• Everything was great. Spacious, clean room. Marble and hard woods. Nice.

“The hotel was conveniently located. However, it was filthy, the bed had bed bugs, the room smelled like cigarettes, the bathtub was no dirty, and it had soap scum and grime. I was so upset. How disgusting. I will never stay at that hotel again.”

• Ceiling was falling on bed. Soda machines were all empty. Unclean facilities.

“Upon arrival, I found that all soda machines were empty and were never refilled throughout the duration of my stay. They only accepted quarters and appeared to have been tampered with by customers, clients etc. The room was humid and damp. The ceiling was falling on my bed and on my face every night and during the day. The sink in the bathroom barely drained and washing hands had to be done in the shower to prevent the sink from overflowing. Light bulbs in the lamps were blown and were never replaced. The cable TV worked for only 7 or 8 channels and one night completely went out and never came back on. This was a terrible experience and would never recommend this hotel to anyone!”

• It was centrally located.
• Although expecting cigarette smoke it also smelled like not properly cleaned.

“I really wouldn't stay here again. My room smelled bad. Set up was good but in my sons room which he bought separately from hotel. Ice bucket missing, air conditioner not worker, no ashtray although was smoking room. Towels not in room. When he called desk he was told, the hotel didn't have enough ice buckets, no one available to fix AC and he was not offered another room in exchange. Swimming pool was nice but had not been skimmed. Full of trash and son skimmed some of it out.”

• Ice machines broken, ants on sink, sheet did not fit, poor quality soaps.

“Staff were very nice, friendly, helpful. Location very convenient, with many stores and restaurants within 5 miles. Room had two doubles. We had a good experience except for tiny ants in the sink, poor quality soaps, a poorly fitted bottom bed sheet, and worst of all, the ice machines throughout the complex, except for one near the office, were not operating.”

• The staff was excellent.
• The beds were horrible. You could feel the springs.

“This hotel has an excellent staff. The continental breakfast was good and the area was clean. The room was clean but the beds were awful. It wasn't the worst hotel by any means. I would recommend it for travelers, but not for extended stay.”

“Stay somewhere else less cheaply and internet at their rate, you will not be able to read or sent emails, stuff, or use a search engine. I could have stayed in a hotel without internet. Hotel needs remodeling.”

• The beds were really comfortable and the hotel room was exactly what I was looking for.
• Prom night and kids partying all night in the parking lot of the restaurant next door.

“I was concerned after reading all of the negative reviews of this hotel, but when we got there and checked in, I was convinced that the folks writing those reviews were talking about a different hotel completely. This hotel was easy to get to, in a great location with a mall across the street and lots of restaurants to choose from. The hotel staff were very courteous and friendly, the rooms were as clean as they could be and the beds were some of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. I really have no complaints about this hotel at all. I was very pleased with all aspects of it and it was totally full every night that we were there.”

“The hotel was fine, but I can't figure why you would put a circular toilet lid on an oval bowl, can you? The movie selection was really quite good, but expensive. $13-14 is pretty high for a somewhat new release of which I saw three of on my stay.”

“Hotel is on the low end. It's location is awkward to get into and out of. Room was quiet, bed comfortable, clean. I do prefer to have a door that exits to a hallway rather than the outside.”

• The location gives you easy-access to numerous restaurants and stores.
• It was dirty.

“I've stayed at here before, and it was wonderful This time around, it was really disappointing. There were ashes and pubic hair on the floor of our non-smoking room's bathroom. The dirty floors made our socks black. One day housekeeping completely skipped our room, and for no reason (the "do not disturb" sign was sitting on the TV, so it wasn't like we requested they skip us). The bottom of the bathtub was a grayish-black color, and you had to practically be Houdini to get the hairdryer to work. There were blood stains on the underside of the bedspread, and a few spots on the sheets.”

• The second room was brand new.
• The afternoon staff was rude and unhelpful the 1st room I was in was extremely dirty.

“The first room I was in on the left side of the office was disgusting, there was garbage on the bed along with hair and dirt, no blankets, the floor was dirty, the telephone did not work, and the TV was just for looks there was no remote control and it would not turn on. The front desk person when I checked in was very rude and was reluctant to move me into a nicer room (it seemed that I was an inconvenience to her). On a brighter note the rooms to the right of the office must have been brand new. The rooms were freshly cleaned with extra blankets and extra pillows, it was a very comfortable nights sleep. The young lady at check out was very nice and seemed to truly be concerned about my experience.”

“Got there at 3 pm; no rooms were clean yet; the maid had an attitude that she had to get to work; then a 1-inch gap of the door jam let cold air in so; I had to use a towel to fix that; bed hard as a rock and toilet always ran and the heat from the window unit. If I could do a back charge on my credit card I would. Dont stay here.”

• Comfortable bed, lots of water pressure in the shower, and a spacious room with a huge desk!
• It's on an access road that is a little confusing. Once you go down it several times, it makes sense though.

“After staying in a La Quinta in Charleston, SC, and being completely dissatisfied and disgusted, I was dreading staying here. But, after I was given this room by naming my own price, my stay here was GREAT! There wasn't a spec of dirt in the room- not even in the shower. It was, by far, the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel. The shower was wonderful, and had great water pressure, there was a comfortable recliner in the room, and it was spacious- we weren't cramped at all. Each member of the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and even helped me put ice in our cooler. After this experience, I will most likely pay the higher price to stay here in the future. I was REALLY impressed!”

• Asked for handicapped room, was told non were available, husband had recent back surgery and had to walk up the stairs.

• Breakfast was subpar.

“Interior rooms were quiet and very nice. Furniture was a little subpar (desk was wobbly) but bed was comfortable. The breakfast was described on their website as deluxe continental - not sure what made it deluxe in their minds. Most hotels offer yogurt for breakfast - they did not. Access to the hotel is difficult for anyone not familiar with Mobile's strange access roads off the main roads. They should better describe directions to and from the hotel. Staff was not familiar with or would not give recommendations for local restaurants.”

• Bed was pretty awful - could feel the coils.

“An okay hotel. We had no wireless and, most of the time, no TV. Staff alleged it was due to weather (rain). Front desk could not tell me how to get closed caption off TV, but staff was friendly. I'd give this a 1-1/2 star rating.”

“I think them needs to fix their bathroom and restrooms. Also, stop charge people when they had a zero balance. They did refund my money after I call them but I will not go there or recommend anybody to there.”

“The rooms are the cleanest I have seen in a long time. The bathroom was clean as well. The staff was friendly and polite. We had a non-smoking room and it truly was a non-smoking room. It had a fresh clean smell. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”
