• Having a restaurant in the hotel.
• This hotel did not have a hot tub or refrigerator in the room.

“This is an average hotel. The parking is a little inconvenient. The comforter was nice. They should add a hot tub. They should also add a refrigerator and small microwave to the room.”

• It was Labor Day weekend but to many young teens hanging around the entrance.

• No bottle of spray cleaner in exercise room.

“Holiday Inn Select Naperville is a clean, very comfortable 7 story hotel. It also has bars, restaurants, club quality gym equipment and nice indoor pool that is separated from rooms (not a noisy Holidome). Free WiFi is also available. There is no free breakfast.”

• Very comfortable beds, clean and
  quiet.

“The Holiday Inn Select is a 7 floor facility, and it was very clean, quiet and nice. It had extras such as a hair dryer, coffee maker, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quiet. There were large groups there during my stay (youth ball teams for tournaments) and I was not able to hear them. Very nice!”

• The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was so comfortable down comforters, cushy pillows I felt like I was at home .
• Honestly I cant think of anything I didn't like about the hotel.

• Hotel well maintained in the common areas, free fresh fruit, appealing decor and design.
• Toilet was constantly running, furniture in room was chipped, carpet in room stained.

“Common areas of the hotel were very nice, attractive decor and design, pleasant staff, exercise room, pool, complimentary fruit and coffee/tea. I was very happy with environment. The staff immediately replaced the coffeemaker in my room which did not work. While the room I was in was obviously not their best, it was still quite satisfactory.”

• Bathroom was not cleaned.

“I changed the room twice. In both the rooms bathroom had been recently used and towels were also used. Replaced on towel rack folded, but was visible wet and soiled. Was almost afraid to use any of the towels.”

• The bedding was luxurious and very comfortable.
• No table and chairs in room (there was a desk and an easy chair though).

“My husband and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The staff was friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Even though we had easy access to I-88, we heard no traffic noise. Very serene. Thank you hotel for making the last night of our vacation a wonderful experience!”

• Very clean and nice location.
• Construction was horrible, the exit was blocked getting off the highway.

“Extremely nice hotel, a very convenient location with many restaurants in Naperville. Construction was terrible and the exit getting off blocked the entry to hotel. It took a couple times of trial and error to find the best route to the hotel. Aside from the construction the hotel was very pleasant and I will return again.”

• Bed saggy; other guests loud and boisterous.

“Overall experience was ok. I like a solid, comfortable bed and pillows. My bed at this hotel was visibly concave and sagged when I was sleeping on it. Two boisterous groups also staying at the hotel were loud and disrespectful throughout the night, at midnight, 2:00 AM, 4:00 AM, and early in the AM. The staff of the hotel was friendly and the overall hotel was clean. I would hope to not stay at this hotel again, but rather one of the other 3 star hotels in the neighborhood.”

• The location was convenient to downtown Naperville.
• The bed was not very comfortable.

“The room was decent, but definitely not a 3 star. I would rate it 2 stars at most, although the bed I would give 1 star. I was quite disappointed when I walked in the room, and it was much lower quality than every other 3 star hotel.”

• The lobby was nice. No wait to check in or out. Staff was friendly.
• The room was smoky and bedspreads were covered in cigarette burns. No free breakfast. Bathroom was not updated.

“The room was very smoky and bedspreads were covered in cigarette burns, which was hilarious. My clothes smelled of smoke the next day. The bathroom had not been updated in several decades and the showerhead was very low (I'm 5'8" and I had to bend my knees a little to get under the showerhead). No free breakfast, which many competitors in that area offer. The lobby was nice, though, and the front desk people were friendly during check in and out. The free internet is nice. I did not use any other amenities, so cannot comment on them.”

• Room seemed in need of repair.

“The hotel was nice: small pool, fine exercise room, nice common areas. The room we were in seemed like it needed some attention. Carpet was coming up, little things that make you think the room is old or a little neglected. But our room was larger than I expected. The hotel was convenient to the expressway.”

“This hotel had terrible bar service. The bartender was expected to bartend and serve food. He told use right from the get-go that it would be awhile before he could take our order. It took over 20 minutes to get 2 drinks. The privacy/black-out curtains in the room had many tears in it. The hotel was shabby and in much need of updating.”

• There was a fire on Sunday morning in the kitchen. No provisions made for our inconvenience.

“There was a small fire in the kitchen on Sunday morning. We were awakened by a fire alarm. It was 47 degrees outside. Everyone was in pjs. Some people didnt have shoes on. It was a huge inconvenience and the hotel did not offer late check out to us or any way of showing concern for our inconvenience.”

• Great location. Lobby was very attractive.
• The bathroom was dirty (hair) and the floor was very, very sticky.

“All in all, it was a fair experience. I couldn't walk in the bathroom without shoes on because my feet would stick to the floor. The bathroom was not clean at all. The tub soap dish was dirty and there was quite a bit of hair. We asked the person who checked us in to give us an estimated amount of time it would take to get to our destination in the morning. At first, he estimated 2 hours which seemed completely outrageous to us. He shortened it to an hour. It only took 25 minutes. It would have been more helpful for him to just say he didn't know then we might have been able to get correct info.”

• Sheets were like gauze, blanket sleazy, pillows lumpy.

• Bed was not that comfortable, pipes in the bathroom were really loud.

“We enjoy staying in this hotels. The beds aren't that fantastic, but better than cheap hotels. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Our room this time had awful pipes in the bathroom. Every time we flushed the toilet, it made an ear piercing squeak throughout the wall! It was terrible. However, the rest of our stay was pleasant and we will stay here again.”
