“The hotel address for this hotel does not match where it is.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Judith, A. from Brookshire, TX
“We were traveling with 5 grandkids to meet our son half way. He lives in North Carolina and we live in Texas. We were taking his kids back to him after a summer visit. I chose a 2 and a half star hotel. I didn't expect luxury, but I did expect something decent and clean. The first rooms we got only had one bed each - for 4 adults and 5 kids? They charged us extra for 2 more rooms with double beds. The next 2 rooms the air conditioners were not working very well, the rooms were hot and the AC was already on high. The next 2 rooms, one had a HUGE hole in the floor under the carpet the other room smelled very badly like mildew. When I called the front desk we were told "just don't let the kids walk where the hole is at". After some rude words, they finally switched us to another room, except it was on a different floor. We specifically told them we wanted the rooms together. After switching rooms several times, we finally got two rooms next to each other. The beds were lumpy as were the pillows. The light in one bathroom didn't work. The rooms still smelled, but just not as bad. Everything was dirty and/or dingy. It rained very hard outside. The rain came in through the closed window in both rooms. We had to use the towels to keep the rain from running on the carpet. Then the cleaning lady got mad when we asked for more towels! My husband and I both sleep with C-PAP machines. We had to plug them into 2 different outlets. Both outlets would come completely out of the wall when we plugged them in and unplugged them. The grand daddy of them all: we had to get our room keys reprogrammed 9 times for a one day stay. I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. The trip alone was hard on my body. My husband has a bad back. But we had to keep taking turns walking down the hall to the elevator, then down another long hall to the front desk to get our room keys reprogrammed and then back. I think they were having a bit of fun with that. We weren't. We have no.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Mary E. from Muprhy, TX
“The staff is nice and helpful. The hotel is a dump.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Angela from West Monroe, LA
“This hotel was nasty. When I say that we had to fight the roaches I mean just that they were coming from everywhere. If it would not have been 3 AM when we arrived I would have not stayed at this hotel. I could have stayed in a truck stop bathroom and felt more clean.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Stephen from Livingston, LA
“The hotel was ok but was not a 2 star hotel. I have stayed in 1 star hotels that were cleaner, quieter and that had better breakfast.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Michelle from Jasper, AL
“I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. The customer service was outstanding. The hotel was nicer then I thought it would be. We really had a great time!” Jul 23, 2008 by
Becky from Powell, TN
“They slapped on a coat of paint and made the lobby pretty - unfortunately, they neglected the rooms.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Wendell from Rineyville, KY
“Nice comfortable room with microfridge and a good quick start breakfast. Great location for seeing Mobile.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Dominique from Valdosta, GA
“It was horrible. The person who was giving directions didn't sound like they even knew how to speak English, then when I did understand what they said they gave the wrong directions, the room was not clean from the previous person and it was a waste of money.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Tracie from Dayton, OH
“This hotel is very deceiving. Upon check-in the lobby is beautiful. Once you get to the hallway where the rooms start it was downhill from there. There was a constant stinky smell or mildew/mold; in both the hallways and room itself. The bathroom was absolutely filthy. There was used soap still in place and hairs all over the place! The floors were damp looking and absolutely dirty. I wouldn't allow my child to walk on these floors without socks at all times and they always ended up completely filthy. We will never stay at another Days Inn again.” Jun 24, 2008 by
George
“We slept well. The rooms were clean and neat with new carpet - the halls and pool areas could have been cleaned more often. Good location - I would stay there again.” Jun 23, 2008 by
Paul
“This hotel has not been updated since it was built in the 70s. The bathroom was small and dingy. The safety lock had been broken off the first room we were given like the door had been kicked in. The hairdryer did not work in the room and took a long time for a replacement to be found.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Sami from Niceville, FL
“I could not sleep the beds were HORRIBLE, it was hot in the room because the air did not work.” Jun 4, 2008 by
Jeremy from Ridgeland, MS
“This location was not kept up at all. The rooms were extremely old. I ended up sleeping on the floor one night because the beds were so uncomfortable. My son, after crawling on the floor, ( age 1) was covered in black. The perimeter of the campus seemed unsafe.” May 30, 2008 by
Ashlyn from Creola, AL
“This hotel was very nice and kept. Our Jacuzzi suite was very nice! The only thing that I did not like was there wasn't any air in the hallways walking to your rooms. It was like 90 degrees in them. Other than that it was a great location and a wonderful staff. We kept messing our electronic strip up in our keys and they always fixed them without a problem!” May 2, 2008 by
Philip from Portland, OR
“However, I found the recent remodel very clean, staff was accommodating, and the breakfast of waffles and cereal was filling. The breakfast lacked fruit. The location was excellent with easy access to i-65 and i10. Weather was beautiful, and the pool was a plus. Their wireless access worked flawlessly, and the staff cleaned our room daily. The microwave and refrigerator provided an opportunity to save on eating out. We were attending the USTA Super Seniors Nationals, and the hotel provided an easy 7 minute ride to the mobile tennis center.” Apr 30, 2008 by
D from South Holland, IL
“The hotel stay was good. It is a great two star hotel: clean, good beds, good linen, etc. The breakfast, however, is not good. It is merely continental at best and has only one waffle maker machine.” Apr 29, 2008 by
Jack from Mesquite, TX
“Very acceptable for myself. Room and bed comfortable. Common areas such as hallways could have been cleaner.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Nate from Marietta, GA
“Very poor. I had a bad experience both nights. This hotel should not be considered a 2 star. I am very disappointed.” Apr 21, 2008 by
Joshua from Greensboro, NC
“The Days Inn was a poor experience. Upon checking in the clerk gave me a smoking room which reeked heavily. I returned and asked for non-smoking, and he responded that no non-smoking room existed except for rooms with two double beds, which he told me would be an additional 10 dollars! Given that the parking lot was only a quarter full I did not believe this, but he refused to work with me. Also, the rooms were quite dirty and dusty.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Jerry from Headland, AL
“Excellent value, polite staff, clean rooms.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Frances from Pensacola, FL
“The hotel charged me twice for a room. They are not going to even listen to this complaint.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Donnie from Cordova, TN
“Very clean room. Will stay there when I return to Mobile.” Apr 3, 2008 by
Herbie from Crestview, FL
“The hotel was not clean, the beds were uncomfortable, and it smelled funny.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Jon from Mobile, AL “Even though I did not personally stay in the hotel, my relatives were very satisfied, with the room they stayed in.” Mar 19, 2008 by
Jennifer B. from Saraland, AL
“This hotel was independently owned by obvious cheapskates! There was second-hand furniture in the common areas-worn & musty & out of date; my husband said there was no stuffing in the booth at breakfast! The entire place felt like 1 step away from a crack-hotel where you rent rooms by the hour. The staff were rude & not accommodating in any way. There were no roll-away beds or cribs but we had to pay extra for two double beds instead of 1 king for two adults, 1 child & an infant. If this hotel is a 2-star, then Motel 6 is a 4-star resort by comparison.” Mar 16, 2008 by
Rick from Pell City, AL
“This hotel should be less than one star.” Mar 16, 2008 by
Steven from Houston, TX
“Obviously an economy hotel trying to portray itself as a better class hotel. Elevators/hallways extremely dirty. Security latches broken on doors. Easy to hear others walking above. Nasty bed covers.” Mar 15, 2008 by
Vernon from Pell City, AL
“I can't think of anything good to say about this hotel so I will leave it at that.” Feb 28, 2008 by
Jeremy from Orlando, FL
“For the money, not a bad hotel, but I've stayed at better for roughly the same price. It is very convenient, but there were questionable guests and circumstances during our stay. The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing, and they really weren't customer service people, we couldn't even get extra towels! But again, if you're looking at price, it's not a bad hotel.” Feb 24, 2008 by
Krista
“It was awful - the only good part about it was that there was no smoke smell. However, there was candy on the floor, someones hair on the bathroom floor, a used washcloth in the bathtub, and the sheets would not stay on the bed. We were not at all happy.” Feb 9, 2008 by
Vernon from Pell City, AL
“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It had a lot of bad looking people around. The room was dirty. The bed was worn out and the beds did not even have fitted sheets, so they would not stay on through the night.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Natasha from Panama City, FL
“The hotel staff was excellent. Had to change rooms because the first room was suffocating me with the smell of smoke. Hotel staff moved us quickly to another room. The hotel was an ok hotel. Jacuzzi was not inviting and it had big, gapping holes at the bottom of it. The hotel overall wasn't very appealing, but the front desk staff was really nice.” Feb 7, 2008 by
Annjennette from Lagrange, GA
“I thought for the price I was getting a good hotel, but it was not. The room was not ready as planned. It should have a one star raring.” Feb 6, 2008 by
Jason “The room stank of stale tobacco which made our clothes smell. The bed was comfortable enough but the smell made it difficult to sleep. From what I saw I suspect housekeeping was smoking in my room while he cleaned. The hotel was rundown and in general disrepair; the staff was friendly enough. Not a horrible experience, but one I won't repeat.” Feb 4, 2008 by
Will from Tulsa, OK
“I stayed here about a year ago but wasn't aware this was the same hotel until I pulled up out front. I was concerned that the remodeling may not have been completed. I was pleasantly surprised to see that, not only had the remodel went well, the riff raff were nowhere to be seen. The room was beautiful, extremely comfortable and the wireless internet worked perfectly. I would stay there again if I had to go to Mobile.” Jan 10, 2008 by
Johnnie from Orlando, FL
“I would recommend it to others and would stay there again.” Jan 6, 2008 by
Suzanne from Theodore, AL
“The hotel was really stinky. The smell almost knocked us out when we walked in. Our bed was so uncomfortable. It was a very bouncy bed. Me and my man left with our backs hurting. Someone kept knocking on our door saying "room service" when we did not call for any room service. I was walking down the hall and I saw some man that worked there knocking on someone's door saying room service with food in his hands. He had on shorts and a white undershirt with no shoes on. This place was so gross.” Nov 26, 2007 by
Patrick from Marietta, GA
“Hotel was ok.” Nov 17, 2007 by
Robert from Mc Calla, AL
“Homeless people cooking food in the back parking lot. No security present.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Tim from Pageland, SC
“Each area of the country must have different individuals grading the facilities because this property was not up to your usual standard. Also, I requested a two bed room and upon arrival was offered a king bed. To the best of my memory, king beds are always more expensive than a standard 2 doubles. There were two men traveling together and we required separate beds. The desk person was not American and we had a communication issue. Overall, I just was not satisfied.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Susan from Calera, AL
“Great example of the adage that you get what you pay for.” Oct 23, 2007 by
Anthony from Zachary, LA
“I would recommend the hotel upgrade their mattress quality, size and bedding. The room size and cleanliness was good. I did appreciate the walking convenience to historical sites and convenient parking.” Oct 15, 2007 by
Pauline from Hobart, IN
“This motel was not worth the money I lost. But that is my fault. I travel alone and this location was in a very bad place! I was afraid to stay there.” Oct 11, 2007 by
Jason from Germantown, TN
“Hotel is in need of upgrading. Mold\mildew on ceiling. Toilet not working properly. Smell in room was very unique. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff was friendly.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Kevin from Mcdonough, GA
“This hotel has gone down since I last used it many years ago. It used to be very clean and smelled clean, now it has a musty, dirty smell in some areas. In addition, this hotel used to offer a full, hot breakfast. Now, it is a continental breakfast which closes on the dot. Also, when they ran out of milk, we were served some milk which had spoiled. The bed was lumpy and the fitted bed sheet would not stay on the mattress. I guess that is the things that you get for a hotel priced as such.” Sep 17, 2007 by
Jamie from Midland, TX
“It was a bad experience. The room wasn't clean. There was mold on the AC fixture. The hair dryer in the room had rusted prongs. You could not turn on the hot/cold water in the sink. Was not the hotel pictured on your site? Was not offered to change rooms. The ironing board was also broken.” Sep 15, 2007 by
Neveragain from Roswell, GA
“Staff gave me wrong directions to get to hotel. Then when I started to leave refused to give me a receipt for my paid stay so I could place on my expense report. I had to get involved with upper level management to get a freak in receipt. That was after over an hour on the phone with 2 absolutely useless customer service reps. It seemed their job was to put you on hold so many times that you would finally give up and hand up.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Roger A. from Jacksonville, FL
“The hotel was not the best. The light did not work in part of the room, no hot water, holes in floor; the bed was too soft and leaning one way. You feel like you were going to fall off.” Aug 19, 2007 by
Tammy from Van Buren, AR
“The staff understood when part of the family showed up early, but they went ahead and gave them the room. I really appreciate that.”
