to be quiet. The only other thing was the shower head was to low, but all hotels are that way. Overall I would give the hotel a 9.5 out of 10.”
